I know a couple that got married at 31/34 and the marriage didn't last 4 years. Age is not maturity.

if you see your wife none of those things matters,I got married in 1999 at 23 years and wife is also 23,so the 19 years of married life has been filled with times of joy and saddness,but whenever I look at my first daughter now 18 yrs in the uni,I knew that I made the right choice and also my first son at 16 yrs now is my driver getting ready for the university.my wife and daughter look so alike and young that people find it hard to believe she is her mother, thinking they are sisters.

The fact you were financially stable at 23 doesn't mean everyone else is. If you aren't stable enough please don't go into marriage.

It solely depends on your personal goals and vision. If you think you are established to a level and are certain marriage will not affect the rest of your ambition, then proceed. 25 years of age is reasonable. But like me, i will not bring forth a child until I have the resources to give him or her the most competitive academic, social and spiritual training obtainable. I would rather have no children at all then one that is any standard below world class. Secondly, i have 6 major professional feats of which i have attained 2, 2 are in progress, and the last two will come much later. Marriage will definately obstruct or atleadt frustrate these plans. This was the primary reason i broke out of a relationship with a lady who was beginning to push marrige plans even when i hinted that she slowed things down.

So you see, different people with different objectives and life goals. Do not act based on another person's opinion.

Thanks I appreciate your advice....but don't you think we have people who waited to be successful before marriage but later in life lost everything and became poor with their family.
while I know some people who have nothing or let me say a little and later in life became successful financially and things change for good.

Everyone's defination of success is different. I think you mistook my defination of feat for monetary success but nevertheless, you are not entirely wrong as money is also involved. There are people who waited and lost and there are people who waited and have no regrets. Everyone is entitled to a compulsory allocation of badluck in this life, but how you choose to respond to it matters alot. I cannot say I will stop flying ethopian air because of the plane crash that happened recently and so it is with setting finanicial goals. That some people waited for financial success and regretted does not mean others regretted as well. Have your plans and follow them through. Things have not always worked as forcasted for me for instance, but i try to adjust to the ever changing circumstances.

Do not let my suggestion deter you from marrying if you wish to. What i am trying to say in summary is that make sure:
1. You have plans.
2. You know what marriage is all about and what a woman desires.once you marry, unforseen responsibilities e.g. from extended families will come. Make sure in your plans, you create provision for such uncertainties.
3. You are prepared to not give your child mediocre education. The competition is so fierce that even the best find it difficult. I know from experience.
4. Your career and financial plans are mutually compatible with your future marriage and family.

To be brutally honest, yes, yes, Go for it. You have a stable source of income so why waste your own time. You're very matured to proceed thither. I am just about your age and I am also getting married this year, even though I don't really have much, so you're not alone. It makes no sense, imo, postponing getting married in the quest to "save up extravagantly" for the sunny day --- you see men in their late 30s and 40s paying kindergarten school fees. Madness, haha, man, that's bullshit! No time, Ogbeni, wife this woman sharperly, abegi, look to God, trust him for provision, and then see how God blesses you with what you need extravagantly.

Edit: And besides, who has bewitched fellows? Why do folks think that an opulent fellow cannot go insolvent, even with good financial acumen for reasons beyond his control, yes, even after saving up for the so-called sunny day?
