Sure you right.I am looking for other opinions.
Some info can be more trendy and I can get contributions from peeps studying there on this thread, you never know.It is good to be open to options...
Definitely it is Mississippi State University, it is R1 while Texas A&M Kingsville is R2. But based on location, Kingsville might be better for Coop/internship. Also, your course will play a role. Just know what you want, prepare and go for it.

thank you sir.
God bless you abundantly.
I was under tension, upon all my numerous practice and advice I gave myself before the Interview. am so disappointed at myself right now

You don't need to be dissapointed, sorry for the delay. I was denied visa on 31st of December 2018 and my school resume and lecture start on January 14, I reschedule another visa interview after the December denial and I got January 14 which my visa was approved. Don't be in a rush now because you have more time to build your confidence.

All you need us to be outspoken and also put your best points first when answering questions. I am open to help you with mock interview anytime from May 5 if it is not too far for you.

My 5% advice.

Hello guys, in a bad situation right now. Basically i’m in Canada right now, have been in Canada since September 2017 studying. I had previously considered going to the Usa for study when i got denied at first for my application to Canada. During that process I considered USA. I paid an agent to help with an admission. To cut the story short, i went for an interview for USA visit visa here in Canada, i was denied, the visa officer kept emphasizing about the school I previously applied to in the USA asking if i paid my agent and why didn’t i go to the school. Was denied based on the section 214(b) guys please what do you think. I feel the agent must have paid for my usa admission using a fradulent card. Please guys your intake.

I think you should have explain better that you accept the Canada school instead of the US and you just want to visit US.

Hello! I have a BSC (Computer Science) here in Nigeria, but due to poor facilities in our universities and poor practical approach, I am not satisfied with the knowledge I gained during my undergraduate studies. Therefore, I want to start afresh by going through a community college in the United States because I want to be expert in my field. My question is, I want to study Cyber Security in a US college and I already have a BSC (Computer Science) which is obviously related to the course I am going for. I have a strong feeling that this will raise questions at the embassy! So please, how do I convince the consular. And again will it be advisable for me to just ignore my undergraduate degree during my application? again my age will be another factor that has to be considered if my degree is ignored. Please I need a concrete advise.

You are not saying the truth. Simply say you want to escape grin.

If you are not satisfied with the knowledge you gained, why not do masters and become a master in your field? Why community college after bsc?

In as much as you really do have a point, I would say you do not conclude that he just wants to japa. I am currently a CS student in a federal university in the country and I can say, indeed computer science in the country has suffered. However it has not deterred people from doing whatever they can to better themselves.

The person who asked the question might quite be oblivious of the fact that he can actually learn more from his masters and feel the best route would be to go start again. I was interacting with someone the other day and she was preparing for "SAT". I asked her why she was trying to go for undergraduate studies again and she said no, it is for masters. I had to start explaining things from scratch. We have this thread and should consider ourselves lucky.

The man in particular might not be really after the japa levels but might just be willing and really wondering how to better himself but with the thought that he has to start again. I have seen answers of foreign CS students and professors on quora and it seems like I've been wasting my life studying a 5 year course, who knows, he might have felt the same.

On another level, he might actually have the sole aim of "japaing" cheesy

First off, you didn't specify an age range. Going for an undergraduate degree in the same course raises a lot of questions, why not just go for an MSC and get the exposure you can, at least, you'd do more practical stuffs as you wish to and probably even teach some of these courses as a graduate assistant hence forcing you to revisit these topics.

You're thinking of going for an undergraduate degree but want to do community college? Lol, I think you need to actually do your research or read the thread before you ask the next series of questions.
Goodluck!

Guys I cannot find my old passport that expired in 2018. I have a new one though that I have used to visit uk, sa and kenya which I got in 2018 as well. In filling the DS 160 I was asked if I have a missing passport I said yes. It this a red flag. How can I handle this? Anyone been in this situation before
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by fairheart(m): 11:56am On Mar 17, 2019
Present the case as it is. If you cannot find it, then it is to be accepted as a "lost passport". That you have lost a passport before should not influence the visa outcome. Get yourself ready for the interview, and don't worry about the passport.

Good luck

Very poor interview. You certainly did not prepare for what was to come.
Consular probably think, "well, someone in the UK doing phd recommended a school in the US. You probably should have gone to the UK instead for your studies."
When you prepare your response to interview questions, always have in mind of the possible impression your word may convey. I am sorry, but I think you should relax, prepare and go back. In addition, were you offered scholarship? I noticed that having scholarship on i-20 increases your chance. If your school have scholarship or GA position, kindly check and apply.

I wish you the best whenever you go back for another interview.

NOTE: CSU is waiving the $40 application fee on March 17, 2019, for new graduate applicants. For the Viking Application, select “pay by mail” to submit.

You do not have to complete the entire application on March 17th to get the waiver. You can submit transcripts and/or test scores at a later date.

A little research won't hurt you. However, CSU= Cleveland State University.

For today Sunday alone?

I applied for the same viking application on February 14th but they're yet to waive the fee on my profile. I've sent an email to the treasury and admissions Office but yet to get response.

Sometimes it not so clear hence it best to state the full name . I can tell you up to 10 schools that could be CSU grin

California State University, Colorado State University
, Chicago State University, Connecticut State University,
Columbia Southern University , Central State University (Ohio) , California South University etc . So even in Ohio there are two CSU

Well, I would say there are many CSU so the question that person asked is still on track. Csu also mean Colorado state University, Chicago state University, California state University. Infact Cleveland SU is known as CSUohio. Please try answer some questions without castigating

He could easily use 'CSU' and 'viking application' as search criteria to arrive at his answer.

That's not illustrative enough. A viking ID is only generated after applying to the University. A normal human reasoning will hit the Internet with CSU which will eventually list many CSU universities. Searching Viking Application will open CSUohio page for ID(viking) card application

Even though it might come to a point when technology can make us do things very easy, I still prefer doing things the old-school way in order to be on the safe side. It doesn't hurt to spend a few hundreds of naira to scan your transcripts through a scanner. I have used a picture (taken with a clear phone camera) of a document as a replacement for a scanned copy and it worked fine. However, a scanned copy is always the best option.

So why are you using a phone scanner? Is today your submission deadline and you suddenly realized you don't have your documents ready? Or better stated, did you procrastinate the scanning until the deadline, which is today?

My 5% advice.

Financial aid (aka funding) is NEVER a criterion for getting a student visa to the US. However, it increases your chances since it makes the VO believe you are a genuine and talented student (even though it might not always be the case). Being a genuine and talented student increases your chances of getting the visa and since the VO can judge that based on your financial aid, it improves your chances. I have seen some people with full aid getting denied but the chances are very very slim - probably 1-5 in every 100 cases (just a rough estimate based on a small sample).

However, if you do not have financial aid, you will have to prove to the VO that you are a genuine and talented student. One way to prove this is by getting admitted to a top and selective school. However, if you don't have that, you can still get the visa but you have to prep very very hard for the interview.
