Chapter 15 Trevor The following day at school, he walked into the music Hall with his eyes darting from one point to the other. It was empty. "What the Bleep?" Trevor thought to himself. Bruce had sent him a text earlier to meet at the music hall. Trevor probably figured Bruce wanted to give him the money since he had agreed to the bet. Trevor's mouth suddenly went bitter when he remembered the way Bruce snickered over the phone after he gave in to the bet. The sound of victory in Bruce's voice was unmistakable. After Trevor had dropped the Phone that night, he fought back the urge to pick it up again and tell Bruce that it was only a joke. He wanted to tell Bruce that he was only kidding, but then Lisa's teary eyes flashed in his head. "Bleep," Trevor growled at himself as he drove his fingers through his blonde her. What the hell was he doing? He had just agreed to pretend to fall in love with a gay guy. "Yo! Trev!" Aaron's voice made Trevor turn to the hall entrance quickly. Aaron, Caleb, Nadia and Bruce were walking into the hall and laughing hysterically at a joke one of them had probably cracked. Trevor noticed Bruce had his arms over someone's should as he walked in. It was a girl and it wasn't Megan. It wasn't until the had gotten quite close that he finally recognised her. The straight black hair. The long pretty face and those full lips. It was the girl Bruce was flirting with at the cafeteria the day he suggested the bet. He was flirting with her a few days ago and now here he was, smiling stupidly with his arms over her shoulder like she was his girlfriend or something. Does this girl even know Bruce has a girlfriend? Bruce is a my friend, but he is also a pig. "Trev my man!" Bruce yelled with a mischievous grin on his face as he reached forward and patted Trevor on the shoulder. His eyes stayed on Trevor's before he moved to the girl and waved his hands to her as well. "This is Tiffany," the sound of pride in Bruce's voice made Trevor want to push him away. The girl shifted her eyes and scanned Trevor. She looked shy, almost as if she was avoiding his eyes. "Hey," she said with a shy smile and a quick wave before she turned away quickly. "Tiff, this is my boy Trevor," Bruce announced with repeated pats on Trevor's shoulders. "We've been friends since elementary school." Bruce then looked back to Trevor and smiled. "That's why I know him too well. Even more than he knows himself." Trevor looked into Bruce's eyes and felt a chill roll down his spine when he realised there may be a deeper meaning to what his friend was saying. "Bruce," Trevor feigned a calm sigh. "Are you giving me the money or not?" "Well yeah," Bruce replied. "..but there's one more thing." "What?" Trevor warned. Nadia and Aaron snickered while Caleb just stood there in amused with his hands in the pocket of his jacket. "No biggie man," Bruce uttered as he beckoned for Nadia. "Just a video." "A what?" Trevor spat as he darted his wide eyes from Bruce to Nadia who was pulling her phone from her pocket with a dirty grin on her face. "There was no video in our agreement Bruce," Trevor his through his teeth. "Well," Bruce smiled and turned away from Nadia to face him. "There is now." "Oh God," Trevor groaned before turning away and rubbing his temples. "Dude relax," Bruce walked up to him. "Look, all we want to do is just shoot a video of you ditching the gay." "Yeah," Aaron added not too far behind. "We'll play it on the big screen during Prom." "What?" Caleb shut his wide eyes to Aaron and then to Bruce. "That's - that's not fair." Nadia scowled at him. "Excuse me?" "You can not pretend to like someone and then humiliate them in a video infront of the whole school." Caleb yelled. "That's bad. That's...that's evil." "Oh yeah?" Bruce smiled...Well he'll get over it." "How can you say that?" Caleb's face was red now as he moved closer Bruce and Trevor. "He's a human being. You can't do this." "He's a fucking gay!" Bruce fired. "He deserves anything we do to him." Caleb recoiled slightly at Bruce's remark, before he turned to face Trevor. "Dude," Caleb's voice was low and calm. "You're not gonna do this, are you?" Trevor looked into Caleb's sad blue eyes that seemed to beg him. Trevor turned to Bruce who still had his eyes on Caleb. Trevor's mind then travelled to Lisa again. "Sorry man," the words fell out of his mouth with a shrug. Caleb's shoulders dropped immediately. His jaws clenched and those pleading blue eyes of his had turned into dark glares fixed on Trevor. He looked over at Bruce, then turned to Nadia and Aaron . "You guys are crazy," Caleb hissed through his teeth as he began to back away towards the hall entrance. "You guys are sick." "Yeah yeah," Bruce flipped him off. "Just get the Bleep out Caleb. " Caleb stopped again. It was almost as if the words that came out of Bruce's mouth had shocked him, but he didn't want to show it. Trevor the felt his stomach flip when he saw the disappointment in Caleb's eyes as he stared at him. Trevor couldn't believe the fact that he could not even look up at Caleb anymore. Instead, he looked to the floor beneath him. Caleb then turned and walked out of the music hall without even looking back. "Bye." Nadia called after him before she and Aaron laughed. Trevor looked up and saw that Caleb was gone. He looked over at Tiffany who had been standing there; speechless. Her nervous eyes darting between he and Bruce. "Okay," Bruce clapped his hands together. "Let's do this shit." Nadia then positioned her phone to start recording and Trevor immediately felt his stomach flip. "What..what do I say?" He tried to hide his shaking voice. "Just be mean as Bleep," Aaron smiled as he sat on one of the desks. "Remember, this dude is a jerk." Trevor knew that. Hell, he hated Lance Tiffin so much, the though of him crying made him smile a little, but what could he possibly say that would make him break ? "Remember," Bruce finally added. "This dude's been saying shit about Lisa." Trevor spun to face Bruce immediately. He wanted to take a swing at him when he said that. Trevor felt the bile rise in his throat as his mind then went to the fight and the football field and the fight at the school parking lot. He suddenly realised what Bruce was doing. He was trying to piss him off, and my God it was working. "No one talks shit about Lisa," Bruce added with a mischievous smirk and that was it. Trevor glared at Nadia's phone. "Let's do this." He growled. Bruce suddenly began to pay his shoulders again. "My man." "Okay.." Nadia announced, before she pressed the the record button. "Go!" Nadia gave the signal and Trevor suddenly started saying things he never thought he would be saying in his life. He said things that surprised him. He said things he had never said to anyone before. Things that were bad enough to make Bruce's eyes widen and when he was done, his friends clapped for him. He looked over at Tiffany. She wasn't even smiling, rather, she had this confusing expression in her eyes. An expression Trevor couldn't make out. He couldn't tell if the look on Tiffany's face was fear or disgust. |

Chapter 16 Trevor Trevor On the evening of the same day, Trevor had invited Lisa over to his house. He couldn't go over to hers, not since the night her dad almost caught him have sex with his daughter. She was very reluctant to show up, but he knew she wouldn't refuse when he told her he had a surprise for her. They were both in Trevor's room now. Lisa's brows furrowed in confusion when Trevor lifted the large purple box to her with a somewhat shy smile on his face. When she saw the inscription "Hemmings", looked up at Trevor. She was still confused. "Here," he said, as he handed the box to her; still smiling. "Open it." Lisa darted her confused eyes from the box up to her boyfriend, before she placed it on his bed. She pulled out the clips and lifted the cardboard top of the box. Lisa's eyes immediately went wide as she gave out a gasp. "Oh my god." Trevor felt his heart warm when he saw her wide eyes look up to his. Seeing her this happy was all the reward he wanted. The way her beautiful lips tugged in a smile. The way her eyes seemed to shine as she pulled the pink dress out of the box and pressed it against her chest. She looked up at Trevor and when he saw she had welling eyes, he couldn't take it anymore. He moved closer and hugged her. Trevor held Lisa like he had not hugged her for years. They pulled away from each other before she looked up at him again. "Thank you," she croaked. Trevor leaned in and kissed her forehead head before looking down at her with a warm smile. "Why don't you go try it on?" He asked. Lisa beamed before she pulled the entire dress from the box and was heading for the bathroom. "Where are you going?" Trevor asked with a confused smirk as he dropped to a sit on his bed. Lisa spun to him and waved to the bathroom door. "To try it on silly." Trevor chuckled. "I've seen you naked, Lisa." She gave him a mischievous smirk and replied. "So?" Trevor laughed and raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, fine." Lisa laughed and spun to head for the bathroom, but then, she stopped. She slowly spun to face her boyfriend. Trevor was a little worried when he saw that the smile on her face had disappeared. She turned and faced him completely ; confusion all over her features. There was something about the way she looked at him. She was already asking him the question with her eyes and that moment, he felt his heart rising to his throat. "Did you?" Lisa's voice was low and trembling. Trevor looked away from her looked to the floor below him. He did not need to ask what she meant. He knew exactly what she was asking and right now, there was awarded going on in his head. He could just lie to her right there and tell her he did not take the bet, or he could tell her the truth. Lisa was the last person on the planet that wanted him to take that bet. "Trevor." Her voice yanked him from his thoughts. He slowly raised his head and met her eyes. She didn't look confused anymore. Her eyes were boring into him now. She was glaring at him. "Did you take the bet?" Lisa asked. Trevor swallowed hard and opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out and at that moment, Lisa knew. Her face contorted into that of pain as she looked away and faced his closet as if it was all its fault. Trevor rubbed his temple before he looked up and opened his mouth to apologise but Lisa had envisaged his gesture and raised her hand to stop him immediately. She dropped the dress on his bed and looked at him. "I need to go home." Trevor shot himself up from the bed and reached for her arm. "Lisa, baby. Come on, ..I." "Just stop," she spat as she yanked herself from his grip and moved away. "Good night." Trevor stood there and watched his girlfriend walk out of his room and slam the door behind her. He then sat down on his bed, lost in thought. He looked at the open box and the dress laying on his bed before he sighed. This bet was already making his life a nightmare, and he hadn't even started. Lance He kept running as fast as he could down the lonely street, as the cold night air kept hitting his face. It was cold, but he was still sweating. His heart was pounding