MSCI Nigeria on 20 March 2019 did nothing. Market for now is like a trap, one need not be aggressive in buying. Although we know that more value will come to the market soon, but currently values traded are low.

I was trying to see if there is a way, I can pick a stock to buy and not need to suffer a loss at all, that is buy and forget. Alas, I realized that doing this buy and forget thing will be a good recipe for disaster. The good companies of those days are now history. Can you imagine that at one point in time, RT Bricoe used to be one of the biggest companies in Nigeria (I was told by somebody older than me). It will be unbelievable to anybody today, they may even as ask, which company is "RT Briscoe", such is life. Buy and hold as a strategy is becoming old school!!!

Access is very wise. From my calculation, all they are working towards is the initial 3.13 they promised diamond shareholders, the extra 1naira inclusive.
I may be wrong but here is my calculation:
Price of Access as at today 20/03/2019 = 6.50
Price of Diamond as at cob xtyday = 2.45
6.50 X 2 = 13naira
DMD: 2.45 x 7 = 17.15naira.
Actual unit price of DMD in terms of Access = 13÷7 = 1.86
Now DMD shareholders share conversion = 1.86 + 1 + 0.25 = 3.11 ~ approximately 3.13.

The same source also says that Mtn Nig is near done with its preparation to list on the exchange.
It says the expectation is that there'll be 4-5 new listing from multinationals/company's this year.

Hopefully, the listing of these Telco multinationals and more will help expand and boost our market by bringing the much needed liquidity.

Personally, I won't even touch Access Bank now until I see their results for 2 quarters. The baggage they are bringing from Diamond bank needs to be clearly understood and illuminated. Things will never be the same for the bank. It may likely break Access bank. But, if they navigate it properly, could mean a big win.
I still remember Skye bank. Things were never the same.
