Given the discount of a more than fair enough margin of inherent risk(including a possible deterioration/downside in asset quality from the acquisition of diamond) and at the back of an assumed zero growth in the near term, I have a FV estimate of N11.90.
...and quite frankly, this is me been cautiously optimistic with estimated figures in ACCESS' 2018 FY print.

But then again, the market will have to determine and champion things from here.

NOTE: Just a guide, NOT A RECOMMENDATION.
My advise; Pls follow ur instinct.
Take away those risk factors and fair value should be 25

Those that entered yesterday will make some money in the short run.Lets see what the future have for the stock.

Always watch the indices behaviour. This should be the key to your success.Any stock that is undervalued and receives patronage when the indices is down will be the first to rise when theire is a sudden reversal. This has helped me several times in this market.

Hmmm plenty never know 123 in stock market o.

To help small,if you sell now,you will get this year dividend.

There is what is called qualification, mark down and payment dates.Try to study them to know when to buy, sell and hold.

Truely, you have a long way to go and need to consult an advicer.

The shareholders of Access Bank have been seriously cheated.
onegentleguy:
Unconfirmed report reaching me from some strong source has it that following from the court sanction of the ACCESS-DIAMOND BANK merger today, the shareholders of DIAMOND who hitherto are QUALIFIED for the 7 for 2 equivalent share allotment in the enlarged entity shall also be eligible for the 25k FY 2018 dividend declaration by ACCESS bank.

Again, this lends credence to my several ealier assertions and analysis that the then shareholders of DIAMOND are the biggest winners of this merger.
On the flip side, this will only aid with pushing further up the price of ACCESS as the DIAMOND shareholders who qualify now have something to make them 'wait/hold a bit longer' without selling off their stake in the new enlarged bank(ACCESS) post merger.
...ACCESS closed on massive bid @ N6.50 today.
Like I always said then, Mr DIAMOND wins pre merger, while Mr ACCESS 'resurrects'(to win) post merger.
There is a mutual exclusivity with the terms of the merger.

It is well !!

Please house kindly advise me on what to do
I have 2 stockbroking accounts; I use 1 of the accounts to buy my Zenith Bank shares and did an e-dividend mandate on that account but I recently used the 2nd one without a mandate to buy new shares of Zenith because the customer services rep said since I already have an existing mandate I would still get my dividends. She said Veritas already have my name in their register but now I am yet to receive my dividends
Do I need a mandate for the 2nd account with the other broker or is there a way to merge 2 accounts?

Ask the registrar to confirm the total units of shares you have with them....if it tallies with what you have(in both 2 accounts).....then u don't need to mandate the second account....

The shareholders of Access Bank have been seriously cheated.

I believe Access Bank is enticing former Diamond Bank shareholders so that they won't embark on massive offloading of shares once listed/converted. They might succeed at the end of the day.

Let's not be too carried away with this Access/diamond merger ooooo.

Access is very wise. From my calculation, all they are working towards is the initial 3.13 they promised diamond shareholders, the extra 1naira inclusive.
I may be wrong but here is my calculation:
Price of Access as at today 20/03/2019 = 6.50
Price of Diamond as at cob xtyday = 2.45
6.50 X 2 = 13naira
DMD: 2.45 x 7 = 17.15naira.
Actual unit price of DMD in terms of Access = 13÷7 = 1.86
Now DMD shareholders share conversion = 1.86 + 1 + 0.25 = 3.11 ~ approximately 3.13.

I already said I may be wrong oooo, make Una no too bash me. grin grin

In all these, Access shareholders stands to gain in the long run....for those who endure the "trial period".
I only pity those who rushed out at loss. Must have been quite many. Access didn't try in that aspect. undecided

Let me come and be going....... grin

The Bureau of Public Enterprises has received financial and technical bids from five firms who are interested in purchasing the 51 percent stakes in Afam Power Plc and Yola Electricity Distribution Company.

According to the Head of Public Communications at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Amina Othman, the bids were received from the prospective core-investors last week Friday, March 15, 2019, which was also the deadline for submission of bids.

One of the bidders pulled out: However, one of the bidding companies, Sandstream Nigeria, who offered to buy a stake in Yola Electricity Distribution Company, withdrew its bid after the company the company failed to include a bank guarantee in its proposal.
Bua group

“A total of five bids were received by the BPE on Friday, March 15, 2019 – being the deadline for the submission of technical and financial proposals for the acquisition of the Yola Electricity Distribution Company and Afam Electricity Generation Company (Afam Power Plc & Afam Three Fast Power Limited) by prospective core-investors.

“Two firms – Quest Electricity Nigeria Limited and Sandstream Nigeria – submitted proposals to acquire the Yola Disco while DiamondStripes Consortium, Unicorn Power Generation Consortium and Transcorp Power, sought to acquire the Afam Genco.

“Sandstream submission was, however, found to be non-responsive as it failed to include a bank guarantee in line with the requirements in the Requests for Proposal.

“Accordingly, the representative of the firm took the bid back.”

A quick thought on this;
Could it be that the reason TRANSCORP PLC had cut back on its dividend declaration for FY 2018 by a whooping 100% from 6k(in FY 2017) to 3k now, is to have more cashflow to fund project transactions like these?
...maybe, just maybe the current stakeholders in this coy might get back much more dividends via cap appreciation in the short to mid term. Either way, all I know is that this coy shall live to be one of the best performing stocks this year !!
I like the things I see in the coys financial print. ...particularly in the last 3 quarters.

Good times are indeed ahead of us.

CAVEAT: Just a mere thought process. ...NOT a recommendation.
