Good day all,

From the scripts read here, am able to confirm that applicant(s) doesn't need to wait for 6-months interval before re-applying after (221g) denial. Especially when the applicant(s) has a close date to travel to state (not for childbirth), and the applicant(s) has an explanation he wasn't allowed to clarify during the last interview and to also clear the air on any bad notion that could have been documented against the applicant(s). Please house, hope the applicant(s) will not be assumed to be desperate for reapplying almost immediately (say 3-months after)?

Thanks to everyone.

Do you mean United Airline has started coming back to Naija?

Not really. United has a deal with Lufthansa same way BA connects with AA. Bubu don pursue UA na with their bad policies.

Please ca you advise if there is any other post related to this as this is the only post i can see on Rose Medical center.
Please see what previous post states I used Rose medical center back in 2016. There are cheaper options but I wouldn’t advise them due to current trends in visa renewal
Are they a cheaper option, or are thier other cheaper options to use?Does it mean you dont advise people to use them?I will appreciate more details please.

U can read my previous post. Used them in 2016.

He should go and try normal B1/B2 visa. He should explain why he's applying for visa, he should demonstrate his ties too cos I doubt if the VO will consider anything about you or your pregnancy cos anyone can claim anything.

Okay, what documents should he bring along with him? And ideally how much should be in his account? We are planning on travelling together, will I be able to go for the interview with him?

Hello house
I just finished submitting my ds 160 form. I want to proceed to book my appointment. The location on my ds 160 form is Lagos, but I would like to have my interview in Abuja. I have not made any payment and I am yet to book my appointment. Please let me know what I should do.

Please what do we do is previously refused date is after ur due date and regular is like a month before your due date. Pls advice

When booking interview there are two initial questions I think :

One asks if your previous application was refused within the last 6 months (forgive me if I've quoted the question incorrectly) I've heard if you click this you see far off dates or sometimes no dates at all.

The other says you were not recently refused.

Now let's think about it...

If you were recently refused, lets say 2 months ago (regardless of whether you were allowed to explain your case or VO was mean or they did not check your docs) you should choose the first option, HOWEVER if you choose the second option (which by the way, they wrote clearly there that if you lie you are misrepresenting)...pray tell....what do you think will happen at the interview...where VO has a record of your last interview.....?

This is my take...I may be completely wrong.....

If the DS-160 form has those command questions as you stated, then there's nothing applicant(s) can do than to do the right thing. Lies isn't gonna solve the questions and doubt raised in the initial post. Besides why telling lie? That is outrightly out of it!

My point here is when exactly can applicant(s) open the DS160 form? So as to get a closer date! Does the applicant(s) wait till its exactly 6-months before starting up a DS-160 or can applicant(s) start DS160 completion now and choose a date of appointment that would av been 6-months after last interview?

Thank you! I too believe that’s it basically.... I haven’t read a transcript so far of one who picked “REGULAR” deliberately and then had it all smooth going forward, I wait.

The right thing to do in my opinion is to pick the option that describes your situation, and just be open to whatever it offers.

You can start completing your DS160 at any time. If you do not submit within 30 days..I believe the data may be lost. You can always submit and book your appointment later.

Hello house, am so sad right now, my husband just got refused

I gave birth on 2015 using oakbend medical centre and Dr f was my doctor, fast forward to 2018 I renewed my visa and I was not called for 221g interview, and I also applied for my 2 other kids and they got the visa, we're planning to go for this Xmas vacation as a family and my husband decided to try again after the last year refusal (he actually wanted to visit network alone then>

To cut the story short,

Vo. Ur passport
Hubby. Gave him
Vo. Why u traveling
Hubby. To take my family on this coming xmas vacation
Vo. Do they have passport
Hubby. Hand it over to vo
Vo.ur wife used a medical visa
Hubby. Yes
Vo.Did she tell you she got 11000 discount and the hospital is not known for a good reason
Hubby. Wow.but we did not ask for discount that is the bill they gave her I made sure she paid, if the had given me the exact amount without discount I wish have paid it.
Vo. OK type type and type.
Vo. The last time u applied u wanted to visit newyork
Hubby. Yes. Wanted to spend 10 days of my leave so I pick New York .
Vo..habe u travel out for pleasure before
Hubby. No
Vo.so this time you want to visit Houston
Hubby. Yes.
Vo.type forever and next thing is denial

Am so confused now because I don't know if it was the discount that brought about thee rejection. Or no travel history.

If it's the discount, then why did they issued a visa in the first place. So angry

Will be taking the kids for Xmas vacation alone

i think the discount stuff gave reason for that refusal, please go alone and let your hubby forget US for now. This is a lesson for all of us try to embark on the missionary journey to stay away from those hospitals that gives discount. God will bless our pockets lets prepare adequately so as to avoid stories that touches heart in the future

Thanks

In my opinion, I don't think it's the discount because you already renewed even people could not. I feel it's your hubby's new (change of) destination. I think the VO either thinks you will have medical intent again bearing in mind you used Houston the previous time. I think it's best you all apply to UK (or another) first to have the Christmas vacation and he tries again later.

Exactly. It seems some people are now understanding the arbitrariness of the situation that has turned the Visa interview into bureaucratic racism. If patients showed their price quotes from the hospital before they embarked on their first journey and the Visa was approved, then why is their own criteria not enough when its time to renew? Patients have to have very precise documentation from a doctor experienced with this process with specific explanations regarding their price quotes otherwise VO's will use the lack of info as their excuse.

