Sorry I meant the pain and swelling have reduced no he did not carry out another test he actually just treated it like it’s nothing serious and prescribe diuflucan and some other drugs am not certain though .. no no discoloration whatsoever but if I put my hands on my stomach I can feel the inflammation like I said it’s not as severe as it was but am not satisfied.. I have searched the n t for natural ways to get rid of enteritis have not seen anything that helps that why o tabled it before you . PS: I did not take the prescribed drug
May I know why you decided not to use the medications prescribed to help your condition?
Also, you said if you placed your palm on your abdomen, you can feel this inflammation.
What can you say about what you felt?
The word "inflammation" is too general for me to grasp and a term I think you may be misusing or not knowing how to express.
Say your symptoms and if you have something I should see, post it.

I want to be well cleared about the age you observed your first menstruation? Do you mean 8 or 18?
Cervical discharge excess exudation is almost an intrinsic character with most adult female though copious cervical release during ovulation is also true. I rather would preferred having you tell me the characteristics, texture of your discharges during your ovulation experience.
Is it sticky to touch?
Does it appear firm on drying?
Is it transparent?

Some questions weren't answered. You may have to finish them over in case it was not left by intention.

My final questions are;
Do you experience hair growth in the moustache, chest area, back?
Since you observe a gain in weight, can you tell if this gain is general over the body or focally situated around the face, thigh and hip region?
Any stretch mark observation?

Hello, i don't know if I can ask this here because I'm really confused right now....
My Girlfriend and I agreed to do a D and C as she was 3wks pregnant, we used mistoprostol at first, she only felt pain and a little whitish discharge, there was no bleeding. We went for a scan and there was still something in her womb according to the scan and we were advised to do a D and C. We did the D and C in a popular private hospital where the doctor was well-known on the 16th of this month. The Doctor wrote out some drugs to prevent any infections and pain.

Every thing seemed fine, bleeding was light and getting lighter and there wasn't any pain. But since yesterday her breasts became heavy and today her legs seemed a little swollen. I called the doctor and he just said her body is adjusting and it will all disappear after a little while.

My lady is getting scared and I don't have any explanation for this.... Please if you're knowledgeable about this kind of situation, please give me your thoughts and advice. Please nairalanders, i don't know what else to do. Please.

What were the names of drug prescribed for her?
Does she seem to appear pale?
Loss of appetite?
Whitening of the nails?
Dried mouth?
Dizzy on standing up?
Has she been eating well after the D and C?
What is blood pressure now?

-Ciprofloaxin, Flagyl and paracetamol
-she does not appear pale
-her appetite hasn't changed, she still eats well
-no Whitening of the nails
-no dried mouth
-she doesn't feel dizzy
-She says its 60/100 as at Thursday
Although she seems fine and she's been going to work since the day of the D and C(she works nights).
She gets to go off tomorrow till Wednesday and actually rest. Thanks for responding.
She will be fine. Proper fluid intake and less use of salt. A little leg exercise may help to move body fluid from the swollen leg. Eating of vegetables and fruits is advisable.

By the way, did you mean to write 100/60 as her bp or 60/100?

Thanks so much... It's actually 60/100.
Thank you.

If you are sure, her diastolic pressure is not too bad but her systolic is damn low. This may affect her cardiac output as a result of low ejection fraction. Please monitor her closely and she shouldn't involve in any serious mental and physical exercise as to avoid further health complication, and straight to the clinic should it get worse than it is now.

Improvement should me that systolic should be increasing and diastolic going down to 80. If her diastolic keep getting >100,you may observe further leg swelling and changing in breathing pattern, weakness others.

Curvyprecious,

You may just be facing what I term, "late-start-early-retirement", like someone that has Poor ovarian reserve.Lol.

Don't mind me, please!
Kindly do the following let's see what may be around;
1. Pelvic ultrasound.
2. Hormone profiling of your reproductive hormones( LH, FSH, Estradiol, progesterone, prolactin).
3. Antral follicle counting(not much necessary).

My differential diagnosis could likely be:
1. Asymptomatic PCOS
2. Hormonal imbalance either with
i. low level serum estrogen
ii. high level serum estrogen
3. PID
4. No known cause or just a normal body changes.

Otunba.

Our duty here is really not to change her physical doctor's prescription since she was physical examined before therapeutics. She has done the complaint already and the doctor has cleared her off as her complaint were side effects of drug use. Considering your own side, it is hers to observe her condition if it is improving or not. It is normal in some adult female to have swelling of either the face or leg after D n C but it shouldn't stay that long. Ciprofloxacin is actually enough and to prevent shock from sepsis and the paracetamol as paliatives. In furtherance to this, all I have said regarding this should be followed. And if no improvement, she should be taken to the clinic immediately for proper evaluation.

If your leg ulcer refuse to heal perhaps due to high blood sugar or tumor infiltration or slow dynamics of venous flow or whatever the cause may be, you have to seek management from a university teaching hospital.
Clinic/Ward of relevance:
1. Surgery clinic/ward
2. Geriatics unit(depending on your age)
3. Diabetic health center/unit

I asked her further about the blood pressure, She had to confirm from the nurse, its actually 100/60.
Then it is okay. I only marvelled how come her systolic pressure could get so low as 60mmhg and not even an orthostatic hypotension( fainting on trying to stand) didn't occur.

Please be cleared with your information next time, a wrong health advise is as deadly as a badly done surgery which can happen in this case.

N.B- she can take normal salty meals as against former.
