I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist currently working in the UK on a fixed term contract. I will like to know if there are opportunities to work as a Medical laboratory scientist in T & T. I have been looking for how to apply for visa from UK but don't seems to get a clue.

@Frank94 Any idea?
yes you can work here as a medical laboratory scientist,and the best options for you is to apply for T&T visa at the T&T high commission in London.... when you come here,you apply directly with the ministry and hospital involved...come with your work references and you may also require some documents from Nigeria.....

I did not get you. Is it just a visit visa or there is a special visa I need to get for this purpose?

you need a working permit before you could work here genuinely...I was advicing you to come here with tourist visa if it's possible for you because your close and no longer in Africa and flight ticket won't be much....it's much easier for you to come here and process the work permit for your self because I don't think any one will be ready to help unless you have a relation here or a very good friend who's a doctor or in medical field...And also be ready to leave the country and come back when your working permit is ready...make sure you have you bond fee of 28,000ttd ...Go through for more info http://www.immigration.gov.tt/Services/Permits/MinistersPermit.aspx

OK, Good. I just read this long thread of 10 pages right from Page 1. This is my first time to comment on an 'unconcerned' nairaland post/thread as I am an observer only. I am currently in France and I DON'T/NEVER wish to travel to the Caribbean nor Trinidad, but the main reason why I am writing this is to pay a respect and stand an 'ovation' to Mr Frank94. I cant even believe you are a Nigerian. You have been on this thread since 2013. What the f*ck!! And you are still consistent and still pouring information and polished advice for the money risk and how to's of Trinidad and Tobago. Mehn you are one in a million. I sympathise as you were seeking advice at page 0 and only one guy (seunny4lif) was there to answer you completely, now you are in T&T and you are coping. You have made it already bro. God has blessed your 'hustle'. You are different, I have never seen someone like you. I envy your courage, determination and honesty!!! I voluntarily help people to with information to w/African states on other threads, but common, you have been here since 2013. That's crazy 5 years!!. you are too much. I doff my cap and bow in respect. You deserve 'anything'. I just want to say 'God bless you for being different'.

However, Mr Originalsly, I respect you a lot . Right from the threads about U.S.A smiley I know you help people with good info too. But you were at first skeptical about frank94's issue on page 1 (which you shouldn't have been) but thank God you quickly admitted he was special and he mad it. So you changed the game stylishly, kudos. I understand.

Nevertheless, May We All make it in Life both from home an Abroad. let's learn from people no matter how stupid they sound at first, don't judge!

Once Again, Mr Frank94, You deserve everything, God bless.

Best Regards.

Religious permit only gives you the privilege to work as a missionary here and also easy to switch to fixing your residency if you get married to T&T citizen..with Religious permit your entitled to open up a business here do a low grade job...Bond fee of 28,000TTD is compulsory before you get the missionary permit...Any church here in T&T can file for you and process the missionary permit on your behalf because each pastor of any church is entitled to bring 2 or 3 people each year I'm not really sure of the numbers involved...Missionary permit is far more better and reliable than tourist visa...

The only flights that go through panama city are the ones in air alliance with copa airline like Ethiopian air,Turkish air, SA,and others...and it's only Copa air that will fly you to panama city when any of this airline I mentioned stop at Brazil,(transit) then you continue your journey with copa air to panamacity to Bridgetown to pos T&T.This route is for people without transit visa...yes I accept pm..

@Frank94
Kudos for the good job you're doing. Am newly appointed Professor to UWI from Nigeria and will relocate in a few months time. I am bothered about the supposed high crime rate in such a small environment and also what are the options for my wife as per job. She is a trained secretary with masters degree in Communication Arts. Or is it better she goes into nursing. I will appreciate your advice on the above. Thanks
Re: Socail Visit Visa To Trinindad And Tobago. by Adesquare1992: 7:19pm On May 06, 2018
Hello Frank,

Thanks for all the comprehensive and blunt advice you have given so far,describing you as an altruistic person isn't enough to describe what you have done so far.

Staying back in Nigeria to invest the required amount to come over to T&T isn't a bad advice,to be honest with you,it is the honest truth. I would have prefer staying back myself,but,at a second thought,considering the economic situation in Nigeria and the pessimistic recovery rate in the nearest future,the happiness and future of my unborn kids and family becomes paramount. Relocating outside Africa isn't always about what "I" stand to benefit,but how well I build a future of my family...Nigeria cannot guarantee such for "some" of us for now,maybe tomorrow,I don't know. The rate at which Nigerians travel via land speaks volumes and only affirms the hardship in Nigeria. While some are doing fine in Nigeria,few are doing fairly fine and the rest struggling to survive,travelling out of Africa-Nigeria becomes inevitable.

