Pls am an university fresher, and this will be my first post. I wanna know both advantages & disadvantages of being a class rep in a department. The mod shul pls push it to front page tnx.

Advantage
You make cool cash


Disadvantage
Cult guys go slap you that your eyes way small go open
You might not be lucky sometimes gun down if they know you have gathered money from student for handout or sorting
Then you are a bank to rob

Money from handouts, sex from ladies

PROS;
1. You gain leadership, oratory and time/anger management skills. You will have to manage a group of people, as well as talk yourself out of different situations.

2. You will earn respect by virtue of your office.

3. You will have ladies flocking around you. Automatic ladies man.

4. You will be very informed as you will most likely be the first recipient of information.

5. You will have a level of immunity. Except you are a complete dunce, lecturers wouldn't allow a good course rep fail.

6. Course reps are yahoo boys. The difference between them in first year and final year calls for concern.


CONS;
1. You will earn haters. Sometimes you will need to step on toes, especially during donations/contributions. Some people are born onigbese...

2. You can easily get dickstracted by female attention.

3. Bad boys (cultist) and angry lecturers would easily pick on you.

4. If you too carry the thing for head without giving due attention to your books...you won't just spill; you will roll over.

5. You will receive lots of insults, curses and be involved in scandals. "He is dating this" "e chop our money, e no chop".

6. You will take the fall for your colleagues so many times. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.

In all, I think it isn't a bad one. But if you are not a multitasker, I wouldn't advise you go that path. Focus on your studies and graduate with good grades.

I am also an undergraduate.i can tell you for a fact that you should go for it. I regretted not taking up the chance when I had the opportunity. aside from the disadvantages of taking your time and attention it has an advantage to grow your personality.You begin to multi task and learn to work with people, good networking with great minds that might change your life forever.

It may affect u and it may not...it depends on how intelligent u re. Being a class rep come with a lot of task and it will take ur time....therefore, know what u re doing
