Ondo state has fewer industries and it has its oil offshore and its bitumen belongs to the federal ,so the state government is not able to explore it

My friend I an asking you why is Lagos not like Lagos since its close to the sea too.

Is the closeness to the sea not the reason you gave for Lagos revenue? Why are the companies not in Ondo at the moment even though it is also close to the sea? I want you to keep fooling yourself, you are magical in foolery I am enjoying it go on.

companies pay corporate taxes
Who asked you what companies pay and don't pay?
I am asking you about Ondo that is close to the ocean, I am not even gonna talk about Calabar, Delta and Rivers. Let us talk Ondo first, why is is not in anyway close to Lagos in state revenue since its also close to the sea??

Which elections Which businesses

Pigiyeasternr is daydreaming.

Your father must be one of those who went to pay homage to Oluomo some days ago... grin

Slave!

Igbos have won elections in Lagos and denying it has even shown you are not from Lagos, you are one of those lowlife slaves that just migrated from their villages in Osun to come make noise in Lagos.

Jagaban subject. grin

This is the same Question you have to answer, why do Rivers have onnel port and yet Lagos had such revenue and Rivers doesn't?

Nigerians/Africans for you...

I was just watching Kaaki Social on AIT....Abuja the capital of the largest economy in Africa, the capital of the an Oil producing country does not have light....Abuja is in darkness. I shame!!

All these generated and used for what?? Tell me one thing as a Nation we can pride ourselves with. Toothpick we can't produce, pencil we can't produce, light no way, Refinery almost nonfunctional.

Let us keep deceiving ourselves while some small group of people feed on our national cake.

Nigeria and Africa as a whole is just something else.

Tell me one African/Black country without Whites that's developed and are managing the resources and wealth judiciously.

You have asked a good question I asked myself everytime what is that thing to be proud of as a Nigerian?

I dont think this call for celebration but rather an important question. What has been done with the so called IGR? Most towns and even villages in some of those developed countries are 1000 of miles are of Abuja and Lagos. I mean Villages oooooo and I am not trying to exaggerate. A white guy said something on a thread, "give a white people a brink and they will turn it into city and give black people a city and they will turn it into ashes". This sounds racist but there is element of truth in it. Look at South Africa, I mean do you think they will be like that if not for the long white rule. We have to admit it that they have proven to be better planner than we are and that does not mean they are above us or something. But that must be admitted!!!

Our problem is that we too emotional driven and wail to everything even if it is a fact. Look at when Trump said Africa is a sh*thole and everybody was just wailing. Let us be sincere is Africa not a shithole

Onne port is functioning and servicing oil and gas and machineries used.so they have companies

Didn't your brothers come up with their own version of the topic which was a dismal failure despite resorting to listing random pictures and more or less 2 by 2 shops as businesses

You remain slaves both in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole... grin[/s]

Nnamdi Kanu knows better... grin

Hahahahaha my mugu. Igbos are not on Nairaland, they are busy with making their billions and do not have time to gossip and trade words online, its an Afonja thing cos you people have time to lazy around. Igbos came back with a full grind after the war and were still able to come out tops despite all odds, how do you think they are able to achieve all that if they were not working hard? of course it wouldnt have been possible if they were as lazy as the average Yoruba smelly coward naa.

You will Always be the Almajiris from Southern part of Nigeria, check it out for yourself.

Simple logic,it has fewer companies,no free trade area and no developed port

Access to the sea and land boder helps trade in Lagos,it has been a commercial since precolonial days .

Because the ships are not coming and they have competition near them, douala port competes and takes market share from them

Two ports in Lagos ,apapa port built by the British and tincan port developed by the government, all ports belongs to the Western Nigerian government and not Nigeria

As blacks I don't know where we went wrong....I would have said just Africa but nah, the blacks outside Africa are the same.....its very rare to see a Black man invent something....That's why when a Black man does eventually invents something it is big news. In the same country(outside Africa) where blacks and whites live, whites are creating and inventing things up and down, what do majority of the blacks do?? Rap music and sports.

I don't know where we got it wrong...I know for a fact that God did not make the white man special. We are all equal but somehow the black race found a way to relegate itself to the back of the line.

Africa possess most of the worlds resources....but just take a look at Africa.

Nigeria after decades of oil production is still a shithole.....a select few feed on what's meant for the entire population. An Oil producing nation with no functional refinery. While the likes of UAE used their oil to turn the country into a tourist centre, we are here fooling around.

Pencil we can't make, when China is doing 5G surgery.
We can't produce constant light but we waste(flare) gas, while others are celebrating decades of constant light.

There is no field Africans excel. We are light years behind and it breaks my heart.

I don't know where we got it wrong....I don't even know if things can change....if they can, how?? What can we do?? I want to be part of the process by the Grace of God.

It is heartbreaking honestly.

There is nothing like that my friend. Douala port has nothing to do with ports in River State.
The actual problem is Lagos ports, remember the time Obasanjo sealed Rivers and Calabar ports to ensure there is traffic in Lagos ports..

Now enough of this back and forth , i see you know the truth but decide to live in denial because for you its either you give the credit to Yorubas or no one takes it, but you cant rewrite history about Lagos no matter how you try.

Lagos ports was built by the federal Government as the poet that would serve Nigeria as its major seaport.
Who would have thought that a particular tribe today would be laying claim of owning Lagos based on the fact that it was developed with the Federal Government money as it was Nigeria's longest serving capital today. All you have been saying is just an act of being clever by half, we all know the heavy presence of the federal government in Lagos which attracted every citizen to the state cos a capital of a nation is the "bride and pride" of that nation likewise the land of opportunity for its citizens.

Lagos has always had the best "international airport" (federal project), best international seaports (federal project), companies which as a result of its "Nigerian capital" status that made infrastructures to solidly resonate in the place more than any other state and made it attractive for people to come and establish.

Stop lying Afonja. Awolowo collected nothing. He only participated in the regional government but that was just about it, his main focus was Oyo Ibadan and never Lagos, not until when Lagos became the capital of Nigeria that was when the ports got its boost cos others were shut down in other States for the one in the capital state to blossom.