Travelling out of Africa with the hope of making it is a risk,most of us don't even know what awaits us,while a handful have families and strong connections across Africa,alot of us with the aspiration to leave have nobody except information from people like you and God.

I have a B.A in philosophy from Obafemi Awolowo university. My course isnt considered a professional course which is why I am going to ask the following questions:

♡Are there SHORT professional courses like nursing that I can apply for?
♡If question one is available,which of the universities /colleges offers them at an affordable price?
♡I don't intend staying long in T&T before relocating to a better place,how can this be achieved after completing No2 if it is possible.

Thanks.

It baffling some still asking about migrating to T&T via visit ,schooling to working (esp Medical line) over and over even to ticket booking. Frank has taken time to explain the step One after the other. Many like to be baby fed.
Visiting
1. Get an invite letter from someone residing in T&T
2. Apply at their Embassy in Nigeria with a good account balance
3. Book for an hotel for 3-5 nights (Not reservation)
4. Get your 506k bond money for hand ( per person)
5. Book your ticket with either Ethiopia or SA Airline or go to their office at MM upstairs ( To save less stress of transis Visa)
6 Have your BTA of $2500 or more
7. Let your host be at the airport to receive you to avoid stories that touches the heart
8. Use your sense at the point of Entry ( Even has given you enough WHITE LIES to tell d immigration Officers).
9. You can now snap picture with motivational quotes for those still in Nigeria
10. You can get factory work few days after arrival to sustain yourself and pay for accommodation for the time you get a better job.
Frank you trying!!! Whenever you enter Naija make we hook up you deserve 1 cold shine shine bobo from me.

pleas fellow nairalanders, I need your advise on this. I have some one in Trinidad and Tobago who sent me an invitation to come on a visitor visa and migrate there but i'm want someone to advise me as I have just 1.2m naira for this, so my questions is
1. Is Trinidad and Tobago a good country to go and hustle as I have bsc in banking and finance with no work experience
2. Is migrating to Trinidad and Tobago worth it
3. what is the possibility I will get a job that I can take care of me and some savings.
4 what is the best way to fix my papers once I get to TNT.
please I need your reply frank and thank you all
Re: Socail Visit Visa To Trinindad And Tobago. by frank94(m): 6:34am On Aug 25, 2018
Flight alone will gulp the 1.2million because I know your not coming with a transit visa.(1) Its good for those in medical line Doctor,Nurse.I don’t think your certificate will be of any use here unless your lucky to secure a teaching job which is very hard.So Security and construction job awaits you which can drain a life out of you.(2)For your case it does not worth it,try some were else or else you will regret forever bro.Do not let anyone deceive you.(3)The menial job you will get here won’t take care of your needs,it can only take care of rent and feeding and you will have little for savings. (4) you can only fix your paper through marrying a T&T citizen which the process won’t be an easy step to achieve because I know trini women very well.work permit and pastors permit,student permit included.

Thank you frank94 and many others too numerous to mention here for your spirited effort to put up this wonderful thread; to duly inform your fellow compatriot on the needful about TT. God bless you more bro IJN
I just got a conditional offer from UTT for MSc (engineering) in Petroleum engineering pending upload of all my official and supporting documents for final approval
I took time also to read this wonderful thread from beginning to the end.
I took note some Nigerians who said they got admit to study at UTT and would love to hook up with them such as:
@mukapaulo22
@otosa
@chimdilawaon
to mention but a few
I read mechanical engineering in my first degree and my uncle is willing to sponsor me.
1. I will like to know about job prospects in the oil and gas sector over there?
2. Also aside from bond, will my sponsor have to pay in money into my account for the immigration officers to see at POE?
3. I have also read that one can work night jobs but pls must it be only night?
4. Does one have to attend school everyday (mon-fri) though I had thought it should be just few times in a week so one can also have time for himself and other things?
5. Which countries from your experience can one enter as a result of his education at TT? I believe migration should be easier from there(I stand to be corrected).
6.I will need further clarification on accommodation
please let's keep this wonderful thread alive again!!!
Thank you all for your favorable responses