in his chest and the metallic taste of the blood streaming down from his nose hit his lips. His heart was pounding as fast as the footsteps that were running up behind him. "Hey Tiffin!" A boy's voice yelled from behind him. "Where are you going? Come on, we just want to talk!" Lance kept running as fast as his legs could carry him. He was hoping he would escape them after the game, but he was wrong. They were waiting for him. They had been waiting for him. Lance looked back and saw that they were now closer than they were before. They were gaining on him. "Help!" Lance screamed out at the top of his lungs. "Somebody help me!" He could hear the boys snickering and laughing behind him. "No one's going to save you gay!" one of them yelled. "Yeah!" another shouted. "You're dead!" "Leave me alone!" Lance cried as he kept running. He had never been this terrified of anything in his life. The thought of what they were going to do to him mortified him. He had been bashed before, but only on suspicion, but this time, they knew. They all knew, and they were probably going to kill him. An unexpected force rammed into Lance, knocking him to the ground in an instant. He hit his head on the tarred floor so hard, everything became a blur. He couldn't even concentrate on the pain. Before Lance knew what was happening, a thousand hands yanked at him and pulled him up. "Fucking gay!" Someone yelled before Lance felt the side of his face explode in white hot pain. He hit the ground again ; harder this time. That was when it started. Lance felt everything from boots ramming into his stomach and his face, to baseball bats hitting his arms and his back and warm saliva hitting his face. "Ple...Please!" was the only thing Lance heard himself utter. His vision was blurry and red. He could swear one of his arms were broken as he turned to his side and saw a tooth of his on the floor beside him. "Hey guys!" A boy yelled. "Wait! Stop!" Lance laid there, his entire body on fire. He was in agony. He had never felt pain like this before and he was sure he was going to die anytime soon, but then heard the boy yelling for them to stop and felt a pinch of hope tug at his heart. The mob gave way as a figure made its way through slowly. Lance could not see him. His eyes were too swollen and his vision was still blurry, but he did care, all he knew was the fact that whoever this was, he or she was his saviour. The figure got closer to Lance and stopped just before his feet; towering over him. Lance looked up and noticed the figure just standing there, staring at him; observing him. Lance then lifted his burning, bruised and bloodied hands towards his saviour; reaching for him desperately. "He..help me," Lance's voice was a trembling whisper as he reached for his saviour. "Ple..please." Instead, Lance saw the figure grab what looked like a Baseball bat from one of his attackers. The boy held the back, beating it into the palm of his other hand with a grin on his face. "I've got a better idea," the boy said. "Fuuuuuck!" Lance screamed as he shot himself to a sitting position on his bed. With his entire body moving up and down with every deep breath he took, he darted his eyes round and realised he was in his room. Beads of sweat ran down his face and back as he grabbed a hand full of his sheets to make sure it was all real. God. It was just the nightmares again. The nightmares he had been having since that day. The doctors said it would go away, but they were getting worse. Lance's heart was still beating fast, but it stopped for a second when he heard a knock on his room door. "Lance," his mother's voice from the other side was filled with worry. "Honey are you okay?" Lance didn't respond. "Is it the nightmares again?" Mrs Tiffin called. "Honey open the door." "I'm fine Mum!" Lance growled a reply. "Lance please don't do this." Mrs Tiffin was persistent. "You know what happened the last time you...." "I said I'm fine Mum!" He roared. "Now Bleep off!" Then, silence. He lifted his knees up to his chin and listened to his mother's footsteps and sobs as she walked away from his door. Lance placed his chin on his knees and focused on the moon glowing outside his window. He had always said he would not cry. He would never cry. Even though tears were beading down his cheeks at that moment, he would never cry. |

Chapter 17 Trevor The next day at school during break, Trevor took his tray of food from the counter and to move to his table. His table was at the far end of the hall, the point where he saw Bruce, Aaron and the girls laughing and talking to each other. As he kept walking down, he noticed a group of girls staring at him. They were eyeing him; flirting with him. Some of them even went as far as waving at him with shy smiles on thier faces, and when he waved back, they just gave out quiet and shocking gasps before turning to thier friends and giggling like the silly teenage girls that they were. Trevor had gotten used to things like these. He was Trevor Bowman, a member of what the Kentworth fan girls called 'The Hunk four." A group made up of the four most gorgeous guys in school; Trevor, Bruce, Aaron and Caleb. Some other girls called them 'The Four Princes'. Kentworth girls did all they could to get themselves to date them while the slurry ones did all they could to get in bed with them. Trevor was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw Lance Tiffin sitting alone at a table as usual. His tray of food and a book were on the table right infront of him. He was wearing a leather jacket, black skinny jeans and black all star sneakers with his black curls peeking from under the grey beanie that he wore on his head. Trevor kept his eyes on him as he walked by; the bile rising in his throat as he realised he was going to have to pretend to like that scumbag. God. What had he gotten himself into? How was he going to do this without killing this jackass? "Yo! Trev!" Aaron's voice made Trevor snap his head forward and he saw him wave over. "Come on man." Trevor hurried over to the table and dropped his tray. Nadia and Megan were focused on something exciting on Nadia's phone, Caleb kept spooning up bits of his mash potatoes without even looking up at Trevor or anyone for that matter, Aaron and Bruce were engaged in a conversation and Trevor was quite astonished to see who sat right beside Bruce. It was the new girl, Tiffany. Bruce had his hands over her shoulders. Trevor instinctively looked over to the corner where Nadia and Megan were and he was slightly surprised that Megan didn't even care. "Jesus, " Trevor thought to himself. He was more astonished when he realised that Lisa had been sitting beside him along without even saying a word to him. She just sat there with her attention fixed to her phone. Whether or not she was just pretending so she didn't have to talk to him, he didn't know. "Hey, Lisa," The uncertainty in Trevor's low and calm voice surprised him. "Hey," Lisa uttered without even taking her eyes off her phone. Trevor felt his stomach turn when Lisa didn't even look up at him. He felt like he was going to be sick. He had called her that morning at told her he was coming to pick her up to school as usual and she had refused. She said she had taken the bus already. He really hated fighting with Lisa. To think that all he did was try to make her happy, but instead, he made it worse. "So, Trevor," Bruce started as he wiggled his brows at him. "How's it going?" Trevor looked up at Bruce with hooded eyes as he held himself from reaching across the table and yanking at his collar. "What?" He uttered through his teeth. "Our agreement man," Bruce gave a half laugh. "You haven't started your end of the deal." "Yeah," Aaron added. "Yeah, I mean, you and Tiffin should be making out like crazy by now." "Yeah," Bruce said again. "Fifty Shades of grey style." Then the entire table erupted in laughter. Nadia and Megan threw their heads back, laughing hysterically along with Aaron and Bruce. Caleb wasn't laughing though. He just darted his eyes from Bruce to Trevor. Tiffany felt uncomfortable all of a sudden and was confused on whether to laugh along and from the side of his eye, Trevor could see Lisa shoot the laughing boys a quick glare before looking back at her phone. Lance Calculus was the last class of the day and Lance couldn't wait for the bell to go off as he sat there in his seat listening to the bald pot bellied Mr Lawson go on about Acute, Obtuse and Right angles; things Lance already studied the previous night and right now in class, he could swear he knew everything Mr Lawson was going to say, before he even said them. Lance was so bored, he thought of pulling out his phone, but he remembered how many times he had gotten his phone taken from him and if it happened again, the school authority would probably get his parents involved. Not that he gave a Bleep. Lance pulled back and rested on his seat before he started to look round the class room. A skinny boy with dark hair and large thick glasses scribbling every word Mr Lawson was saying almost made him laugh then there was a blonde hair girl picking at her nails and a fat blob of a boy with his tilted back and his mouth wide up and fast asleep. Lance then glanced over at the student sitting right behind the sleeping boy. Trevor quickly turned his eyes away from Lance and faced the teacher infront of the class; blinking rapidly and probably cussing himself for getting cut by Lance. Lance furrowed his brows in confusion. What was up with this guy lately. He had remembered how he had caught him glaring at him in the cafeteria during break and now here he was, staring at him in class. Lance faced his attention back the front of the class and exhaled when the bell finally went off. He was one of the first students to dart out of class when the bell went off. He got to the hallway, opened his locker and took books he was going to need to study into his bag. He looked over across the hall and in the midst of the students, he saw Stephanie and Lenny, standing against thier locker, talking to each other. From the way they were throwing occasional glances at him, he knew they were talking about him. Stephanie, with her red hair always packed in a pony tail, in her white t-shirt, green cargo shots and white sneakers, with her books clenched to her chest. Bleep, he was tired of seeing her all the time. They both stood there, still throwing glances at him and Lance dared them in his mind. He dared them to come near him. He held himself from jumping when he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. He spun quickly and almost raised his brows when he saw Trevor smiling at him. "Hey man." Trevor smiled at him. Lance studied Trevor for some seconds before the question left his mouth. "What do you want?" Trevor sighed and lifted his hands to rub the back of his neck. "I - eh- I.." Trevor swallowed hard. "I just wanted to apologise." Lance corked his head to side and gave Trevor a confused once over. "What?" Trevor looked round at the hallway filled with students heading for the entrance, before he looked back at Lance. "Look," he licked his lips and started again. "Aren't tired of this?" "Tired of what exactly," Lance crossed his arms over his chest. "The fighting bro," Trevor said. "Aren't you tired of it?" Lance glared into Trevor's blue eyes for a few seconds before he replied. "Nope," he smirked, but his eyes were still serious. "Not really." Trevor's face contorted and Lance saw his eyes go hard. Trevor looked down and looked up at him again. "Well I am," Trevor said. Lance was more confused now. "Okay?" "I want us to be friends," Trevor's voice was calm and almost silent. Lance stared at Trevor like he had just grown ten heads. He turned round and looked over at all the students, wondering if anyone had just heard what he heard from Trevor Bowman's mouth. He then turned back to Trevor and cracked a short laugh. "Are you serious?" Lance's smile was beginning to disappear now. "Yeah dude," Trevor smiled as he raised his hands to Lance for a shake. "Totally." Lance looked at Trevor and slowly looked down at his hand being held out to him, before he started to chuckle. He slammed his locker shut, hung his back pack on his back and faced Trevor with a smirk on his face. "Go Bleep yourself, Bowman," Lance hissed. Lance immediately saw Trevor's smile dissolve into a frown while he lowered his hands. Lance then turned away and started to walk away from Trevor, towards the entrance. He ignored the eyes of Stephanie and Lenny on him as he passed. "Oh yeah!?" Lance heard Trevor's voice echo through out the hall way behind him. "Well Bleep you too, Tiffin!" Lance didn't even look back. He smirked at himself as he pushed passed the entrance door. He had to admit, he liked how he could easily piss Trevor off most times. |

