Respective departments have sat and have made decisions on applications. Their decisions have been transmitted to the School of Graduate Studies who will communicate the applicants. Right now, SGS is making the final combination of the list.
Thanks
Let them be fast cos we're running short of time.
Application deadline for my department is may 1. Hope they make a decision.

Thanks so much boss for your response. My mum and my brother was at her office yesterday and she was crying and begging that there was fraud on her account at the bank. I personally do not belive her stories because I can sight a lot of discrepancies in her previous text and calls. She has only remitted 500,000 out of the 4.4million sent to her(she’s claiming the bank has put her account on hold due to the fraud issue). We intend taking further actions.

Some agents deserve no pity. Why didn't she remit the money immediately she got it back from the school?

Hello, please when filling application form online and also doing the submission online, how will I go about the signature part before submitting on the portal or will print out and sign the part then scan back to submit

You do not have to sign. Just go ahead and validate and that takes care of the signature. Once you validate, then it generates an additional page that has the barcode on it.

If you read the instructions carefully, you’ll find it crystal stated there that you don’t need to print, sign and scan.

The signature needed in an online submission is just the confirmation of your name and date of birth at the final window for submission. So, just go ahead. I know that you are smart, you can figure it out. Mayb Someone might explain better

ALWAYS READ INSTRUCTIONS

You can respond without been rude.

Is it possible to get PR through EE without a Masters degree but more than 5 years work experience?

If you are below 31years of age, max out IELTS, and have a sibling who is a PR or Citizen. If you do not have a sibling to get the extra 15points, then the max you can get with a BSc would be 441 which is also possible but with the high cut off points of late might take a while. However, if you have another qualification like HND or OND/Diploma/NCE/some other recognized professional certificates with a BSc, then you are good. Another option might be exploring Provincial Nomination. You can consult the FSW/EE thread for more information.

Dear Seniors n Gurus,
Pls am new here and I need help. My spouse is applying for MBA admission in canada which an almost certain he will get by God's grace. However there is an issue am preempting, my spouse is currently running his company which he wrote on his cv as working in the company as a staff not the owner.

My fear is how will this affect TRV application? Pls your expert judgement is needed.

Hello,

I don't know if you've been answered, but I'll add this:

YOU DO NOT NEED A SPONSOR WHO LIVES IN CANADA. You just need one who has enough money to prove that they can take care of you while you're there. Please don't be deceived. Even your dad can be your sponsor, as long as he has the money to show.

Hope this helps.

Johnsonkelvin:
yeah,he gave a new suggestion for my case,I didn't know we were also meant to have a sponsor in Canada, aside from my original nigerian sponsor.
Cause no one on nairaland talked about it b4

Hello,

So sorry for all these refusals and delay. Those denials won't affect your chances of applying for a study permit again. I applied thrice, got denied twice and was given on the third attempt. So don't worry about that. Also, I don't think there are "African VOs". I think they are all Canadians living in African countries.

Good luck.

blet:
Pursuing Canadian visa has made me know what real heartbreak is. I earlier applied June last year, for study visa, My mistake was I applied with my wife ( we saw an advert somewhere online saying we could apply together), well, we were rejected visa. i applied alone on nov 3rd 2018 they didnt even waste time, by 22nd November they informed me my visa was rejected. Now its on their record I applied twice and was rejected twice: travel aplication history is affected. I have not given up sha, but have I completely ruined my chances to get visa to Canada? Does anyone think I could apply to Canada in the future? Or should I just focus on other countries? What if I try through PR would my record affect my application? God bless the African VOs and VOs worldwide who say we wont come back. undecided

Hi,

I don't know if this would work tho. One of my applications was w/out proof of financial support, even though I included my funding letter, i was still denied. I'm not trying to discourage or scare him, but I'll advise you to tell him to have at least 1m in his personal account if he won't be including a sponsor. And in his SOP/LOE he should properly explain that the scholarship will be more than enough to cover the 2 years of his study.

My two cents.

GboyegaD:

I do not think you need a sponsor. My roommate came in last session on full funding without any additional sponsor except for personal savings. I never attached any additional sponsor during my time either. That is the reason I suggest you use online as it doesn't complicate things. Your own personal savings to cover the cost of flights coupled with your funding letter (provided it covers tuition + $10k cost of living) is sufficient.

Hi,

What CV? The one he submitted to the school? If that's the one you're referring to, I don't see a problem. Study permit application and admission application are two separate and somewhat unconnected things. I could be wrong, but I don't think the content of one's application documents are shared with the visa offices/officers. So, he could always change that role on his CV.

Hope this help, unless you're asking a different question, then it might not help lol

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 3:00am On Mar 07, 2019
Hello,

I don't think you can do this. Here's why: in those 3 months between September and January, what will you be doing? Yes you'll have a work permit but the law states that you can't start work until you resume school. So, how will you feed for those months?

So, you can apply, get the visa then wait till you're close to your resumption, then you go. Also, winter months are very cold in Saskatchewan - this is where the University of Regina is located - so I suggest you go in the Fall and acclimatise before the winter period.

But, I'll like you seek the advise of others on this.

Based on your advice and that of GboyegaD, I have resolved to either getting a sponsor with minimum of 5M in his account, or having minimum of 1M in my own account.

Thanks so much everyone, it is becoming clearer to me now.

This is fine as well. That is the essence of the LoE and it is meant to explain things to the VO that one might foresee the VO having issues with.

Unfortunately, I do not have an idea on how this works and I can only wonder why someone will want to come in Fall and then wait till Winter before taking classes.
