Am a preclinical dental student from OAU that's curious about NBDE exam, what's all about??
I heard it's divided into two(part l and part all).
Most important, can i take the the exam while still in school.Suggestion, enlightenment and advice are highly welcome.

No. I disagree. Keith Moore is too bulky and will consume your time. You might spend the whole of your preclinics reading while others are playing basketball and reading news. If you can't use last, your surebet is Gray's anatomy student version. Good book, good graphics and easy to understand.

This is just my opinion, I'm actually not a fan of big books. Moreover, I started using last in 2nd year. Never used anything else, save for few clinical notes on Richard Snell and rare occasion looked at pictures in Gray's. It worked for me. I got distinction in anatomy with ease, I'm serious when I say, with ease. Good luck.
Therr are no clearcut rules in medical school. What works for Mr. A might send Mr. B home. It's good to know what others are doing but tailor your study to suit yourself. Most big books have multiple authors who write differently e.g Robins & Cotran. It is an important observation because some people desire to read a single book cover-to-cover. I believe it pays to have different books. If there is difficulty in studying a chapter in book A, look for it in book B,C or D. As long as content is not lost, simplicity of text is key for me.

Taking Physiology Seriously Or Getting Dentistry??

I am in my penultimate year studying Physiology at the University of Ibadan, I have gotten Jamb's UTME form in which I applied to study dentistry at ABU, Zaria, should I concentrate more on the UTME (Since the job prospects of Physiology are few) or take the Physiology seriously?

Lagusta, Eloise, Mandeyy, Dr.Lomaxx, angiography, RectusAbdominis, tonye001, DrThanos, Dbraniac1, oogway, dolapo74, gregdcutie, exorene, starfx, au79, Zico5, donpre, ISISs et al

Have you considered concentrating on both equally... Like maybe read for jamb today then the next day handle physiology stuffs..i know it is not gonna be easy, I have been there ...if ur passion is dentistry, then u have to prepare for jamb well and not neglect physiology at the Same time ..

UTME is almost less than a month, and Universities are still enjoying the election break, even if school resumes fully, no exam will be conducted in a month time but JAMB is here already, so, study hard for UTME, ace the exam and turn to physiology.
If you secure admission for Dentistry or not, you have nothing to lose

That guy is in final year PHYSIOLOGY, UI. I think his question is whether to pursue PHYSIOLOGY to the apex or do D.E to DENTISTRY as was initially planned. Now advice him better.

Oh, I was oblivious of the "penultimate". Well, he can discard of the advice he doesn't need, las las he has to ace the UTME, abi you want him to relax and get 140 in the exam? All the best though #followYourHeart