Chapter 16 Trevor On the evening of the same day, Trevor had invited Lisa over to his house. |

Chapter 17 Trevor Trevor The next day at school during break, Trevor took his tray of food from the counter and to move to his table. |

Chapter 18 Trevor That evening,Trevor had his eyes on his textbook and notebook right infront of him on his reading table. He couldn't concentrate. He could see ever sentence, every word, and every letter, but for some reason, nothing made sense. He was in his room, yet so far away from his own house. Lance's mocking smirk kept flashing in his head. His face kept haunting him with looks that made him feel like a slowpoke. Trevor slammed his history textbook shut and quickly stood up from his chair. "I can't do this." He thought to himself as he moved from one corner of his room to the other. "I-I just can't." He remembered the Lance looked at him today when he tried. His expression was a mixture of confusion and amusement. An expression that made Trevor feel as if he was mentally challenged or something. Lance made him look stupid and that was something Trevor wasn't used to. It took everything in Trevor not to reach out and throw a punch at Lance, wiping out that dirty smirk from his face. He wasn't even attracted to the piece of shit in any way, and here he was, making a fool out of him. God, he wanted to hurt him so bad. He didn't know any other way this would work out with the both of them killing each other. Trevor raked his fingers through his blonde curls as he moved his eyes to his phone on his table. He was going to call Bruce and end this nonsense before it even started. Sure, he had spent the money, but he would definitely find away to pay back. Bruce was his friend, he would definitely give him time to pay up. Trevor shook his head and moved towards the phone. "I can't do this." He whispered to himself again. He was about to touch his phone when it suddenly came to life with a hum. He looked into the screen and felt his heart skip a beat when he saw who was calling. Its was Lisa. "Hel-Hello?" Trevor pulled the phone up to his ear without even thinking. They had not said a word to each other since last night, not even when they saw each other at school. Trevor thought she was really mad at him and now she was calling him. He was confused but happy to hear her voice none the less. "Hey." Lisa's voice was calm on the other side of the line. "Hey," Trevor gave a nervous reply. There was a nerve racking silence between them now. It was as if neither of them knew what to say to the other. "Is your mom home?" Lisa broke the silence. "Uhm- No." Trevor replied as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other while thinking of what next t say. "She's on call tonight so she won't be in till morning." "Oh, okay." "Yeah. " Trevor replied. "Yours?" "My Mum is at some fancy dinner party and my dad is out of town," she said in a manner that seemed to make Trevor imagine her rolling her eyes on the other side. "Oh," was all he replied. Then that awkward silence took over again. "I want to see you," Lisa uttered. Trevor raised his brows. He suddenly felt part of him come to life when he heard her say those words. "Re- really?" "Yeah," Lisa replied with a half laugh. Trevor was about to say sure, but say 'sure', but he suddenly remembered what happened that last time he was at her house after Lisa had told him her dad was out of town. In fact, he had just gotten the plasters off the reminder of that day. He swallowed hard as his brain tried to process his next reply. He suddenly heard Lisa chuckle from the other side. "Don't worry," she said. "I'll come over." Trevor's entire shoulder dropped when he let out a sigh of relief. It was like she was reading his mind. "Okay," he said. "Cool." About five minutes later, Trevor saw Lisa pull over at the driveway from his room window. He immediately moved down stairs and pulled open the front door for her. "Hi," Lisa uttered with a shy smile, but Trevor said nothing in return. He just beamed at her as he moved out of the door way and invited her in. "Woah," Lisa muttered as she moved past and walked into the house; her eyes darting to every corner. "Can't remember when last I came here." Trevor chuckled as he shot the door and turned to face her. The both of them just stood there, she looking round the pristine sitting room obviously avoiding eye contact with him and him, trying to tear his eyes away from her. She was so beautiful. Her long black shiny hair flowing down her shoulders, her back and the sides of her perfect face. She was wearing a large white t-shirt that had the smiling face of bugs bunny printed on it, and shorts that were so short, they were bearly visible from under the shirt. Her skin, as always, was a glowing olive perfection. Her lips, pink and full, he just couldn't think of anything else but to kiss them. "Did you hear what I said?" Her voice pulled him back to reality. "Huh?" Trevor began to blink rapidly. "What?" Lisa shook her head, looked to the floor below and chuckled, before she looked back up at him again with a smile on her face. "I said i'm sorry." Trevor's brows furrowed in confusion. "Sorry?" He questioned. "Sorry for what?" "For walking out on you the other day," she swallowed as she looked down and started playing with her fingers. "For rejecting your gift. I - I just..." "Hey..Hey..hey.," Trevor quickly moved to her and cupped her face in his palms. "I should be the one apologising. I mean, I took a bet to pretend to be in love with a gay guy, a bet you didn't want me to take." "That's the thing Trevor....," Lisa pulled her face away from his grip and paced away from him. She was a few meters away from him before she turned and faced him again. "I'm the reason you took the stupid bet." "No, Lisa, I..." Trevor shook his head and groaned. He tried to fight it, but deep down, he knew she was right. He wouldn't have given into the bet if she didn't want that dress so bad. Still, he did not like to see her feeling guilty about anything. "I'm such an obnoxious and needy bitch," Lisa spat before she looked away from him and concentrated on the piece of art on the wall beside them. "Stop it!" Trevor shouted as he came close to her again and cupped her pretty face to face him once more. "Please don't say that." Before they both knew it, they were locked in a warm embrace. Lisa buried her head in Trevor's chest and Trevor pressed her so close. Neither of them wanted to let go. "You okay?" Trevor asked. "Yeah," she sniffed as she slowly pulled away from him. "I guess." Trevor lifted her face to his and stared into her blue eyes with a smile. He kissed her lips and pulled back slightly to look into her beautiful eyes once more. "I'll fix us Popcorn so we can see a Movie together," his voice was almost a whisper. "How's that?" Lisa just nodded in reply. Trevor kissed her forehead before he turned and made his way into the kitchen. He pulled open the fridge and pulled a small bag of raw corn. He closed the refrigerator and turned only to see Lisa standing at the door, smiling sweetly at him. "The corn won't take long," he said with a smile as he made his way to the cooking stove. "Why don't you go pick a DVD?" "That's the thing..." Lisa said. "I don't really want to watch a movie." Her statement made him turn to face her with raised brows and worry. "Why?" A seductive smile then appeared on Lisa's face as she reached down and pulled her white t-shirt over her head. She tried very hard not to laugh when she saw Trevor hold his eyes from widening further. "I want to do something else." Lisa's voice was seductive and low as she smiled and bit her lower lip. Trevor kept his eyes on her half naked body; not blinking once every since she took her shirt off and unaware that bag of corn had slipped from his hand and dropped to the marbled kitchen floor. |

Chapter 19 They both made thier way out of the kitchen. Lisa was pressed against him with a legs wrapped around his waist, his tongue buried in her mouth and her tongue in his. They both shared a voracious kiss as they made thier way into the living room with thier destination being Trevor's room upstairs. Trevor drove his tongue into her mouth one more time and felt himself harden below when he heard her groan softly. Her bare breasts were pressed against his upper chest as he ran his large hands down her bare back, down to her buttocks. Lisa coughed out a giggle when she felt him squeeze her bottom. She loved the way Trevor's large manly hands felt on her bare skin. She loved the roughness of his palm on her back. She pushed herself against him and drove her tongue further into his mouth as she moved her hands and grabbed a handful of his blonde curls and felt the heat rise in her body when he groaned in response. Trevor pulled his tongue out of her mouth and began sucking on her lips with his hands travelling round her soft body. That sweet smell of lavender drove him crazy as usual. The smell that held every weakness he had. He felt himself harden the more before he reached up and pulled her hair gently. A gesture that caused Lisa to throw her head back and fully expose her neck. Trevor stuck out his tongue and ran it across her neck, taking in the saltiness of her beautiful skin. Suddenly, they hit something heavy and before they both knew what was happening, Trevor lost his footing and began falling straight to the floor. "Shit." He exclaimed. But instead, they both fell in to the softness of the three-seater couch in the living room; with him right on top Lisa now and the both of them laughing. They had been so lost in each other, they