Hello house,
I'm being compelled to join this thread as I/ my family are in the same predicament as many on this thread. I have read quiet a few transcripts and I also want to share my story. I was given a U.S visa with my family early 2016. It was a general B1/ B2 Visa for the specific purpose of vacation. Long story short, wifey got pregnant and she delivered in HNWMC. I spent 2 weeks in other states for Vac and 4 weeks in Houston. I took my children back to Naija after 6 weeks and went back to the U.S to be by wifey's side.

I entered the U.S a week before wifey's planned c section. Immigration asked me, what I was there for again?? I said, my wife is having our baby. He queried? Is your wife a citizen? I answered nah! Then he stamped me another 6 months. Wifey gave birth in HNWMC and we stayed 4 weeks and flew back to Naij. We were to renew in 2018 via drop box then we got the dreaded 221G. There was a problem and my wife's receipt was not returned. Contacted embassy several times but no specific solution. I had to go with the kids for the 221G interview. We went for the interview and V.O kept asking after my wife and asked.. How long did you spend? Did you give birth? Baby's birthday? and why my wife is not there with us? I tried explaining my wife's receipt wasn't returned but she didn't buy it and denied us. I paid for another visa fee and went with wifey and the kids (yankee pikin wasn't there). On interview day, V.O went straight to the question..

Why didn't you declare your intention of giving birth in the USA? ANS : She wasn't preggy at that time and we informed the immigration officer at the point of entry she was going to have her baby there ( she checked her screen to confirm and asked for the baby's birthday and counted with her fingers).

Next question.. How much did you pay and do you have all your receipts? Ans:. Nodded in affirmation ( we paid) and total bill was $7500.
She said.. that's too small for childbirth in the USA. We retorted, we paid all our bills and have a zero balance and all receipts. She checked through the receipts and zero balance. She went inside briefly maybe to check a board or talk to a colleague. When she came back, she then asked after the yankee baby? We said she's at home and she does not need a visa. She said.. I know but some people still bring the child.. but that's okay. She stretched her hand for the white paper and I was already saying thank you ma, thank you ma.. Only for her to circle the Muri Okunola address and asked us to get an itemized bill showing the break down of charges. We got the itemized bill after 1 month battling with Shirley at HNWMC. Eventually we pulled through, got the itemized bill. Itemized bill had (this can not be used for insurance as patients paid reduced amount - NOTE -reduced amount not discount).

After thinking hard about it, I decided to submit the documents at DHL office without the itemized bill because I didnt like the reduced amount thingy and there'll be no way to explain to them. I only backed the documents up with a contract paper fom HNWMC that says, self paid patients will not be given itemized bill, only receipts and zero balance. After 3 weeks, status read denied. Now.. My question is.. Do i go with my wife alone or whole family or wifey alone to submit the itemized bill? What chance do we stand considering, other mom's who paid reduced/ discounted amount got denied? Maybe I should ditch them for now and go to other countries for vacation until USA re election? I know, this is all the handy work or Trump and this whole brouhaha started January 2018. My friend who stayed 5 months 3 times within 2 years got renewed oct 2017 despite giving birth and paying 4k (though he did via dropbox and wasn't called for interview). Thanks all ya.. I'll appreciate your responses.

I will so appreciate the response of anyone who used HNWMC and was able to renew. From the many posts here, I haven't read about anyone that got renewed using a hospital in Houston. Are all hospitals in Houston banned? Could it be, discounted bill patients will be penalized (maybe for some years or something and not renewed for some time)? You never know what this people are up to. I for sure know one thing... Not all qualified applicants will be granted U.S visa. They sometimes use something (less important) as a ruse for denial. From the many posts here' I think Mom's, who has paid 12k and above are safe. Yankee visa is not as transparent as the UK and Schengen Visa. I have never seen qualified applicants being denied UK visa. You'll most definitely know why the UK has refused your visa. Yankee is very shady in everything, even hospital billing method is not transparent. If you pay $50k, your Itemized bill will still have some sort of discount and I don't know why they do that? Hopefully, they'll get a new government next year. Congrats to the few who got lucky renewing and best of luck to those seeking renewals

It's a discount and you know that, you should have submitted it rather than playing hide and seek game.

I'm not sure reapplying will provide a different outcome, you can give it a go with the itemised bill

I used HNWMC, did Dropbox in December 2018 and got the 221g. Was asked for the itemized bill. Insurance discount was showing $33,000 and the VO had a big issue with it. I was adamant in my explanation that I had absolutely no idea, paid was I was told. Then in the end,God did it cos that’s the only explanation I have.
Then I have a good travel history and then I had the little baby in my hands that was barely 4 months at the time I went for my interview in January.

Hello everyone, here’s my story

My husband and I moved to the US in 2016 on the L1/L2 visa. In the course of our stay we started an IVF procedure that was mostly funded by insurance. Barely 2 years after our stay, we relocated back to Nigeria. So I went back to the US to have our baby (visa was still valid) but we had lost our insurance so I was a cash patient. My zero balance statement shows I had a bill of $56k and only paid $6,400.

Upon applying for a B1/B2 visa to go back for another IVF for baby number 2 ( I have frozen embryos in their clinic) the VO only pointed out how I paid almost nothing for my baby’s delivery. However, the contract I signed with the hospital clearly stated the amount I paid as being flat and had no discount. Also, I signed a financial Assistance Form which stated that I was offered financial assistance but I didn’t wish to qualify.

I have contacted the hospital where I had baby number 1 but they are insisting that their legal department cannot issue a letter stating that I did not seek or get any financial assistance.

We want to reapply, we just don’t know how to tell the story differently.

The story can't be told differently. Just pray you meet a V.O willing to listen to your explanation. They have your records which telling a different stories can be interpreted as misrepresentation.
