The pain in my heart right now is the fact that I am deeply confused and feel like there is no solution anywhere. All I get is questions upon questions and even with my answers they end up telling me just read the site and read the site. I have read them both and slept on them but I need help so I don't go about assessing wrongly and wasting a whopping 860 AUD that I don't have

Let me ask again. Oga Bellong and all the gurus in the house , help so I can commence my process by this coming week.

I need your help please as I seem to have a different case from most people. Having work experience in a field entirely different from my degree in education

I have a degree in English Language education and graduated in 2008 from UNN although i really have not done anything teaching except for my teaching prqcrice and the year i thought before NYSC which should be cumulatively 3 years. I have been working as an Admin/Client relationship officer with over 8 years experience although from different companies (1,3 and 4 years in my current place of work).

I have gone through Anzsco and realised that VETASSESS has customer service manager by virtue of experience and not degree qual but because people say that VETASSESS is getting strict with assessing people who do not have experience in similar field. In fact, a lady on the whatsapp group told me there was nothing like waiving some years off the experience as she did that and VETASSESS denied her, I thought to go with AITSL which is the assessing body for teaching. Although their requirements are not so straight forward but i can try. I have never seen anyone who assessed as a teacher which makes it more difficult to decide.

In my confusion, another said i should try TRA. I am jist getting frustrated because this is something i ought to have started processing by now because my decision would also help me in choice for English test as AITSL doesn't accept PTE only IELTS.

Although AITSL doesnt demand for experience at this initial stage but i hear the process thereafter is rigorous.

PLEASE WHO HAS ASSESSED FROM A BODY DIFFERENT FROM HIS DEGREE STUDY AND ALSO, WHO HAS ASSESSED WITH AITSL. I would have tri3d both but the money is too mich for douvle gamble.

Help a sister pleaseeee

Ask your question here, you will get a response. You may wait forever without getting a response if you want someone to contact you.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 12:43am On Mar 03, 2019
@Champepe,

I think I already responded to your question before.

AIM is the body responsible for assessing sales manager. They have strict requirements about who they call managers. If you meet it, go ahead and assess with AIMS. Your best bet is the sales manager occupation.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 1:00am On Mar 03, 2019
@AmaSophy,

You have read that you don't need work experience to assess with AITSL. I don't think there is anything complicated on their website.

Sit for IELTS and score minimum of 7 in each band. However, without any experience, will you be able to make the minimum of 65 points?

Secondly, I don't think there is any formal qualification for a customer service manager. People I know that got positive assessment in the occupation do not have any academic qualification as a customer manager. What you should be concerned about is how you can align your job descriptions with that of the anzsco job descriptions for a customer service manager.

VETASSES will give you a positive assessment if your job descriptions align. Customer service manager is a skill level 2 which means you don't have to worry if your school is tier 1 or not. If you can align your skills to the job descriptions of a customer service manager, you stand a very high chance of getting a positive assessment.

Goodluck.

Your English score is good for assessment but not enough to score any point. To get a point in English, you need a minimum of 7 in each band.

Read the thread to understand the process.

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by AmaSophy: 10:22am On Mar 03, 2019
Thank you Bellong. I will go for the VETASSESS and pray it turns out well. My major concern was the fact that I had those experience in DIFFERENT companies and proof to show them might be quite difficult except for employment letter. Any other proof might just be almost impossible except for my present place of work which I have done for 4 years. VETASSESS it is then. Thank you.

Good day house,

Thank you all so much for the free and valuable information here. I've learnt so much.
I want to start my journey to obtain the Australian PR.

I studied Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and have been practicing for 6 years now. I know there is a tier grading system for Nigerian universities by the Assessing bodies. Will my degree be assessed as an equivalent to an Australian one considering that my university is neither a tier 1 nor 2?

Does anyone have a similar experience? I'd appreciate inputs from elders in the house.

The question is a difficult one to answer because of the body it relates with. For some occupations, VETASSES are particularly strong about having qualification relevant to it. Going by the what Food science and Technology is, it is not closely related to an agricultural consultant. I can't say you will get a negative assessment or a positive one, it depends on the views of the assessor.

I am not sure if VETASSES still does their advisory service. If they still do, you can use the option to have an idea of your assessment chances.

I just stumbled across this thread, please forgive my ignorance if my question sounds too basic ( I have not really read much about the Australia PR process)
Here are my details:
Age:35
BSC architecture
MSc. architecture inview
Work experience 7years (architecture firm)
Married with 3 kids
What are my chances and where do I start from

Your chances is dependent on the requirements of your assessing body. You should read about the requirements for assessment.

Generally without assessment, you can get the following points

Age: 25
Qualification: 15
English: ?
Experience: ?

What is your wife's occupation?

Engineering courses in Nigeria are five year courses, as a result, all engineering degrees are assessed to be equivalent to AQF Bachelor irrespective of the university you graduate from.

Please, recently (late 2018 or 2019) who has gotten ITA with a 70points score for ICT Business or System Analyst

There ars things you cannot control and the ones you are at the drivers seat.
ITA most times depends on what they want or how high you are able to score.
You have 70 Points? You've done well for yourself, just sit and wait for nature to play its cause..

GoodNews is, their new law states that even if your EOI has lasted for up to A Year, E.g 65 points in the next financial year whenever them 65 pointers are being called upon, that they'd start from old applicants.

Goodluck.

If she has experience in her field, she can be the principal applicant. Whoever can come up with the highest point should be the principal applicant.

Good day everyone, please I need help.
My husband and I decided to try the Australian route after trying the Canada express entry program.
My husband is a medical Doctor, but in the last 6years he has not been practicing clinical medicine, he works with the ministry of health and he does more of administrative jobs,(statistics).he works in the ambulance department.
I'll like to know if he can get a positive assessment from VETASSES, if he uses one of these related occupation.
#Ambulance officer
#Emergency service worker
#intensive care ambulance paramedics.
#Occupational health and safety adviser.
Thanks, I'll patiently wait for your response.

That's a good option. You are lucky. Many states are nominating it for visa 190. Northern Territory is nominating it for visa 489. Also apply for that Northern territory.

Just read the requirements of each of the states and kickstart the process as soon as possible.