didn't even care where they were going anymore. "Come on," Trevor said as he tried to raise himself from her. "Let's...." Lisa immediately reached for him and pulled him back down, before sucking on his lips again. "No," her word muffled by his mouth. "Wha- What?" Trevor asked in confusion, but not confused enough to stop her tongue from entering his mouth. Lisa pulled away and looked into his eyes. Her eyes were wild and that excited him a lot. "Bleep me here," Lisa uttered. Trevor raised his brows slightly and glanced at the sitting room door before looking back at his girlfriend below him. He was about to bring up the possibility of his mum coming home and catching them fucking on her couch, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. She had called him hours before Lisa arrived and she had told him to order pizza if he needed to because she wasn't coming home till morning. Trevor suddenly felt Lisa tugging on his shorts before he felt her soft hands wrap round his erection. At that moment, Trevor forgot all about his mum and moved his attention to his girlfriend. Lisa bit her lower lip seductively when thier eyes met and Trevor immediately felt his entire body heat up. He suddenly lowered himself and began kissing her neck. Lisa's groans made him even harder and the feeling of her fingers going up and down his penis gave him the impression that he was going to cum soon. "Oh God." Lisa moaned into his ear as he buried his head in the side of her neck. "Bleep me Trevor. Please." Then she licked his ear. Trevor raised his eyes to meet hers with a seductive smile before locking his lips with hers again. He reached down and started pulling off her shorts slowly. Lisa had pulled Trevor's shorts down to his knees now, but some how, that wasn't enough. Trevor moved his legs till his short were off completely. Lisa opened her legs and reached for his shaft; pulling it towards her. "Bleep me," she moaned as she raised her hip to his. Trevor suddenly heard the hunger in her voice. A hunger he suddenly realised they both shared. He quickly remembered he didn't have any condom with him, so he hurried upstairs with lightening speed, ignoring his reading lamp he knocked over and pulled out a packet from his drawer. He hurried back downstairs jumping three to four steps at a time, before he finally got to Lisa. He took one look at her succulent breast, her perfect skin, tender body and moved his eyes up to her blue pupils and he was suddenly lost. He tore the condom out of its wrapper and wore it on his erect cock and then finally moved into Lisa slowly with his mouth open as he gave out a low gasp. Lisa's eyes rolled to the back of her head in pure ecstasy. She reached forward and grabbed his waist with her hands as if guiding him. "Shit." Trevor gasped as he felt her inner wetness and warmth engulf his manhood. He pulled out slowly; not completely, before pushing in again. His second thrust was deeper and when Lisa's eyes moved to him and widened slightly, he knew she had felt it too. He pulled out and went in. Out and in. Out and in. His movements were regular now and thier breaths were beginning to quicken. He didn't want to move too fast all of a sudden. he didn't want to hurt her. "You - You okay?" Trevor whispered through heavy breaths as he looked down at her. "Harder Trevor," Lisa moaned in response. "Harder." Trevor began to hasten his movements when he heard those words. For him, it wasn't the words that she said, it was the way she said them. He kept his eyes on his girlfriend, watching as her entire body moved up and down in response to his thrusts. The way her body seemed to glitter with sweat. The way her breasts bounced. God. He thought of fucking her to death right there on the couch; a thought that seemed to scare the hell out of him. Trevor felt his entire his entire muscled beginning to tense. His movements became faster, even without him knowing it. He was beginning to lose control. He was close. "Loo-Look at me," he said to Lisa with heavy breaths as he kept pushing himself into her in quick succession. Lisa squeezed her eyes shot as she raked his back with her fingers. "Bleep." "I said look at me." The authority in Trevor's voice surprised he himself. Lisa opened her eyes and smiled up at him before biting her lower lip. She liked it when he spoke to her that way. She liked it when he was in control. Trevor closed his eye and increased his movements to unbelievable speeds. Lisa felt as if a machine of some sort had taken over her boyfriend's body. His thrusts were so quick. They were so fast and almost inhuman. She closed her eyes and let out a whimper. The both of them felt thier bodies beginning to unravel. The sitting room seemed to be burning all of a sudden. Trevor squeezed the leather of the couch in his hands as he felt Lisa's nails dig into his skin. He felt the pain, but he likes it. It was as if the entire nerves in his body was travelling down to his groin. The entire heat in his body was moving down south. "Oh God, Trevor." Lisa wailed as she pulled him close. Thier body's seemed go up in flames as the pressed thier hips into each other and gave out a loud drawn out groan in unison. Trevor felt his entire body twitch, just like that of Lisa below him, before his entire muscles weakened and he collapsed on Lisa's body. The both of them laid there, entwined in each other and trying to catch thier breaths. Trevor felt Lisa's hands tugging on his blond curls playfully. He loved it when she did that. He suddenly felt tired and began to feel his eyes close slowly as he drifted away. "Shit." Lisa voice woke him up again. "Wha-What?" Trevor looked up at her in confusion as she pushed him off her. "I've got to get home." Lisa replied as she stood from the couch and grabbed her shorts and pulled it up her waist and glanced at him. "It's a school night, remember?" "So?" Trevor replied as he dropped his shoulders. "So?," she said as she put her white t-shirt back on. "I have to get home. We've got school in the morning." "We could go from here," Trevor shrugged with a smile as he reached for her but she pulled away. "Yeah. right." Trevor felt slightly hurt by her sarcasm. Lisa got dressed and kissed her boyfriend on the cheek while he was still sitting on the couch, before she turned away and hurried towards the door. "Pick me at seven," Lisa yelled before she went out the door and slammed it behind her. Trevor just sat there on his mother's couch, half naked. The speed with which Lisa had left was astounding, but he could not say he wasn't use it by now. "Yeah..." He finally said to himself a few seconds after he heard the door slam shut. "Sure." |

Chapter 20 Trevor "Look man," Trevor was almost groaning now. "I-I don't think I can do this." Aaron chuckled while Bruce rolled his eyes from the other side of the table. It was lunchtime now and the boys; Aaron, Caleb, Bruce and Trevor were at the table. The girls were absent because they all had cheer-leading practice. Caleb juts sat there in silence. A recent silence that had started to worry Trevor lately and he said he was going to confront him about it. Like Bruce,Caleb has also been a close friend of Trevor since childhood and loosing that friendship over a bet is what Trevor wasn't going to take. Bruce took a sip of his Pepsi before looking up at Trevor. "Sure,"he shrugged. "No problem." Trevor darted his eyes away from Caleb and faced Bruce. "Wh-What?" Bruce took a piece of his potatoes chips and chewed with his eyes still Trevor. "You can drop the bet if you want." Bruce shrugged. "Really?" Trevor straightened up as he felt his heart skip a beat with excitement. "Really?" Caleb repeated with his confused eyes on Bruce. He looked confused, but sceptical also. "That is, if you have my money right here, right now,"Bruce uttered with a dirty smirk on his face. Trevor's face fell along with his shoulders. Caleb gave a sigh that seemed to show disappointment as he raised his hands to rub his temple. Aaron through his head back in a hysterical laughter, a gesture that seemed to piss Trevor off. "You're going to have to give me time." Trevor replied. Bruce dropped his Pepsi after a sip before coughing out a short laugh. "Excuse me?" "You're going to have to give me time to come up with the money, dude," Trevor explained. Aaron and Bruce looked at each other; the both of them amused, before Bruce looked back at Trevor with a mocking smile on his face. "I didn't need a couple of days to get you the money," Bruce said. "Did I?" Trevor suddenly clenched his jaws as he heard Bruce's statement. He wanted to reach across the table and punch his lights out. "You didn't need a couple of days because you are a rich bastard," Trevor growled in his head. "Bruce," Trevor sighed. "...be reasonable. Please." Bruce's smile suddenly disappeared. He glared at Trevor with intense eyes. "Reasonable?" Bruce uttered as he gave Trevor a look that seemed to show he didn't believe what Trevor was saying . "You want me to be reasonable?" Trevor rolled his eyes and prepared himself for what was coming. "You were the one who told me over the phone," Trevor protested. "Trevor, you told me you were in." Trevor looked at Bruce and suddenly tried to swallow the guilt he was feeling back into his gut. Bruce was right. "How the hell am I not being reasonable?" Bruce asked with his voice higher than before. "Okay, okay," Aaron finally cut in after he put down his juice. "Guys, cool it." Aaron then turned to Trevor. "Dude," he began. "It's just bet, what's the big deal?" "What's the big deal?," Trevor hissed through his teeth. "I have to pretend to be in love with a gay guy, that's the big deal." Bruce started to chuckle. "It's not funny," Trevor spat. "Hey," Aaron raised his hand in surrender with a smile on his face. "No one is saying it is, Okay. Relax man." "Are you gay, Trevor?" Bruce's voice hit Trevor like a truck. "Wh-What?" Trevor couldn't hide his astonishment. "Are you gay?" Bruce asked again in a surprisingly casual tone; not seeing the gravity of his question. Trevor turned his wide eyes to an equally astonished Caleb, before he looked back at a Aaron and Bruce smirking at him. "No," Trevor scowled. "Then why the Bleep is this a problem for you?" Bruce asked with a shrug. "I-I..I don't know," Trevor stuttered. "..because..because.." "Because someone is going to get hurt," Caleb's voice seemed to startled the three of them. "Who?" Bruce laughed. "You mean that miserable gay." "Yeah," Aaron added with a malicious smile. "Trevor hates the jack Ass anyway, so it should be fun." Caleb moved his eyes from them and faced Trevor, before he shook his head and rubbed his temple again. There was no reasoning with these guys. Trevor just sat there, unsure of what to say. Aaron was right, he hated Lance so much, but that didn't mean it was all going to be easy. "Okay, Trev," Bruce raised his hand in surrender. "Tell you what, you give me back the money before Friday, and we'll call the bet off." "How's that?" Aaron added with a smile. Trevor's eyes bulged. Were they crazy? Today was tuesday. How the hell did they want him to come up with almost four thousand dollars in just two days? Trevor glared up at Aaron and Bruce smiling at