Thank you very much for your input. I had followed all the instructions for unlocking the bootloader and yet for some reason it did not work. After doing a bit more research I found a post on the MIUI forums that suggested using ver 2.3.803.10 of the unlock tool.

That did the trick. Phone is now unlocked :-)

I used 3. And later use v2. Even creating multiple accounts still they gave me 360hrs
Hope after unlocking u did not lose your pictures videos etc

congrats, just wanted to inform you that bootloop is different from brick. If your phone bricks, it won't even come on at all, a bootloop is when your phone comes on, but its stuck in booting for one reason or the other

As far as customisations goes, AEX does it for me.

Performance wise ? syberiaOS (Reason why i haven't ported to another ROM in a while now)

RR is just there, nothing spectacular about it.

Haven't used others.

For whyred devices, I think Pixel experience PureCaf is the most stable partly because it lacks customizations.

Almost in the same bracket is kjasop with few basic features then followed by syberia.

Havoc has the most customizations you won't find in any rom on this planet grin
