Lol... Naces is an association of Evaluation agencies which WES is one of them.

A2Z Evaluations, LLC.
Academic Evaluation Services, Inc.
Center for Applied Research, Evaluations, & Education, Inc.
Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.
Educational Perspectives, nfp.
Educational Records Evaluation Service, Inc.
Evaluation Service, Inc.
Foreign Academic Credential Service,

They are all evaluation agencies and member of Naces. Most ot them are cheaper than WES but WES is more reliable and acceptable. Better you go for WEs than other Bodies. ECE is another reliable one but not as reliable as WES

Hello guys, in a bad situation right now. Basically i’m in Canada right now, have been in Canada since September 2017 studying. I had previously considered going to the Usa for study when i got denied at first for my application to Canada. During that process I considered USA. I paid an agent to help with an admission. To cut the story short, i went for an interview for USA visit visa here in Canada, i was denied, the visa officer kept emphasizing about the school I previously applied to in the USA asking if i paid my agent and why didn’t i go to the school. Was denied based on the section 214(b) guys please what do you think. I feel the agent must have paid for my usa admission using a fradulent card. Please guys your intake.

Definitely, you can. Toxicology is under the pharmaceutical sciences, so there shouldn't be a problem as the switch is within the same discipline.

Please what should I do in this case ? This couses are lab courses. I don’t know what to do . And UTHSCSA said they can’t grant me an I-20 to come and do the couses prior to the beginning of classes . Somebody help!

The consular specifically ask if you paid an agent and why didn't you to go the school? That you have been refused does not mean you cannot get it. Were tuition deposit required or made to the previous school? Which school is this and what is the name of the new school? Also, do say something about your profile so that those who might have an idea on the forum can further help you.

Goodluck.

All the other agencies are nice. If you have seen the transcript they evaluate, you will see that WES offers nothing special. GCE, for example uses the same standard and evaluation route that WES uses, and they don't waste time waiting for your school to verify the transcript before they evaluate. As long as the document is from the school, sealed, stamp and well printed, they begin the evaluation immediately. I have used this agency on different occasions and I was pleased with their services. But WES is cool, too.

There is no new school involved in this. I’m presently on a student visa in Canada, studying as well. Went with my confirmation of enrollment, transcript from my school here in Canada. The usa visa consular asked me if i had previously applied to schools in the usa which i said yes. She further asked who did the application for me which i said an agent and specifically asked if i paid the agent which i said yes. She asked the name of the school i told her. She paused for a minute or thereabout and said unfortunately we can not issue you a visa right now because you don’t meet the requirements based on section 214(b).

It is very simple. You may get funding such as scholarship or GA, but these are often offered based on strong academic profile, which usually includes good GRE score, and your GPA. I will advice you do the search.

Decide an MS you'd like to do, then use this search string..."Highly affordable Masters in (program name) in the US". Then look at the first 10-15 pages that pops up. Visit them and explore the list of schools you see. Always make sure you see check the tuition and fee of every school before you apply there.

And which type of lawyer are you? grin grin
Goodluck.
Annie26:
Good evening all

Specially one that will help me with funding.
I am currently a lawyer in Nigeria and my undergraduate degree is from the UK. Please can anyone help me out. I need help.

Hello guys. My younger sister wrote the old SAT in January 2016 but didn't use it. She wants to apply for an undergraduate degree in the U.S now and I'm curious as to if she can still use that SAT result. I read it online that it's valid for 5 years but I need to know if the universities really practice this.

You are to be blamed for the refusal. However, try apply again and the visa maybe granted. Do you still have admission from the school?

lol. You can't single out marital status as reason for denial. There are many single students in their 30s who got their visas. You can't be so sure the consular was impressed. She/he may be noding in agreement and still not be impressed at all. Why not tell your friend to come here and post the interview transcripts?
adeshna:
A friend 28 went for visa interview, consular was impressed by all his answers and all. But he was asked, has he married? No. He was rejected.

32 years old for undergraduate is 100% assured refusal. He should not even try it! Why not go for MS?
adeshna:

What do you see for a 32 year old applying for undergraduate program. Will he get visa if he gets admission? Is the age not a barrier?

I had 3rd class and most schools don't accept my CGPA. I did PGD and did well, but most schools only accept first degree. They said using the PGD is a maybe. Not certain it can be considered.

Thanks

Try the PGD transcript. It is the most current and you will back the first degree with that. In my mind's eyes, I even see you being accepted. When did you finish your first degree and when did you complete the PGD?

Yes they are but the reason I chose WES ahead of others is because WES is more acceptable. While some schools will require an evaluated Naces Transcript, some others will boldly write that they want it evaluated by WES

Research the schools that fits your profile on Google and look at their requirements whether you will need to write some standardized tests like gmat or Gre, Toefl(maybe)...Provide Unofficial transcript, letter of recommendations, just look for answers on google and come back to ask any specific thing you don't understand 'after' your research on google
