Please house is there anything like a grade point average for WAEC? I was asked by Unibremen to put in a grade point average for WAEC (this came under the section for my University Entrance qualification) and it is compulsory . Though they said it's just for statiscal purpose and it won't affect my application process.

Thanks....

Greetings everyone,

This important information...
And please when you get your SL, before the sponsor sends the original by post mail, always request for the softcopy and check that your details (Full name, passport number, date of birth, purpose of stay in Germany) is correct.

TCHUSS!
It's a real eye opener. Thanks for this @immafrank. Is there anything you can say about SL with respect to Dortmund? I'd be glad.

Some of us don't know how to quote posts from others to avoid elongating the thread without much content.

To quote a long post, you can simply select the first sentence/paragraph or the paragraph of your interest and delete the rest. By that way, you will reduce the wasted space in the thread. This is why we are already in page 61 without much content.

NB: you can learn how to search information on nairaland (or particularly this thread) by checking my post on https://www.nairaland.com/3052025/general-german-visa-enquiries-part/408#57234546

Seems like you are into the GEO world, anyway if you are interested in such program, I will also suggest you check out the following programs.

If you are interested in remote sensing, check out KIT and university of wurzburg,

If you are for geoinformatics, check out university of muenster and hft Stuttgart

If you are for geoinformatics and geodesy, check out Leibniz universitat hannover and TU Berlin

If you are interested in hydrography, check out hafencity university, Hamburg

Then if you are interested in all these areas of specializations in one program and you be Oliver Twist like us, then come to University of applied sciences Karlsruhe for geomatics.
Sup bro. How geomatics for Karlsruhe

Those of you that have up-to 2 months or less before your deadline, no need wasting your money on Courier companies. Nipost takes two weeks to deliver your documents and it costs about 1000 -1500. I noticed some of you that are applying for schools who have not even opened their application portal is spending on courier services.

thanks for your info. I want to kindly ask if it's advisable to apply to schools that require IELTS or TOEFL using your letter of English as a medium of instruction
For those waiting for testimony, your own will surely come. Mine is already here.

I started my research in part 5, applied for admission in part 5, funded my BA and got my AM all in part 5 of this thread. In a few days from now, I will be leaving for Germany.

The journey has not been easy. I remember when I was racking my head looking for schools that would offer me admission because my CGPA is really low(2.46 Nigerian scale, 2.9 German scale).

Am yet to enroll, aiming for winter semester. I already have admissions for msc geomatics at the University or Applied Science Karlsruhe, which incidentally happens to be my first choice.

Incidentally most of the wonderful programs for geo related courses are on Baden wurttemberg which requires a payment of €1500 per semester for tuition. This of course is the downside. But in all, it's cool nevertheless.

Coping with the payment is not quite funny more especially when others are flexing no tuition, but it's quite feasible if adequately planned. It's not like I have all the money to pay for it, but from what I learnt it's very much possible

thanks for sharing this info, was just thinking about it, am applying to uni Mannheim for backing up, MA political science, that state is cool, their universities offer lots of broad programs in English, wonder if that's part of the reason they reintroduce fees!!

If they require IELTS or TOEFL, what are you sending them a letter for?

You can email the school and ask, though. They will respond, and many people have tried this. My opinion is to adhere to their every instruction. You can also visit the FAQ page of their website. They usually answer this question there.

Am yet to enroll anyway, but from what I learnt, it's lovely with lots of good courses. Their program is designed to prepare you for the industry immediately after graduation. But you have to put in some great deal of efforts if you really want to grab something.

They have very nice professors who are willing to put you through as long as you are willing to learn. And they even go as far as linking you to good student job offers if you so desire. But like I earlier said, you need to put in some efforts.

Examinations is not a joking matter here. If you are not prepared for it, just skip it. But you have one hour to finish whatsoever you need to do, mostly ten questions.