him. He felt the bile raise in his throat and held himself for screaming at them. They were both psychotic bastards. "You know that's not possible," the words betrayed Trevor and fell from his mouth. "Well then," Bruce dropped his empty Pepsi bottle to the table and dusted his hands like his work here was done, before he looked over at Aaron with a triumphant smile. "I guess it's settle then." As if on cue, the bell went off for the end of break. Trevor watched as Aaron and Bruce stood up from their seats, dusting thier mouths and the shirts. "Settled?" Trevor asked. "What's settled?" Bruce looked up to Trevor with a serious look on his face. "You're doing the bet Bro." Trevor dropped his shoulders and opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Bruce and Aaron were already walking towards the cafeteria entrance, leaving Caleb and Trevor behind. Trevor turned and faced Caleb. "What do you think?" Trevor asked his childhood friend. Caleb gave him a wry smile and then shrugged. "Just do it, Trev," he said as he stood up from his seat. "See you at practice," Caleb said as he walked past Trevor, tapping him playfully on his shoulder. Trevor smiled and watched Caleb hurry out of the Cafeteria. He sat there and watched other student make thier way out to attend thier various classes. He suddenly felt his stomach tighten when he saw him. it was Lance. He was walking towards the cafeteria entrance with a plastic bottle of coke in his hands. black t-shirt, black skinny jeans and black sneakers. This time, he did not wear a beanie, so his black curls hair was exposed. Trevor even noticed what looked like a tattoo sipping out on his hands, from under his letter sleeve. His attention was fixed on his phone and so Trevor felt comfortable enough to keep staring. Then suddenly, Lance looked up and looked straight at Trevor and Trevor felt his heart race. Lance's eyes settled on him like he knew Trevor was staring at him all along, before he looked away and walked out the entrance. Trevor dragged himself off his seat and put his full bottle of Pepsi in his bag. He had been so worried about the whole situation, he had not even taken a sip. He felt sick when he realised what the next few weeks were going to be like for him because of this bet. He even felt sicker when he suddenly remembered he had Geography right now, with Lance. |

First of all, let me apologize for my delayed posts, it was due to circumstances beyond my control. I promise to be more consistent this time until the story ends. At least, you will have new posts every weekend. Thanks to all of you for reading my story... Even though I know i'm a learner ![]() Chapter 21 Lance Lance just sat there with his phone before him while the class felt like a beehive with bees buzzing about. A group of girls talking about how hot Tyler Posey was in an episode of Teen Wolf that aired last night, two African American boys arguing about the upcoming basket ball game between the Lakers and the Nets and four nerds arguing about Plutonium and Uranium. Two of the nerds were Lenny and Stephanie. Without looking, Lance could tell that Stephanie was watching him all the while, but honestly, he did not have time for that bitch right now. He didn't know who was more annoying, she or the retarded buffoons from the music club who were wailing like sick cats on heat not too far behind him. Lance looked up from the phone and up to the door in time to see Trevor walk into the class. With his blond hair combed back, his fitting white t-shirt contrasting perfectly with his olive skin and his blue Levi jeans. Ugh, the fact that he looked so neat made Lance want to vomit. His sneakers were a perfect white, just like his freaking t-shirt. He walked in and stopped at the door, before he began to scan the entire class. It was almost as if he was looking for something...... or someone. "Hey Trevor," one flirty blond waved at him for a seat close to Lance and Trevor smiled at her in return. A smile that made the girl giggle before turning to her friends. It also made Lance sick when girls seemed to melt when ever Trevor and his friends looked at them or walked by. Lance was gay, but he didn't find any of these so called "Kentworth Princes" attractive. Honestly, he thought they were just four block heads who just preferred vaginas rather than having common sense. "Move," Trevor's voice startled Lance out of his thoughts. Lance over and saw the boy sitting be siding him looking up and someone. It was Trevor. "But-but this is my seat," the boy stuttered as he shifted uncomfortably. "I know," Trevor gave a quick grin. "Now move." The boy turned his astonished eyes from Trevor who was towering over him, to Lance who was sitting beside him. Lance held himself from laughing when he saw the way the boy looked at him. The poor lad must have though he was dreaming or something. He was preparing himself for his class in a seat he had sat on ever since he entered this grade and out of the blue, Trevor Bowman comes out of nowhere and tells him to leave. Lance could tell nothing like this had ever happened to him in his life. He could challenge Trevor and say he wasn't going anywhere , but that would not end well at all. Any fool would take one look at Trevor and tell that he would break that boy in half. "Dude, " Trevor's voice interrupted Lance's thoughts again. "I said move." The boy looked over at Lance once more, as if asking him for help through his eyes, but Lance just smirked at him and looked away. He never did like the skinny loser anyway, and the fact that Trevor was kicking him out of his seat didn't really seem to bother him; at least not yet. "Are you deaf?" Trevor's voice was like a low and menacing growl. A growl that seemed to make Lance's skin crawl alittle. The manner in which the question was asked was enough to make the boy stand to his feet quickly. He raked his books of the table and pressed them to his chest as he watched Trevor move over and drop to his chair. Lance looked over at the boy and noticed his uneasiness. He looked furious. He looked mad and he also looked like he was about to lash out at Trevor. Even Lance knew that would be a big mistake. Anyone would take one look at the boy and then at Trevor, and then realise immediately, that Trevor would have no problem breaking the dude into two equal halves. Apart from from that fact that Trevor was clearly taller than the boy, he also packed up a whole lot of muscle under that skin of his, and the boy himself seemed to be made of nothing more than skin and bone. Lance played ball with Trevor, hell, he fought with Trevor and even he had to admit, Trevor's punches were more like large rocks ramming into his face with unfathomable force. He would kill this boy instantly if he punched him like that. "Is there a problem?" Trevor asked the stupefied young dude, but he said nothing. The boy just turned away and walked to the back of the class. Lance's watched for a while as the boy walked away, defeated and angry at the same time. The thought of how he would be feeling seemed to make Lance smile alittle. He then caught the confused eyes of Stephanie and Lenny darting between he and Trevor sitting by his side and he felt his smile fade slowly. "What's up man?" Trevor's voice made Lance turn to meet his smiling and suddenly cheerful face. Without a reply, Lance looked away from his new seat partner and faced the white board infront of class. Like clockwork, the geography teacher walked in with three large papers rolled under his armpit. "Sorry i'm alittle late, guys," the chubby man apologised as he set the rolled up maps on the table, got out a handkerchief and wiped at his temple. " ..I was busy with something." Trevor nudged Lance and snickered with a mischievous smile. "Dude looks like he just bleeped someone real fast." Then he looked at Lance and started to laugh quietly, hoping Lance would join him. Lance exhaled and looked at his new partner with narrow eyes. "Shut the Bleep up, Bowman,"Lance hissed. At that moment, Lance held himself from laughing when he saw how fast Trevor's smile dissolved into a hard glare, before he finally faced forward and kept his mouth shut. |

Chapter 22 Trevor It took everything in Trevor not to knock Lance's lights out. The bastard just told him to shut up.......and he did. He knew that if he got hostile towards Lance in anyway, that would make things more difficult, so he had to keep calm and play cool. Even if Lance was being a bloody jerk, he had to be cool, after all, he remembered what would happen to Lance of all this; he would be humiliated, completely disgraced before the whole school on Prom night. Trevor felt a smile tug on his lips slightly when the thoughts filled his mind as he turned slightly and looked over at Lance. "He was going to be humiliated," the menacing voice kept ringing in Trevor's head. That was the best compensation he could accept for any shit he was going to take from Lance. Trevor still kept his eyes on Lance. Three distinct black curls of his hair peeking out of his beanie as he sat there, relaxed on his seat; his right arm stretched to the top of his book and his pen scribbling something on it. Trevor watched as Lance's eyes darted back and forth between his notebook and the geography teacher. It was weird to see how focused, serious and yet relaxed Lance appeared to be. Trevor glanced at his Lance's notebook. An entire page was already filled with letters in blue and red ink. "He writes with two pens?" Trevor thought to himself. "Who does that?" So, geography breezed by like every other class after it and soon, it was time to go home. Trevor met Lisa out in crowded hall way right beside his locker. "Hey Babe," Lisa said, before closing him to kiss her boy friend on his lips. "Hey," Trevor replied with a smile. "I missed you." "Me too," Lisa smiled at him. "Just give me a sec, okay?" Trevor said as he began to put some books from his locker into his backpack. He knew they were going to ride home together and so he didn't like to keep Lisa waiting. "Actually..." Lisa began. Trevor looked up at her. "Actually what?" "Me and Nadia are going over to Megan's house to hang for a while," She said as she scrunched her nose in a way that made Trevor feel she was feeling guilty about let him go home alone. "So...i'm riding with the girls today." Trevor gave a sigh as he stared at his girlfriend. He could see her face slowly dropping at the fact that she may have disappointed him. Damn, he hated seeing her that way. Trevor then gave a weak smile and shrugged. "Sure," he said. "No problem." When he saw the way Lisa's face lit up with a smile, he felt his heart soar. Her smile always did something to him. It made his want to jump out in public and tell the world how in love he was with Lisa Watson. Lisa pulled him in for a hug, kissed his cheek and uttered a "Thank you." "God, Lisa! Come on!" Nadia's voice calling from across the hall made them both look in her direct. She stood there with Megan; both of them still in thier Cheerleading outfits. "We've got to go," Megan called out. "We're stopping at the salon remember?" "Okay! coming!" Lisa yelled a reply before turning back, kissing her boyfriend one last time and pulling away from him, running towards her friends. "Love you!" Lisa yelled as she trotted away. "Love you too," Trevor yelled. "Hey Trevor," Nadia called out. "Why don't you give you new boyfriend a ride." Trevor immediately narrowed his eyes at the girls as they started to laugh hysterically. Lisa had a smile on face as she swatted Nadia's arm. "Ha...ha..ha, Nadia," Trevor said. "Very funny." Lisa was laughing now as she hurried the laughing girls out the school entrance. She turned to Trevor and blew him a kiss. Trevor smiled as he watched he leave. He locked his locker, hung his backpack over his shoulder and turned to walk away, then he suddenly get his shoulder collide with that of someone else. Hard. "What the..," Trevor yelled before he looked up and met Lance scowling at him. "Watch where you're going you slowpoke," Lance snarled at him. Trevor felt the bile rise in his throat at that moment. He tightened his fists beside him and held himself from grabbing the bastard by the collar and beating the shit out of him. "Go to hell," was all Trevor could say. Lance just looked away and kept moving to the entrance, leaving Trevor stand there. Some of the students in the hallway were surprised. Even though they didn't want to show it, they just couldn't imagine that anyone could call Trevor Bowman a slowpoke and get away with it. Trevor felt his fists tighten even more, with rage tearing through his body as he watched Lance make his way out of the school entrance. He only hoped they would both be alive by the time this bet was over. |

