Not a positive news for SEPLAT PETROLEUM PLC.

Excerpts;
"The Nigerian government has approved the request to revoke the licences of six Oil Mining Leases (OMLs) and one oil prospecting lease (OPL), in the onshore, shallow water and deepwater Niger Delta basin.
The request was made by the country’s Ministry of Petroleum Resources. The assets are all held by Nigerian companies.

The acreages affected include OML 98, an onshore asset located on the western flank of the Niger Delta, held by Pan Ocean, a company controlled by the Nigerian businessman Festus Fadeyi; OMLs 120 and 121, held by Allied Energy, which has changed its name to Erin Energy and has now gone bankrupt; OML 108, held by Express Petroleum, but whose technical activities are managed by Shebah Exploration & Petroleum, a company owned by Seplat Chairman A.B.C Orjiakor and OML 141, held by Emerald Resources whose principal, Emmanuel Egbogah, passed on recently.

The only OPL among the seven is OPL 206, held by Summit Oil International, a company founded by the late Moshood Abiola, politician and businessman, whose victory at the country’s Presidential elections in 1993 was annulled by the Military."

Not surprised that that of TRANSCORP was spared. Things are been "reshuffled" around the oil leases. TRANSCORP will be one of the benefactors. The coy is amongst the favoured entities in the good book of the present administration.

NOTE: Just an informational piece. ...NOT to be interpreted as any sought of recommendation.

....and so I filled and sent my e-dividend form via mail to Cardinal Stone Registrar, they replied that I should take it to their office.
That's the kind of thing I was saying about Africa Prudential, everything was done online. It shows some of them still operates manually. This guy, gamaliel9 already said all, na to dey look registrar face now for me.

Essence or not, that argument is very important especially in the light of recent events. One thing I have learnt in the financial markets is they are all connected.
To me, those arguments on floating versus non-floating are tantamount to focusing on the symptoms rather than on the fundamentals of the problem which remain a combination of factors like infrastructural deficit, abysmal records on ease of doing business especially in the Southern States of the country, intractible power failure, hopelessly moribund refineries, extractive industry failure, etc which all result in our net importer status.

Cardinal stone registrar gets wahala too much.
After my bank uploaded my e- dividend form, they were still asking for bankers confirmation or transferred form. And to make matter worse, they will not accept a scanned copy of those documents.
I think they are just trying to frustrate people in processing their dividend so they can continue to sit on the money.

I agree, it's a case of being caught in the corner with any direction full of bloodbath.

One thing is certain, our economy is currently dependent on the price of crude oil and that is very dangerous to all of us.

You don't need to bother yourself. Go to their site, download the form and fill it. Ensure you put your BVN number. This is enough to verify who you are. That is what SEC wants them to do now. So long as there is BVN supplied by the person filling the form, it is left for the registrar to confirm it themselves.

Some registrars are very stubborn. Even when you explain to them, they will insist you do what they(Registrars) they told you.

I experienced the same issue with Atlas registrars (FLourmills) Eric moore .

I have done that already, they said my form would not be processed without banker's confirmation or transferred form.
I did the same for other registrars but they are the only one asking me for this document.

Where is their FY18 result?
This is evidence that FY18 is not fantastic.
Forget the holding structure camouflaging rhetoric.
The day FBNH has a fantastic result, they will be the first to release results.
They just want to use UNAUDITED (IMPREGNATED) Q1 figures to mask the share price.

This was the first question that came into my mind when I saw their notice.

Remember, they were one of the earliest companies to announce board meetings for FY 2018 accounts approval. They announced theirs in February and others who announced after them have since released their results.

Maybe the issue is their look book.

If dividend registration and payment were smooth, how willl regitrars make money, lets not because of our tasere dividend loose sight of the big picture..........e.g. First bank declare #2billion naira dividend, they transfer the dividend to First registrar to pay shareholders in their books, when the big boys have collected(nobody jokes with baba dem money) , the remainder say 30% goes to we the minority share holder, #600 million naira on the cheapest money market instrument yeilds #60million naira only on first bank..

This registrar will go to any length to make sure they hold on tenaciously to that money, you will fill forms both at banks and their office, woe betide you that your signature is irregular, you go hear wen..........

This reminds me of the paper work access wants diamond shareholders to pass through before they get their #1...Na onlh dozie money sure pass, the rest go hear wen......I am suprised no body has made mention of receiving the #1 alert........

Thats d environment we find our selves in

It is due to their inefficiency or act of frustrating shareholders. With BVN, the issue of identifying the genuineness of dividend recipients should not be a problem. GTL-Registrars is quite worst in this case I could remember what I passed through cos of ETI dividend and till date I am yet to be credited. After the issue of identification was solved due to the mail sent to them which SEC was copied the next grammar I heard was that I don't have dollar domiciliary account, therefore the paper warrant will be sent to me. But till now yet to receive anything of such.
