Ah please kindly return to the country on the date you indicated.

Don't start denting your record with overstay. You will be shocked the lasting effect it can have on you.

Facts you can't argue with:
1. When applying for the Visa you indicated clearly your entry and exit.
2. You may also have your flight tickets and hotel booked to cover the dates for which the Visa is valid.
3. There is no unforeseen circumstance except adverse health effect like an accident that would warrant you overstaying and that is another complication on it's own.

Now that they have trusted you with a little (5 days) why not come back and relish the experience. Tomorrow when you need 10 or 15 days for valid purposes, you will have a good track record that can serve as evidence to your being a responsible traveller.

Hi All,

I would be glad if anyone could advise on the procedure for passport withdrawal as i urgently need my passport by next week for a very important personal use.

Is it possible to have my passport within two days of making request?

Does this have any negative consequence if i decide to reapply? Please note that my application for study permit was submitted on 7th December 2018 without any decision yet.

Thank you.

@Crew,
if what you wish to do with your passport is not that serious kindly wait a little on or before 7th April you will receive your visa.
Withdrawing application does not have any effect at all. It takes 2 days anyway, but at times might take longer. Life has seasons...
You can also demand for your passport whilst your application would still be in process. All you need to do is to tell them at vfs the type of withdrawals you wish for not to cancel the processing but to have your passport for an important...once they reach decision they will call you...

Thanks

@ Jubrilar,

There is nothing like VIP... except an 'agent'...

The Vip you are referring of which you only paid 10k that is for vfs premium lounge and it has nothing to do with your fast track applications with the embassy only to reduce your stress from those 250/300 daily applicant waiting to be serve...

Let us always say the truth so others can learn and find this place safe.

The consulate are always here I've seen them...

Thank you so much for this honest advise. I have decided to meet up with my 5 days validity visa. And will travel back on the expected date. Thank you.

Please guys who has any idea on how to apply for SA business permit, please it’s very urgent. Thanks

Are you in SA already or Nigeria?

If not in sa look for someone to register a private business for you then sars certificate then a physical address proof(to register a business is cheap not that expensive) If you wish I can also help you with registering a business name & sars or still you can google for agents in sa doing so.

The minimum amount for those inside sa for business permit is R5m, you can have this amount in cash or in any form. But i dont think work and business permit re possible in sa... apply from home.

but if you apply from home, you dont need that 5m rands

visit vfs nigeria site for other documentation require then you have to wait for 6 to 8 weeks.

I want to believe so too. I guess its just to get you off the queue. However, the several people I saw using the premium lounge already have their visas in 2weeks. Saw some on of the guys Social media already in Guateng.

It is actually possible to extend your stay within the validity of your visa if you have a very good reason to do so. All you have to do is to go to the immigration office and ask for an extension. They will direct you on how to go about it.

Many thanks for your prompt response and advice.

I wouldn't have been bothered if what I need my passport for is not that important. To be frank, I can not afford not to have my passport on or before Wednesday next week. By implication I need to formally request for my passport on Friday or Monday.

Since you advise that it is possible to have my passport without necessarily cancelling my application, I think this is the best option for me to opt for.
However, I spoke to VFS guy today but he made it known that once my passport is withdrawn, I would need to reapply for the visa.

In this regard, where will you advise that I go for passport withdrawal process? VFS or South Africa embassy in Abuja?

Thanks in anticipation for your advice.

Blessing.. no body gave false information here . Fine! u may say the VIP referring to is for premium lounge which cost 10k extra at vfs....what I know is that my visa was processed within two weeks. Note: I never mentioned anything like agent from all my conversation

Hello guys in the house. It’s been a while I came to this forum. I started here 5 years ago when I was looking for all necessary information to help me apply for my study visa and I wasn’t disappointed. I got a lot of assistance reading through different ideas and contributions on this page. After two study permit renewals, I got my PR and ID last year to God’s glory.
With regards the issue of delay of processing permits, sometime in February, SA high commission said they were having technical issues and visa application will take longer than usual http://www.vfsglobal.com/southafrica/nigeria/news.html. Kindly be patient guys and wait. Hopefully, you’ll all your reply soon
I’ve renewed my study permit twice how did you get permanent residency ?