Chapter 23 Trevor Everytime Trevor's alarm went off, he would quickly lift himself up, but then he would sink back into bed when he remembered Lance, Bruce and the bet. "I fucking hate my life so much right now," Trevor groaned into his pillow. This was how it had been ever since he took that money from Bruce. His mom had even noticed how calm and somewhat distant ; almost depressed he looked whenever he was going to school. He once thought about lying and calling in sick, but he remembered his mother was a doctor and she would know he was lying straight away. Trevor finally made his way out of the house and into his car, driving straight to Lisa's house to pick her up. "Hey Babe," Lisa smiled sweetly, as she dropped into the passenger seat beside Trevor and kissed him. "Morning, sunshine," Trevor replied as he pulled back with a smile after they kissed. "What's up?" "Good," Lisa shrugged at him before she dug into her backpack to search for something. "Can we stop over at Blinley's for coffee?" "Why?" Trevor asked as he reached over and twisted the key. "Didn't get enough sleep last night?" "It's not that." Lisa replied as she pulled down the mirror above her, rolled on some lip gloss on her beautiful lips, raised the mirror back and looked over at Trevor with tired eyes. "It's just...I don't know...I just feel less energetic today, you know, and we've got cheerleading practice after school, so I'm going to need all the strength I can get." Trevor gave her a kind smile before he reached down and patted her laps then he pulled in to kiss her again. "You be fine," he said, before they drove off. They both stopped over at Blinley's for coffee. Trevor got a regular for Lisa and a cappuccino for himself. The teens settled back into the car, dropping the filled up disposable cups beside them. Trevor reached over and turned on the radio and immediately turned up the volume when he heard the song "What can I do" by The Corrs. He turned it up and looked up Lisa in time to see her grimace at him. "What?" Trevor raised his shoulders. "What the hell is this?" Lisa asked with a mocking smile her face as she pointed to the radio. "How old are you, Fifty?" "Come on Lisa," Trevor chuckled as he started the car and began moving out of the parking lot. "It's the Corrs, everyone loves The Corrs." "Yeah, sure," Lisa replied as she rolled her eyes and dug into her pocket for her phone. "Everyone born in the seventies." Trevor moved his wide eyes to her and coughed out a laugh. "Excuse me?" Lisa gave him a death stare as she reached over and pressed a button that made the song stop. Then she reached over and grabbed a USB cord from the pigeon hole, connected on end to her phone before she kept swiping at the screen. "What are you doing?" He asked as he darted his eyes between the road and his girlfriend. Without looking up at him, Lisa replied, "You're eighteen, Trevor. You should be listening to songs...." Then she paused and then like clock work, "New Romantics" by Taylor Swift, began to boom through the interior of the car. Trevor glared at Lisa. ".....like this," Lisa finally completed her sentence with a smirk. He watched her for a while as she moved her head and snapped her fingers to the rhythm of the song. Singing the lyrics ever so loudly and happily. He loves seeing her this way; happy, lively and without a care in the world, but he still did not like Taylor Swift anyway, just like she didn't like The Corrs, so they were even. Sometime, Trevor felt odd. He felt a bit different, not just from his girl friend, but his friends entirely. Lisa wasn't the only one that disapproved of his choice of music. Nadia and Caleb still call him grandpa till this day ever since they found songs from Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and Shania Twain in his Ipod back in ninety grade. He would always defend himself and tell them he had already Mature taste in music compared to them. Trevor then smiled when he remembered Bruce's response. "Shut the hell up,man," Bruce would. "You're just lame." Everyone would laugh. Everyone, including Lisa, but of course, like always, Trevor didn't care. They were his friends, and he loved them too much and knew them too well to let what they said get to him. They even made fun of the fact that he made cooking a hobby, but always seemed to wipe thier plates clean each time they came over to his house and his mum wasn't in. Yes, Trevor loved to cook. Before long, they pulled over at the school parking lot, pecked each other on the lips before moving to thier various classes. Trevor dropped his shoulders and sighed in a depressing manner when he walked into Algebra class that morning and saw Lance sitting there with his eyes on him as if he had been expecting him to work through the door. The teacher wasn't in class yet. Lance rolled his eyes and looked away as Trevor made his way to the seat beside him. Trevor was slightly surprised to see that his nerdy sitting partner was back but not withstanding, he was going to kick him out as just like last time. "Yo," Trevor said as he got to the boy. "Move." The boy reluctantly looked up Trevor through his thick-lensed glasses. He thought of telling Trevor to get lost, but he knew that wouldn't end well, especially for him. "Are you deaf?" Trevor asked. Lance The boy slammed his book shot and was about to get up when Lance's voice made him freeze. "Sit down, Chris." The boy turned and faced Lance who still had his eyes on his note book before him. "Wha-what?" The boy asked, just to be sure he heard Lance correctly. "I said sit down," Lance repeated; eyes still on his book. The boy slowly turned and looked up at Trevor with a smirk on his face as he slowly dropped back to his seat. The look on Trevor's face made him so happy, he held himself from laughing at him. Trevor kept darting his rapidly blinking eyes from Lance to his skinny partner. Trevor then leaned forward and got so close to the boy, he could smell Trevor's minty breath. "I'm going to say this one last time. Get the Bleep up," Trevor growled at the boy and watched as his smile slowly faded. "Sit down,Chris," Lance warned this time, without even looking at them. The boy looked back at Lance and then turned back to Trevor, pleading with his eyes for them not to put him in this situation. Trevor suddenly reached forward and pulled the boy by his collar. "Get. Up," Trevor snarled at the terrified boy. The boy nodded rapidly as he was about to lift himself from his seat when he suddenly felt Lance's large and strong palms slamming on his shoulder and pressing him back to his seat. Chris and Trevor looked over at Lance now, just as he slowly turned his hooded eyes to glared at Trevor. "Get lost Bowman," Lance's words were slow and menacing. There was something in his voice that made the hairs on Trevor's neck stand. Trevor clenched his jaw as he looked at Chris and then back at Lance, before letting go of Chris' collar. "Whatever," Trevor hissed as he backed away. "fucking gay." Lance immediately heard and felt something snap in his head when he heard those words from Trevor. He didn't even know when he dropped his pen on his table and stood to his feet turned to Trevor. "What the Bleep did you just call me?" Lance didn't realise how loud his choice was until the class felt Quiet after his utterance. Trevor stopped moving and turned to face Lance. Lance felt his blood boil in his veins when he saw the smirk on Trevor's face. Lance could see the worried stares of Stephanie and Lenny from the side of his eye,but he didn't give a Bleep. "I called you exactly what you are," Trevor said. "I fucking fa-" Then Trevor saw stars, along with an excruciating white hot pain that tore through his face. Lance had interrupted him with a powerful punch to the face. Before anyone what was happening, Trevor knocked Lance to the ground and the both of them were in a fight; rolling over each other, punching each other and slamming each other against the tables and chairs. "Stop it!" Lance could make out Stephanie's scream from the cheers of students that seemed to be yelling "Fight! fight! fight!" The Algebra teacher walked into the class room and yelled "What's going on here?!" The entire class fell silent and the cheers and shouts disappeared, giving way for the sound of furniture and metal scrapping the tiled floor as the students hurried over and made their way to thier seats. No one wanted to get in trouble. Lance and Trevor did not care though, because they were still fighting. The teacher then hurried over and got hold of the two boys. "Alright! That's enough! Break it up!" The teacher yelled as he pulled the boys apart. "I said break it up!" When he had successfully separated them, he darted confused eyes between the both of them as they glared at each other with their torso moving up and down with heavy breaths. Lance glared at Trevor and was glad he had torn the top of his t-shirt, but then, he didn't feel so victorious when felt the metallic taste of warm blood that beaded down to his lips from his left nostril. |

