You don't need to bother yourself. Go to their site, download the form and fill it. Ensure you put your BVN number. This is enough to verify who you are. That is what SEC wants them to do now. So long as there is BVN supplied by the person filling the form, it is left for the registrar to confirm it themselves.

this will be nice and straight forward if only those registrar can comply . it will be easy for those outside d country.

I think the best way to solve the problem is for SEC to create a special account for all unclaimed dividends so that the registrars would have no need to delay or frustrate innocent investors.

As soon as payment date has past, all unclaimed dividends should be deposited in that account by registrars to be released only to investors on completion of the e-dividend mandate

The best thing to do is for cscs to update account info on the investor's database so that when you buy shares on the floor ur acc info will be sent to the registrars just the same way addresses and other info are sent to the registrars. This can be done through ur broker or investor goes to cscs office to do the update.
I dont see the reasons for all these wahala

I think the brokers and cscs already share such info. if not how did the registrars print dividend warrants with investors names and post to investors address before the e-dividend came about.

They do that but do not include account info. Am saying they should include the acc info. Provision should be made for acc info to be included as well

I will add just a few words to your suggestion:
Never approach these issues with emotions, take it as a game/war of attrition and enjoy yourself feeling you are frustrating them not to be comfortable imprisoning your money.
Consider your money they are holding like your captured troops.
I have personally being through with some of the most heartless and insensitive registrars, some started avoiding my calls and emails, but each time I EXCESSIVELY employed the tactics mentioned by you, I came out victorious.
I set reminders on my phone and laptop, anytime the reminders pop up, I will start my chain of emails and calls. On each call, I will make sure I drag issues and ask so many questions just to waste their time and print my identity on their minds.
Most times, after reading their replies that doesn't suit me, I will pretend I did not see the mails and return to the previous mail trail without their latest response to press on the same issues.
There was a registrar that had to call me and appeal to me that I should use a plain paper and write a letter with my bank details, duly signed, instructing them to pay me, then place my form of Identification on it, with an extra passport for picture clarity, then SNAP it and send to them. They paid me that same day. We completed the remaining formal processing later They were too frustrated and didn't need my extra heat!!! grin
They usually started the day with my calls/emails and closed the day with same. I have many lines (its not illegal)... grin
The last of my victims was Flourmills registrars.... grin

People should always remember that after going through all these to get your dividends, you will pray never to go through such again. So what you do is when selling off the stock when it is overvalued, always leave like 10 to 100 units behind so that your name will still be in the registrar's book. Otherwise you will have to repeat the whole process again later in years to come(presuming you sold all).

So once you get the bad registrars to add you to their books, always keep very minute units and never sell.

It shouldnt be up to two weeks. Like I said before, the delay used to come from NIBSS. Check if you receive any confirmation mail from nibss in your mailbox, if not you'll just have to take a drug of patience in OGG's voice. smiley
Please re-confirm from your bank to be sure they send it already.

I did that because that was how I was rescued from first registrars and Veritas registrar even GTL-Registrars which made them to responded but last week same was done I even copied nibss but nothing was heard from them all. The era of Gwarzo really put them on their toes

OK thanks so much

Registrars' misdemeanor is just not being treated as it really is: fraudulent!
Investors be suffering to get their hard earned money for ages.
I have remained stampeded from getting my dividends by Datamax, EDC, Flourmills & GTL Registrars.
Maybe a real legal threat with a solicitor's letter-head and stamp will do it.

This is KEY once you are done with a registrar in your life.
There was a day I bought almost ALL the stocks, including those that had millions of units on offer.
I sat down and was just buying, after printing ALL the e-div forms and filling them.
My photographer was also happy that day.
When I reached the bank with the forms, the guy at the desk who is a friend, was perplexed! I told him to do his job, that is why GTB is my bank, for efficiency... grin
I sacrificed a whole day for this. I even repeated the forms of those registrars that the companies did not declare dividend last time... grin
My portfolio is looking very messy, with several 5units, 10 units, 50 units, 100 units etc etc.
At times I see dividends of N13.28, N29.02 etc and laugh... grin
I have promised myself, never to sell a stock down to zero units even if the CEO pursue my GIRLFRIEND.... grin

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 12 APRIL 2019

MSCI Nigeria on 11 April 2019 has jumped head long into the market buying a number of shares across the market, bulk of the purchases were banking stocks Sterling, GTB, Zenith bank etc. Access bank as usual was sold. No big surprise, as anticipated rising oil price will draw attention of big money to oil producing companies, thus the minor bull likely to continue for some few days.

You dont need to have account with UBA before they can process your dividends na.
Just print anf fill the e-dividend forms, since you're in Lagos, try and take it to each registrar's office. Get there before resumption time so you can be among the first set to be attended to
OR
Submit the form to your bank. The bank will verify your account and send it on your behalf.
