I love LeBron James' game but his antics are crazy. The LA Lakers are going to trade away their future just to make him happy. I hope that the NBA will block this move. What do you have to say guys? How do you rank LeBron James as one of the greatest players of all time?

It's not just Lebron that is pushing for AD but the whole Lakers front office, them more so than him. When you get a lebron James in his 16th year via free agency, immediately the timeline for competing for a championship gets accelerated. So the direction the Lakers wanted to go as soon as they got him in the summer was to surround him with talent this season or next that can challenge GSW.

For his position in the all time list, speaking objectively, Lebron is already a top 10 player of all time, where anyone puts him on that list is based on individual preferences.

When is the NBA all star game and how can I watch it in naija?

Super sports are not showing the NBA...

Who else loves college basketball?

I really don't enjoy watching Harden's style of basketball. He often uses his off hand to push defenders to give him space, he flops and exaggerates contact, and he has the ball in his hands the majority of the shot clock in each possession.

Surely the Pelicans are asking themselves why didn't they trade Anthony Davis or just shut him down the rest of the season. What are the odds he was going to last till season end without getting injured?

Khanben:
Markeff Morris to OKC another solid pick up by the Thunder. Hopefully a WCF with GSW awaits them.
Very needed. For me he's an upgrade at their Power Forward position at least and should push Patrick Patterson further down the bench

Randle dropping 33,11 and 6 assist, zubac dropping 16 & 11 in 22 mins, DLo producing all-star numbers.... Mehn the Lakers front office is cursed grin For crying out loud if you knew you don't want to resign randle at least trade him for some assets. So much blunders back to back for the Lakers
Luol Deng and mozgov deals
DLo trade
Drafting lonzo
Letting randle walk for free
The poor offers for Paul George and Kawhi
The Anthony Davis debacle
Tampering fines
Dwight Howard and steve nash disaster

Mehn! Since Dr Buss died the Lakers have been up there with the Knicks and Suns in shithousery, save for lebron looking for a sunny retirement home angry

No offense but he deserves to get fired.

New Orleans will definitely get low balled now cause everyone will know they are desperate

This is one outcome that was easy to predict. AD just got injured again, by summer nobody knows what might happen. Demps was employed as a GM for the Pelicans not as the standard bearer for small market teams. Taking that Lakers deal was the best deal they could get. With their better player development(see what they are doing with Julius Randle) they maybe in 2+ years will have turned 2 or 3 of those players into all-star caliber players that can then be traded or used to better the team.

I don't think they fired him cause of that Lakers trash deal.

"New Orleans owner Gayle Benson has been angry over the Davis trade demand and her belief that "outside forces" are trying to push the franchise into decisions that don't make sense for it, league sources said.

Her mandate has been to "take back control from outside forces," one league source told ESPN. Benson has been adamant with the organization to find a pathway to sustainable winning in one of the league's smallest markets, and plans to be aggressive in pursuing the best available candidates to oversee basketball operations, league sources said."

To what end AD? Now the home fans where you have played since you got drafted boo you every time you touch the ball or go to the free throw line. You are not playing the 4th Q of games and as much as the NBA has forced the Pels to play you, they can't tell the Pels how long, you are now averaging a lower average, finished with 3 points the other day and now your shoulder is injured. Worse stil, your teammates are no longer happy with you. To what end AD? This entire situation spun out of hand and became too much for AD to manage. I promise you, if AD had waited until the end of the season before making this public, it would have gone well.

I hope he gets his dream move and he can move on from this situation. It has definitely dampened his reputation.

Just saw this on twitter, this is by a long shot the best deal the Pelicans can get for AD.

"Package would look something like the knicks 2019 1st which could be (Zion, Barrett, or Morant), 2020 Ny 1st, 2021 Dallas 1st, Kevin Knox, 2022 NY 1st, 2023 Dallas 1st"

With that deal, they just need to move Jrue holiday's deal then think long term.

You are absolutely right. He overplayed his hand. But I do not think he cares.

He wants to get out from NOLA. He doesn't care how he achieves it. What that GM should have done is trade him, and unfortunately, I am certain that Laker offer was the best offer.

That offer from the Lakers was the best they were going to get. There is no point trying to hold on to a disgruntled man and expect him to do his job fine. Not absolving Davis from blame, he could have done this another route... Like PG?

But at the same time, NOLA has much to lose.

Demps and NOLA lost this one already IMO

I stand by my point that he is an idiot, only way I won't call him an idiot is if news come out that there way larger forces at work like owners, and even at that, He should have jejely resigned.

Man, he sucked that joint up.

I kind of had a feeling it had to be the higher ups one way or the other

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:43pm On Feb 15, 2019
Wait let me get this straight. He would have been fired for trading AD. He held on to AD and still got fired? undecided anyway if I'm Dell Demps I think it's for the best that I get a severance check and leave this impending dumpster fire of a team

You either trade AD or shut him down for the year. I know AD said he wanted to play but if you watched the Magic game and the laughable effort and shots he was jacking up you would know it's all eye service and transparent BS

If I'm the Lakers the previous offer is off the table all I'd give them now is Ingram, Muscala and a draft pick or two and I'm dead serious

If he was the sole maker of that decision then I completely agree. However I just have that weird feeling that it was not entirely his call. As a GM it makes absolutely no sense to not have made that trade

Did Sir Charles just call Dirk the greatest foreign ever on the Half-Report show Team world vs Team USA? Or does he mean greatest non-citizen, given Olajuwon later obtained citizenship?

i wish we can go back to when 90 pts was a high scoring game. what we are watching right now is not basketball. this is a business decision to grow nba viewership, even if the product sucks.

You can look up the schedule on nba.com. The all star game will be shown on KFS (Kwese free sports). If you are in Lagos, you should be able to get that station, you can search for it with your normal antenna, unless you have Kwese Tv. Kwese have gone awol but there is still free to air sports on the useless decorder (Kwese free sports and 2 others) and they show at least 5 games every week (they show select games randomly during the week and a game every weekend). So just search for Kwese with your normal antenna and in Lag, you will get KFS and watch some games live from there. I have the useless decorder tho and its just free to air now so I just watch most games there and stream the rest.

True, if you are referring to today's NBA, All teams are easily scoring a 100 points, you can't make the playoffs if you score less than 110. It's easy to say, today's NBA is quite easy. I also think the pre-requisites for success today in the NBA, are significantly different form the 90s