Chapter 24 Trevor was so glad the Algebra teacher, Mr. Decker, had decided to pardon them, but Lance on the other hand, didn't seem to care of he got in trouble or not. They were both taken to the school nurse for treatment and it really pissed Lance off to see that he had gotten a bleeding nose while all Trevor had was a torn shirt. Trevor was unhurt and that's why he left Lance in the school clinic, smirking mischievously at Lance who was glaring at him as he walked out. Apart from Algebra, they weren't having any other classes together, until Chemistry, which happened to be the last. It was time for Spanish, one of the classes Trevor shared with Aaron and Bruce. "Heard you and you boyfriend got into a fight again," Aaron whispered with a mischievous smile on his face as he spun to face Trevor sitting behind him. Trevor raised his head to face him with narrowed eyes, before he raised his middle finger to a laughing Aaron. "So I take it he doesn't trust you yet?" Bruce asked from beside Trevor. "Of course not," Trevor replied. "The guy's an asshole." "Dude," Aaron began. "You're not gonna get his trust if you keep talking to him like that." "So what the Bleep do you want me to do?" Trevor hissed. "Take him to a candlelight dinner or something?" Aaron and Bruce exchanged amused glances at each other. "That's not a bad idea though," Bruce laughed. "Bleep you man," Trevor waved the laughing boys off and massaged his temples before turning to Bruce . "Seriously Bruce, I don't think I can do this anymore." Bruce's laughter died down and his smile faded away too quickly. "Do you have my money?" Trevor rolled his eyes and looked away from Bruce as he relaxed back on his chair. He knew Bruce was going to say shit like this again. He could swear this was more like blackmail now..or something close to it at least. "No," Trevor finally answered, with his eyes addressing his desk. "Good," Bruce uttered. "and you know what else you don't have?" Trevor looked up at Bruce with raised brows that seemed to say "What?" "Time," Bruce said. "Prom is less than two months away man," Aaron added. Trevor looked to his desk before him and gave out an exasperated sigh, before he pinched the bridge of his nose. This was a nightmare. His final year in high school was a pure nightmare. But for some reason, when he remembers the reason he got into the bet, it makes him feel better. When he remembers the smile on Lisa's face, it makes him feel okay again. "Just try and be nicer to him," Bruce's voice pulled Trevor out of his thoughts. "Yeah, even if he's being a jerk, Ignore it. At the end of the day, he's the one getting shit faced, right?" Aaron added with smile on his face. The Spanish teacher made her way into the class with a cheerful "Hola, Amigos" and class started shortly. Trevor sat there, thinking how he was going to use his next class with Lance to work things out as his friends had advised. |

Chapter 25 Lance Few hours later, it was time for Chemistry and all the students were in the lab already, with their goggles and the white lab coats. All the students except Trevor. The large lab had eight large tiled island tables with two sinks and taps on each. Four tables in a row on the right side of the lab and four tables in a row on the left side. There were two students to each table, except for the table right behind Lance that had three girls that kept taking and talking uncontrollably about a blond guy they met on Instagram. Fucking parrots. Lance held himself from turning back and yelling at the bitches to shut the Bleep up. Lance looked over and saw Caleb and Nadia at the far corner. He knew they were Trevor's friend's and that Trevor always sat with them during chemistry. But Lance himself, was always alone during the class because even though he didn't want anyone sitting near him, no body wanted to sit with him anyway. While the teacher was explaining the experiment he called "Titration" to them, someone hurried into the class. "Nice of you to join us Mr. Bowman," The teacher mocked. Trevor ignored him and kept moving, he had earphones plugged to his ear and Lance was quite surprised that the teacher had not seen them, or maybe he was expecting him to take them off later. Trevor kept moving. He was obviously heading for Nadia and Caleb, but then, he paused and looked in Lance's direction. Lance suddenly looked away and felt his stomach flip when Trevor dropped his book on his table. Lance looked up and glared at Him. "What are you doing?" Lance snarled. Trevor turned to face him before he pulled of his left earpiece. "Sorry? didn't hear you?" "You can't sit here," Lance hissed. Trevor looked round the lab as if this was the first time he was taking chemistry, then he looked back at Lance and shrugged. "I thought it was two people to a table," Trevor uttered before he jutted his thumb to the teacher on the stand. "Should we ask him?" Lance clenched his jaws and his fists as he took a deep breath and looked away. The bastard. He knew the teacher would immediately approve of Trevor's sitting beside him because they were meant to be two to a table after all. It made Lance really mad when he realised there was nothing he could do about this situation. He was stuck with him. He heard some people giggle from the corner and then he spun to see Nadia with a palm over her mouth and Caleb shaking his head with a smile on his face. What was going on? "Now please, remember, when diluting your Hydrochloric acid, " The teacher announced. "Always pour the acid into the water and not the water into the acid. I repeat, pour your acid into the water and not the water into the acid. Is that clear?" "Yes sir," the students replied in unison. Lance looked over at Trevor and realised he still had his earphones on as he was moving his head from side to side while reading the lab manual. He probably had not heard a word of what the teacher had said. Lance awkwardly noticed how Trevor's skin appeared to glow under the late afternoon sun that sipped into the lab though the windows. His blond hair now looked golden and when he turned to look at Lance, his eyes were an astoundingly piercing blue. "What?" Trevor asked with furrowed brows. Lance blinked quickly; a bit ashamed that Trevor had caught him staring, so he rolled his eyes, shook his head and looked away. "Bowman?" The teacher's voice made the both of them look up. He was standing right infront of thier table with a beaker labelled 'HCL' and another beaker labelled 'NaOH'. "Get rid of the earphones," he said. "Now." Trevor dropped his shoulders and pulled out the earphones and stuffed them in the pocket of his jacket. "Thank you," The teacher said as he dropped the two beakers on thier table, before he moved over to the next. After a few minutes, the experiment was underway. Lance skillfully diluted the Base, all the whole ignoring the way Trevor was watching him. When he was done, he shifted the beaker containing the acid to Trevor. "Here," Lance said. "You should dilute the acid." Trevor looked up at him in confusion. "What?" He asked. "Why?" "Because we are a team," Lance said as he picked an empty beaker and filled it up with water at the table, before stretching over to Trevor. "You don't expect me to do all the work, do you?" Trevor stared at the water filled beaker in Lance's hand for a while , before sighed, put in his goggles and took it. He tipped the beaker over the acid filled beaker and then paused and looked up at Lance who was smirking for some reason. "I pour the water into the acid,"Trevor asked. "Right?" Lance's smirk then grew into a smile as he positioned his goggles and moved back slowly. "Absolutely." He replied. Trevor Trevor eyed Lance with a mixture of suspicion and confusion, before he turned his attention back to the acid before him. He began pouring the water into the acid. Even when he saw the acid beginning to bubble up, as if it was boiling, he didn't stop. He figured it was just a normal reaction or something. "Hey! Stop!" One of the girls from the table behind them screamed out. "What are you doing!?" Before Trevor could turn to face the screaming girl, it happened. There was a loud bang and shards of glass flying in the air. Trevor heard some girls scream in shock while others just gave loud gasps. Everything happened so fast. He felt splashes of liquid on his face; cold at first, but after a few seconds, they began to burn. Trevor looked all around him. He was confused as hell. He still did not know what was going on. Students were staring at him with wide eyes. Everyone looked shocked. The Lab seemed to be spinning. "Trevor!" Caleb screamed. "Your coat! Take off your coat!" Trevor looked over and saw Caleb pointing at him with wide panic filled eyes, before he looked down at himself. When Trevor saw what was happening, his chest tightened with fear. His now wet lab coat was beginning to dissolve. Trevor could not understand. It seemed to be turning into ash, with anything burning it. "Take it off!" Trevor heard the girl scream again. Trevor immediately ripped the wet coat off his, a bit surprised at how easy it was to tear. "What the hell happened?" The teacher hurried over in panic as he scanned Trevor. "What happened?" Trevor opened his mouth to talk, but nothing came out. He was still confused. In total shock. He just kept observing himself and found a tiny piece of glass had pierced his palm. "Will someone tell me what the hell is going on?" The teachers tone was higher now. "He-he poured water into the acid," One of the girls behind stuttered as she pointed to the mess on Trevor's table. "You what?" The teacher uttered as he turned his wide eyes to Trevor in shock. "Are you trying to kill yourself?" Trevor looked at the table and everything was beginning to add up now. The beaker containing the acid, it had exploded for some reason. "Jesus Christ, I announced this before we started, you do not put the water in the acid. You put the acid in the water!" The teacher was sounding frustrated now as he through his hand in the air and down again. "What the hell is wrong with you?" "But - I - thought - I," Trevor stuttered. He was lost. "Just wait here, I'll be right back," The teacher said as he went to the back of the room, probably to get first aid of something. Trevor just stood there still in shock. A beaker of acid had just exploded in his face. The teacher said he had done the wrong thing. Even the screaming girl pointed it out, but it was too late. Trevor tried to ignore everyone staring at him. He did not even feel embarrassed and that was weird. He suddenly felt someone place an arm on his shoulder. "Dude,"Caleb's calm voice broke through the ringing of his ears. "You okay?" He looked up and saw Caleb's worried face. Nadia was right behind him. "I think so, I don't know," Trevor replied. "Trevor," Nadia started. "Why the hell would you do something like that? You could have gotten killed." "I know, I just...it was a mistake. I thought -" Trevor paused and looked at the two holes in his t-shirt and one on his jeans. This was just a mistake. Lance had told him....... Trevor froze immediately. Lance. He looked up at Lance and saw him trying very hard to hold down a laugh as he was scribbling something on his notebook. Looking unconcerned as usual. The bastard was the one that told him to pour the water into the acid. That's why he has that smile on his face. That's why he had offered to work as a team. He should have known. Since when did Lance team up with him on anything? Trevor felt his rage rise with every realisation that hot him. He clenched his fists at his sides and held himself from charging for Lance. The fucker had done it all on purpose. He had planned this out. Trevor held himself. The last thing he needed now was to fight with Lance twice in one day. Trevor's hooded eyes were still on Lance before Lance turned to face him and wink at him with a smirk. Trevor lost it. Without looking, Trevor picked up the glass beaker filled with water, swung it and smashed it to pieces on Lance's face. "Holy Shit!" Caleb yelled. Lance was disoriented and Trevor suddenly saw his chance. He knocked Lance to the floor and Lance pulled him with him. Trevor and Lance started throwing punches at each other for the second time that day. |

