One secret I use in making money in Nigeria is to always base my calculations that Nigeria would be worst tomorrow than today. It always work for me I don't know why. The average Nigerian mindset is that "e go better" but history shows that it has never been better with time in Nigeria. By this time next 2years, we will all be complaining about Atiku and how he needs to be voted out(thats if he wins). Most of these politicians know this. They don't keep Naira, they keep dollars. If Mr A and Mr B start investing in tbills today with same amount. But Mr A is doing tbills in dollars while Mr B is doing tbills in naira, in 20years time, Mr A would have at least, twice the money Mr B has. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

ahiboilandgas: My oga I beg to disagree with u on this one @tritri and @agbaletu are spot on, I just spoke to my cousin a cbn senior staff, the stability we see in the dollar rate is cosmetic and not driven by the market forces of demand and supply. This means that if a new govt comes in to change the monetary policy we will be left at the mercy of inflows and outflow of the dollar which in itself depends on soo many other factors like security, constant power supply etc.... Atiku may not be good for my investments even though I don't like bubu's nepotism. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Agbaletu: Am on the same page with you sir ..ur analysis is good ..Free float will first make the naira to struggle /depreciate before its get its right value it may even go as high as 500 , then with more forex coming in from foreign investors hen it will find its true value That is the PRICE to pay and remember this is good for the FOREIGN INVESTORS , this is the moment they have been waiting for to buy nigeria ASSETS cheap , one of the reasons they did'nt like the economy policies of the present govt regarding not floating of naira [Defending the Naira for months with the External reserves then ] until the fx window was created for them If Atiku wins and says naira must be on a free float , the investors are on the sideline to buy Naija Assets cheap imagine naira [for exapple on 450 to 500 naira] before coming down..I just hope it won't go as high as that , but hey anything can happen so its important to diversify ones investment We keep watching as time goes on 1 Like |

lancee: I hope we're not deralin the thread. Bros dollar will climb 700 and will likely countinue climbin. here r my reason .. do you think the burea d change guyz / aboki's r crazy ? dey will hoard d dollar for price to increase.# supply&demand. the bank manager's will join to hoard $$ as well. Then price of raw material / food/ building materials will increase... Policitians will join. but if the policitians and aboki and bank manager's can be monitored then fine, $$ will reduce I BELIEVE DAT. BUT GREED IS A VERY POWERFUL DRIVING FORCE. |

michealekene: If you live in Canada and you want to starch some money away into your Nigerian account for treasury bills, now is the time to make your move. World Remit, and Ping express still has the rate at 266 and 264 respectively. Act now before these transfer companies changes their rates to 140 Naira per dollar. I just transferred some money at 266 using World Remit. I did not believe they haven't updated their rate to 140 per dollar until I saw the money land in my GTB account. Nna mehnn I wish I had more dollars to send |

tritritri: I totally agree with u ..That was what happened the last time as well..I hope any floating of the naira would be contained as soon as possible Well i do not think we re derailing the thread ..The discussion has to do with tbills investment somehow ..one needs to think after election b4 you choose any tbills tenor Like i said earlier. .we keep observing 1 Like 1 Share |
