Houston needs to score besides Harden doing everything. That's why they won't go deep in playoffs, second round at most.
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:34am On Mar 23, 2019
Do you know why Harden has my MVP vote? Not because of the numbers he is posting but the fact that he does not sit games out. Unlike others, especially in a tight MVP race, he wants to play every single game, no matter the opponent and to me that is important.

At this rate he is the MVP and he deserves it. Without Giannis he would have been the 2nd Unanimous MVP of the NBA. Good thing for GSW though. All that energy expended will count when the playoffs come.

I know we are all thinking it( at least I am after harden latest 61 points) . Who is the best player in nba right now?

Hell yeah, cause Lebron is no longer that player. I still will pick KD over Harden and Steph cause the durantula is just an offensive powerhouse who plays elite defense. While Steph Harden are extraordinary in offensive output their defense can be said to be good not elite

Yes Harden is hot right now but I'll take KD. Imagine KD was attempting 24.5 shots per night. KD is the best player right now, Harden is the hottest.

sheesh!!! Kd would set the nba on fire. The fg and efficiency would be higher than harden, because he's practically 7 feet and can shoot over anybody. But harden has been otherworldly!!! Can kd do this on a nightly basis? The conditioning and the agression to pull this off?(kd has been know to be a bit passive, not having that mamba mentality-"go get it mentality". Kd has the skills, and he's a better overall player, but am not sure he can pull it off

am a Steph guy all the way, but I doubt how a steph-harden comparison would look right now and kd? Hmmmmmm...we are all in awe of harden and what he is doing right now. one of the greatest takeaways for me about this season has been that harden has made me numb to 50 point explosions. It has become the norm.

Totally agree, Harden's usage rate and shots taken per game maybe high, but the fact still remains that not a lot of players can do this on a nightly basis and still remain as efficient as he is.
Re: The NBA Begins by donlittle25: 1:28pm On Mar 23, 2019
KD when Russell went out was incredible. It was buckets everywhere. He has that mentality. He just knows it won't win him a trophy. You will get tired when playoffs come around. Look at garden for the past how many years?

kd mvp season? He did not do it to this extent. He avg 32 ppg. I know his shooting splits was better...50/39/90plus shooting from the free throw line, but what harden is doing is uncharted territory. Avg 36.5 ppg? And clearing above 6 rebounds and assists per game....smh
Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 2:25pm On Mar 23, 2019
The question is "who is the best player in the NBA?" If you say Harden, fine. But no one is asking you about who is currently the hottest player.

But wait!! KD doesn't have the killer mentality, it's Harden that has it. LMAO!!
Re: The NBA Begins by donlittle25: 3:02pm On Mar 23, 2019
We have to take into account that the game has changed vastly now from few years back.

Game is more high tempo. Playing in the D'Antoni system gives Harden an Edge. Defense can be non existent till playoffs or high caliber games.

Still it's just 4PPG more than KD.

Lonzo Ball.

I am wondering if this shoe is affecting his legs too?

Was he injury prone in college?

Re: The NBA Begins by donlittle25: 3:13pm On Mar 23, 2019
32 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.

This was Kevin Durant mvp season.

My guy can average 40 if he was playing under Mike
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:36pm On Mar 23, 2019
It's getting harder and harder to argue Harden's MVP credibility right now. All that's left is for him to have a monster post season and what we would be arguing about is if he is the best player in the game.

Sometimes it's easy and probably correct to say this style is not sustainable but how else can the Rockets win right now? They won by 5 and if you watched the game you could tell the Rockets needed every single bucket. If you don't have a reliable second scorer then you just have to drop 50 if need be.

can't we just give credit where It is due? Am no harden fan...all the getting to the free-throw consistently and flopping sometimes gets to me, but have we seen this kind of numbers in the modern era? Steve Nash played in a d'antoni system and it was not this amplified. I know... different era, but I don't care who you are. You would have a very hard time replicating or getting better numbers than this and they are winning too.

Lmaooo on a serious note I hope this kid does not end up catching depression. His life would have been so much simpler if he wasn't a lottery pick burdened with having to play in Hollywood.

If he were a midround pick in a smaller market he would not have had to deal with all this pressure which his game just isn't built to handle because of the shortcomings

I don't even understand this. It's not blasphemy again or something that would cause an uproar if you say harden is the best player in the game. And agression is different from killer mentality. And I did not say kd does not have the killer mentality. I said he has been known to be passive sometimes which everybody knows. KD was basically scoring champ 4 years in a row, if he didn't join golden state he would have at least 6 scoring championship now. Mehn! We have forgotten he was the slim reaper. Passive? Nah! Even in the first NBA finals run which okc lost, kd averaged 30+.. Mehn! KD is the truth..

bro, I did not say he was not. I don't understand why am being miscontrued. What has been the one knock against kd? He's sometimes not as assertive as you would like sometimes . Having the 4 scoring champs really just underlines how great he is. We are so used to the best scorers having that domineering attitude(Kobe and mj) and he does not and he's been awesome without it. Always getting his points within the flow of the game(which is better) than hijacking possessions and stuff. P.s hes never like the name "slim reaper". I expect KD to takeover the game from Klay and Steph? U think this is the rocket team with Harden and CP3 and a bunch of farmers that can't shoot for shit.