Chapter 26 The school principal, Mr. Brown sat there with his elbows to his table and his fingers interlocked as he stared at the two boys sitting side by side on the opposite side of the table. Trevor had a plaster on his nose and Lance pressed a pack of ice to his bruised cheek. The both of them were taken to the school nurse who saw them and shook her head. "You can't be serious," she had said as she wondered how two people could Hate each other so much. Afterwards, the Chemistry teacher reported to the principal. Unfortunately for the both of them, the chemistry teacher wasn't as lenient as Mr. Decker, the Algebra teacher. The three of them just sat there in the silence that had engulfed Mr Brown's office, the only sound was coming from the wall clock at the corner. "To be honest," Mr Brown finally broke the silence with his eyes on Trevor. "I never expected such from you,Bowman." Trevor gave a depressing sigh before he opened his mouth. "Mr. Brown I-" Then he stopped and leaned back in his chair the moment the Principal lifted his palm to stop him. "And you," Mr. Brown went on, with his eyes on Lance this time. "You're the reason why i'm not going to expel or punish the both of you." Trevor wanted to turn and look over at Lance on his right, but he thought that would be stupid. From the corner of his eye, he could see Lance glaring at a painting on the wall beside Mr. Brown all the while he was talking to him. "I'm not going to punish you because I wouldn't want to make you life more difficult than it already is," Mr Brown said to Lance. Trevor then shoved his pride aside and glanced at Lance beside him when he heard what the principal just said. What did he mean by that? Trevor could tell the principal's statement had also struck Lance in a way because, for the first time since they entered the office, Lance was looking at the principal. "..But if something like this happens again, the school will have to call your parents," Mr. Brown warned. "And as for the school property you both destroyed, the school will take care of it this once." Trevor was relieved but yet a little uncomfortable to think that they were getting off the hook....because of Lance. What was going on? What did Mr. Brown know about Lance? "Remember," Mr Brown pointed at them with a tone of warning. "The next time this happens, you both won't be so lucky. Is that understood?" "Yes sir,"Trevor replied politely before he looked over at Lance, a bit surprised he didn't reply Mr. Brown. "Can I go now?" Lance spat. Trevor immediately turned to Mr. Brown, expecting a hostile reply, but Mr. Brown just sighed and thinned his lips. "Sure Lance," the bearded man said as he nodded. "You can go." Before Mr. Brown could even finish, Lance was on his feet. He just walked to the door, opened it and walked out without even closing it back. Trevor moved his confused eyes from the open door to the principal. "You too, Trevor," the principal sighed as he relaxed back in his chair. Trevor slowly got up, turned and headed for the door. He made his way out and closed it. He was a bit delighted to see Lisa and Caleb waiting for him outside the office. Lisa and Caleb moved closer to him with fear in thier eyes; almost as if they were waiting for the bad news. "relax, guys," Trevor smirked. "I'm not getting expelled." Lisa and Caleb exhaled in relief before Lisa ran up and hugged him. "Thank God," Lisa groaned as she kissed his lips. The three of them made thier way away from the Administration wing and walked into the empty hall way. School had closed over forty minutes ago. Caleb's smile dissolved into confusion as he drove his fingers through his brown hair. "But wait," he pondered. "I don't get it. I mean, you guys destroyed school property. You could have been seriously injured. How the hell didn't you guys get a single punishment from Principal Brown?" Lisa suddenly turned and punched Caleb on the arm so hard, he uttered a somewhat quiet "Ouch." "What?" Caleb scowled at her as he rubbed his arm. "Did you want him to get expelled?" Lisa growled through her teeth. "N-No. No, Ofcourse not," Caleb stuttered as he moved his eyes from Lisa to Trevor. "It just a bit strange, that's all. I don't get it." Just then, someone walked out of one of the classrooms and the teens turned and saw it was Lance. He paused when he saw them, before he hung his backpack on his right shoulder and then turned away and walked straight for the entrance. Trevor kept his narrowed and suspicious eyes on Lance while he walked way as he finally replied Caleb's statement. "Yeah," Trevor said. "Me too." |

My people, what's up? wetin dey happen. Sorry for the delay. I had to attend to a crisis. You know a life dey be nah.... anyway... let's all head back to Kentworth High and see what happening. Chapter 27 Trevor A few days later, Trevor didn't see Lance at all while at school. It was a Tuesday and Trevor had not seen him since thier conversation with the principal on friday last week. Even yesterday, which was monday, they were supposed to have had Algebra together, but Lance wasn't in class. Trevor didn't have any classes with him today, so he couldn't be sure if Lance was in school or not. As he pulled out his textbook from his locker, he was slightly surprised at the fact that he actually gave a rat's ass about where the slime ball could be, or what he was doing. Trevor set his eyes on his Algebra text and dropped his shoulders when he remembered the announcement Mr. Decker had made about the test coming up tomorrow. "Bleep," Trevor hissed to himself. He felt even sicker when he remembered the Algebra assignment that was also due tomorrow. Trevor turned his attention to the school entrance down the hall and held himself from flinging his books and just dashing out; runaway from everything. The teachers, the fights, the school work, ......and the bet. It was all to much for him. "Hey you," Lisa's beautiful voice made Trevor turn to her pretty smiling face. Nadia and her boyfriend, Aaron, where standing not far behind. "Hey," he replied with a sigh, relieved to see her, before he leaned forward and kissed her. "You okay?" Lisa backed away and studied him after the kiss. Trevor exhaled heavily before lifting his hands and raking his hair with his fingers. "Yeah. Not really. I mean....I don't know," He was almost groaning. "Aw," Lisa cooed with furrowed brows as she cupped his handsome face in her palms. "What's wrong baby?" "Nothing really,"Trevor replied. "Just that I've got a lot on my plate." "The bet?" Aaron chuckled. Trevor immediately gave Aaron a death stare. "Not just that," he hissed through his teeth. "I've got tests and homework of which I have no clue on how to ace." "Dude," Aaron shrugged with a smile. "Just ask your boyfriend for help." Nadia immediately burst out with a laugh and Lisa spun and punched Aaron in the stomach. "Ouch!" Aaron yelped with laughter as he held his belly. "Sorry. I'm sorry, okay." "I'm pretty sure his not going to help me,Aaron," Trevor glared at his friend. "You could just try," Aaron shrugged, but then held his stomach again in defence when he saw Lisa turning and narrowing her eyes at him. Before Trevor could give a reply, the entire hallway erupted with the startling sound of the bell. The students in the hall started to hurry; their paces increasing in different directions, until the hall was almost empty. "Come on guys," Nadia sighed as she moved away from the group. "We've got to go." Lisa reached up and kissed Trevor, before she pulled back from him with a cute smile and began to walk away. "I'll see you later," she said. "Okay?" Trevor nodded in response with a wry smile on his face. "Let him help you, Trevor," Aaron leaned in close and whispered heavily beside Trevor's head, before walking away. Trevor watched his friends leave and suddenly realised Aaron was serious....and somewhat correct. If Trevor could get Lance to help him with his test and assignment, he would have killed two birds with one stone. He would have gotten Lance to trust him enough for him to win the bet, and he would also ace his course. Trevor suddenly saw a glimmer of hope in his conclusion as he closed his locker and started walking to class. He just hoped the would not end up fighting again today. Trevor walked through the door of the Algebra class with his eyes darting from one corner to the other, hoping Lance was in class today. When he spotted Lance on his usual seat, he felt slightly astonished at his relief. He was also relieved that the seat beside him was empty. The skinny boy with thick glasses wasn't in class today for some reason. Trevor quickly walked over and sat beside Lance. Lance didn't even look up from his phone that was held before him. Trevor darted nervous glances at Lance, afraid to start a conversation. He knew Lance wouldn't say a thing, but he realised he didn't have time and that Mr. Decker would walk into class any minute now. "Hey dude," the word seemed to fly out of Trevor's mouth. Lance said nothing. He kept his eyes on his phone without a single reply. Trevor turned his eyes to the ground, clenched his jaw and exhaled. Then he looked up at Lance and moved a bit closer, as if he didn't want anyone else to hear what he was about to say. "Dude, listen," the desperation in Trevor's voice was clear as day. "I really need your help here. Okay? I..I don't want to fight. I've got a test and an assignment I know nothing about and if I don't pass them, I know i'm in trouble. Come on Tiffin, help me out here. please." Lance quickly turned to face Trevor and it was as if the last word, "please", was all Lance had heard. It was as if that what had captured Lance's attention. Lance looked a bit confused as he stared at Trevor. His face was so blank, Trevor didn't know what he was thinking. Trevor kept his eyes on Lance's face and for the first time, noticed that Lance's eyes were green. Lance looked back to his phone without a word and Trevor dropped his shoulders in defeat. He turned his attention back to the front of the class just as Mr. Decker hurried in with a "Hey guys." Trevor felt sick to his stomach. He was definitely going to fail this class. He wasn't going to graduate. Oh God. "I'll help with the assignment," Lance's voice seemed to strike Trevor like cold water on his body. "..and with the key areas to study for the test." Trevor turned his wide eyes to Lance as he felt a smile tug on his lips. A smile he couldn't seem to hide. "Re-really?" With his eyes still on his phone, Lance shrugged in indifference to Trevor's reaction. "Yeah, sure." He replied. Trevor reached out and patted Lance's shoulder twice. "Thanks a lot man," Trevor uttered. "I really appreciate it." Lance seemed unmoved by Trevor's gratitude. He lazily turned to face Trevor with a mischievous smirk on his face and replied. "No problem." |
