Couldn't have been better said. Our analysts here make it look as if it is 100% about FA. Like I have always believed even before I joined this thread; SA remains the best tool on NSE.

That's one lesson I have learnt about stock.

Remember how some talk negativity about Diamond, until we saw the goodies from Access.

The markets will always present opportunities for profits, but too much analysis create fear.

Just look at Unity bank,

With hindsight, you saw opportunities in Diamond. İf Access had not come, what would be of Diamond? Let Diamond release their 2018 YE results and let's all see what people had bought before the Messiah came to save it.

Like Warren Buffett would say: The rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield.

Rearview mirror=hindsight.

There is no attraction yet in the bolded, the moment I see it, I will buy. Zenith, JB, Fidelity and even Caverton with all the fundamentals are struggling to give capital appreciation. While Unity Bank, Diamond Chams, DF is making shareholders happy. I have since learnt to have a mixture of stocks with fundamentals and sentiments in my portfolio, so that in anyway the market goes, it is a win-win for me.

My dear, I will advise you to err on the side of caution. This is safety!

That is why I'm stock investment, if market falls that I can't come out, what should I do? I hang on and chop dividends.

But a stock that has not paid dividends for almost 10 years coming out to speak turenchi, I will quickly run once the exit door opens(especially for those trapped for 10 years).

And if both Access and Diamond banks results are combined together and release to the air.........

The truth remains that no stock is immune to disaster. We have seen stocks with better fundamentals ending up as Greek gifts.

Our call was to Chibuking who says he is a value İnvestor. İt wasn't to traders.

Traders can buy anything. We just cautioned a fellow value İnvestor.

You are free to buy anything you want to buy. Na your money.

Error that people often make is that some always mistake honest advise as not allowing people to make money. Chams only need 100k units to keep on appreciating daily. 1m put in Chams will give you 3m units at today's price. Will you be able to sell all the units when it gets to 50kobo. Please all man should buy what they want to buy ooòooo.

bolded is one of the reasons many pple reduce posting here. u give a honest advice pple go jump from nowhere attacking u. to make joke self they tag it as enemy of progress.

He isn't discouraging anyone from giving advices. He is only telling traders not to listen to FA talks. if you are a trader, try and heed. The value hunters know themselves. grin

This business has become an art for us. So we navigate cautiously with our brush strokes.

The bolded is understandable to you alone. What I am saying is very clear to those that understand the NSE and the Nigerian system: Case Study - the returns that Diamond of recent, has given is never comparable to what stocks with fundamentals will ever give you. Pitch your tent where you know it pays you. I have JB, Fidelity, Caverton, Transcorp in my portfolio, but once in a while, I dives into opportunities in stocks with sentiments and LUCKILY I have been making kills. Does that make a sense? Even Japaul that I bought way back still gave me 30% capital appreciation then.

I agree 100% with you, Sir. Meaning that we can play with funds we can afford to lose. Some of us do not have that type of fund. It doesn't mean that our portfolio is immune to losses. It will not be bad to have 10% of one's portfolio dedicated to playing kalo kalo on the NSE. But when you now want to use the whole of your 100% to make a kill, then na there the wahala go come.

I didn't buy dangote floor tigger brand when selling around N1 because of the weak fundamental but bought at N4 when the fundamental become attractive and I make my money.

I can buy Cham above N1 when the fundamental look very attractive in future time but it a no no for me now despite the sentiment surrounding the stock which I kown will increase the price from day one

On point. 80% of my portfolio is dedicated to stocks with fundamentals (to avoid high BP), while 20% is to chase those kalokalo stocks. Ironically, I have discovered lately that the kalokalo stocks have been the one reducing my losses in the so-called stocks with fundamentals. Summary of it is that, WE SHOULD NOT PUT ALL OUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET (Everything has his own time, Diversification could at times lead to success).

7 and 12.5% up for me respectively.

They were bought on the basis of FA, and dividends dey on the way.

Capital appreciation (shit) plus dividend (poo) together for me and my household lol

There is no find you can afford to lose. The very moment you set foot on NSE, it is to gain. No one came here with money to lose. İf someone came here with such money, the person could as well give to beggars. İt is only when they are in loss position, they console themselves with "coming to the market with money you can lose".

I came here to make money. Same way you did too. But I must cautiously play the game. I stick to FA because it works for me.some guys here are good in TA and I praise them. But the truth there could be delay in achieving what we want and it may not come as expected but that doesn't mean that the method doesn't work.

Best is for all to do what works best for them. FA, TA, SA, GA. Stick to it so long as it consistently gives you returns.

Another case study, which fundamentals does sterling have, if not sentiments that some indians are taking position in the bank? Those that know more than us are busy accumulating. The likes of yok MCSI and others. One day, someone will just wake up to discover that sterling price is competing with ETI.

JAPAUL even still gave about 33% about less than a month ago.... well after it was discovered by the public that it was a Greek gift. I think the problem here is that some folks here don't understand the investment philosophy of others hence they view their decisions as uninformed and irrational.

They have some foreign funds that have flowed in recently.

Plus they are one of the more innovative Tier 2 banks in terms of product and loan offering.

There may be one or two other unknowns (which is why I have 0 unit of Sterling)

But I can see another Fidelity story coming out from it if the next 8 to 12 quarters remain the same.
