Thanks for the quick response and for enlightening me.

Could you please assist me with the names of the schools with low tuition fee? And the steps apply for the admission. Thanks very much!

My testimony (part one)
If the Lord is on my side who can be against me.

2006, I was suppose to graduate from Unilorin (Maths Edu Department) but somethings happened I graduated 2008 with a third class. Mind all of 2007, I was waiting for my call up letter only to be informed that I had a missing grade. I missed a whole year without deferring my studies yet I was allowed back in.

I cried, I felt like killing myself. I never wanted to study that course. All I wanted was to be an Economist/Accountant. Due to my parents pressure I resumed like 2 weeks to my 100 level exam. I didn't take any test just the exams.
All I have in my mind was I am going to quit after my Jamb score is out. My score came out, I was not selected for Economics I became frustrated. Now in 200 level starring at the abysmal grade before me.
I was a social science student one of the best in my secondary school now my live dreams is falling apart.

My mother encouraged me and I decided to face the course squarely with everything thing I got. But it wasn't easy cos it wasn't my area of specialisation.
300 level I was practically begged to become the president of my department but I refused cos I need to rescue my CGPA.

That I did to a lower 2.2 until the unfortunate missing grade.
My parent wasn't mad at me rather they praised me and encouraged me. I was shocked beyond words.
2010 I got a job same year I was admitted for Economics at the University of Ibadan distance learning centre.
"If I have but one merit that is never given up".
Working and schooling wasn't easy. I missed on a 2.1 by a fraction!
Now fulfilled I applied for an international program from my place of work, sponsored by United states Department of States Bureau of Educational and Exchange Program.
To my greatest astonishment, I was the only one selected in Nigeria out of 30000 applicants.
I spent five days in Washington DC and 2 months at Bowling Green State University all expenses paid as a visiting scholar. It was between January-March 2018

My qualifications are third class Bsc (Ed) Maths Unilorin and Second class lower Bsc Economics DISTANCE LEARNING CENTRE! Yet I was called a VISITING SCHOLAR by the United states Department of States.

I came back applied for a master's in the same school.
I submitted my Unilorin transcript Tuesday evening.
Yesterday, March 1 I received my admission letter.

Never let anyone tell you it's impossible! There is no impossibility in God's own dictionary. Don't give up, pray, fast and work hard!
God bless you all!

I'm trying to apply to a undergraduate degree abroad in the U.S. I have some concerns at the moment.

1. I'm 32 years old, and applying for an undergraduate degree. Will that be an issue when I get to embassy for visa interview?

Though, I have a first degree but 3rd class and most schools I applied to only accept first degree with CGPA of 2.5 above. I also did a PGD too upgrade my result.

2. The schools in the US request for transcripts of my secondary school, but I told them schools in Nigeria only provide waec and neco certificates. I graduated secondary school in 2003 so I am not sure how to go about that.

Those are my major concerns. I need help or advice on how to go about both.

Thanks

Did you try talking to graduate program coordinators for your program of choice on if you can combine your BSc with your PGD?

Sit down. Clear your mind. Turn on your phone recorder and spill out your life story in 15 minutes.
Rewind the recording, and start writing.

Coming from Nigeria, you should have the most compelling life story to convince any admissions officer

Good advice, but it doesn't work that way. There are ways of doing this to make it convincing. You need a good life story but there are certain things admission committee want to see to make them consider you.

You can contact me if you want me to help you through or I can help you.

There is more funding for msc chemistry and it's less competitive than chemical engineering. There are some schools that don't require GRE for MSc chemistry but you will hardly see any engineering program that doesn't require GRE in USA. My advice is for you to stick with MSc chemistry so you can get funding easily but if your passion is engineering, prepare for GRE and give it a try.
Please list of schools for full funding in MSC chemistry. Thanks!

Depending on the school but most top schools it is both. Your ss1 to ss3 result and Waec.
Although schools requirement varies so check

No clue on how to go about calculation
