good day
my birds of 6days refuses to eat at night
even when i give them light in form of
kerosene lantern and i use sunseed starter
which is in crmble form.
Even in day time while some are eating
some will be sleeping while some will just
stan still like they are catching cold with
dropping of feathers.
I use organic method in brooding and all
their stool are solid with white on top.
I also use maxi yield molasses as my
multivitamin.pls what can i do to make all
of them very active and to eat more.

Off period means when their is no big celebration like sallah or Christmas
Which sallah are you talking about in 17wks cos I know fasting is starting soon
Broiler sells during sallah but confirm from market women in your area which sallah sales d most cos market sales differ from place to place

Its not always d best to demarket hatcheries like this cos they are still into production and have very good testimonies from some farmers but I will advice you if there CRD issues just give them lasota on day 7 and keep an eye on them .
But if u think u many not be able to monitor them u can go for another hatchery of your choice

I really didn't mean to de market them as a matter of fact I have also got good reviews about how good their doc are and was just trying to look for their challenges so I can be prepare ahead and not allow that affect me....

Why not use 11000 out of same cash by 50 broilers use d remaining for feeding and drugs and additional money to support d feeding and make 40-80% return on investment

2ndly is dat, I want to go for 150 birds to be raise for 4 weeks and after that will go for 200birds to raise 100 for 4 weeks and 100 for Dec period. I need to know more about brooding, feeding, and d drug to give them. I'm afraid of loss coz I've invest so much on d building and I can't afford to lose, but I believe with good people in this thread, we'll all succeed together.
I need ur mentoring.. Please help a brother.

Good orientation, u won't have much worry about rain splashes. I will advice that you read pages 1-30 at least of this thread. If u know nothing about poultry as u claim, please and pleaseooo buy 50 birds.this is to get u acquainted with birds. If u don't have 24 hrs or little less electricity supply for heating, then consider charcoal as the weather is still somewhat cold. If the room is too big, build a temporary brooding apartment inside, this is to reduce heat dissipation through unknown holes in the room. As u read, you will know the necessary drugs to buy, antibiotics, vitamins, anti cocci and others ..success in your journey

Do u have buyers for 4weeks birds, people sell two weeks broilers not 4weeks. Then , wait till late September to buy DOC FOR December. Ie , 10-12weeks to 30th December. For the floor, buy any good detergent example ,hypo, use it to wash and spray ur pen..
