There is no reason for Dany to see Jon as a serious threat. She knows that he is clinically honorable and would keep his promise to bend the knee even if it kills him. Also, he doesn’t have any hunger for power. He just wants to help people.

Besides that, Dany is lonely. She thought she was the last Targaryen, but now it seems that she is not alone. Why would she terminate the only family she has?

Finally, Jon and Dany are in love. If Dany wins the throne, Jon will be her king. If Jon wins the throne, Dany will be his queen. So it doesn’t really matter.

A good reason for Dany to give up the Iron throne would be so that she can go back to the free cities and rule there, where she is loved by all the slaves she freed, instead of staying in Westeros where she is only feared. However, if she plays a key role in defeating the night king, Westeros might love her just as much.

Dany go back to Mereen? I bet she wouldn't.

Bro, it's a series (or movie if you prefer that). If you are hell bent on looking for something wrong with it, you'll definitely see it.

For example when Joeffery was manhandling Sansa or when Ramsey raped Sansa, why did you write something about male dominance? why didn't you write something then when women couldn't be knights, or when Arya couldn't get her wish but had to succumb to the wishes of Ned to marry a highborn lord when she gets older. Why wasn't there outcry from you when Danywas sold to Khal Drogo? Why didn't you complain the ladies acting as whores were use anyhow by the men for their pleasure.

I said it before and I'll say it again, game of thrones is not for everybody. If you can't enjoy this lovely series for the way it is then go back and play ludo.

Well said. We noticed it a long time ago. A lot do not discuss it because they just want to enjoy the show.

Let's do small roll call of the remaining men :

Jorah - Love whipped, family heritage gone.
Theon - No pericarp, family position forfeited.
Jamie - Unmarried, disabled, intercourse with sister.
Tormund - Crass, ruffian, Uncultured, not much honour.
Tyrion - Half man, suddenly unsmart, big family name gone.
Davos - Honourable, bit coward, natural subordinate.
Jon - Has every good man thing, bent the knee, not bothered by any throne.
Varys - No balls therefore inferiority complex.
Sam - Smart, physically weak.
Greyworm - Very good honorable man, no pericarp.

All of them are subordinates yet they've seen more wars and had way more experience.
Almost perfect men like Tywin, Ned, Rob, Oberyn...long gone.

Funny thing is the story is still wonderful...show is still the best ever.

I have been reading through this thread for a while, I have been tempted to comment a few times but I mostly find my commentary a little too shallow compared to the work some of you guys put in. Kudos to everyone on that. I have most especially enjoyed ksslib because he reminds my of the kinda outlook I have lost to the rigours and tools of this world, he reminds me of a time when I'd view a scene or an action through a kaleidoscope just to get different perspective to the subject of discourse, the days where I'd look at my palms with binoculars, so as to get the tinniest of details. I am not that old in age(before y'all think dumbledore somehow found his way here but I am old in soul( I have the soul of an ancestor, probably that's why I was named Babatunde .

I just find it appalling, disgusting and find it as a heresy of gargantuan proportion, that some folks here think Sam is a coward, I have read that shit more than once on this thread and it nauseates me every single time. It's crazy that people think Sam is a coward because he can't fight and that's a big lie and I'd explain by listing the reasons below.

1) Sam was the first person to kill a night walker, I know y'all gonna say he didn't mean to or it was pure luck, but that still doesn't take our the fact that SAM WAS THE FIRST MAN IN MODERN HISTORY TO KILL A WHITE WALKER. For those of you who think it was pure luck, I can categorically tell you that you'd probably be so petrified that you won't be able to blink when you see a Wight, it takes bravery to even pull out a blade against something that's can't die, he was lucky that was dragon glass but he at least tried, we can start listing several great fighters who fell before night walkers. But Sam didn't.

2) He attempted and successfully cure grey scale. Even when he knew that he would probably contact it, I mean the last person who tried it died that should scare anybody including the bravest of knights, and it's not like he was a maester then oh. Just a random guy who was brave enough to take on something that no other person had tried in centuries. I just let this point slide and let you ruminate on it

3) He saved Gilly against so much odds, you might think that isn't much of an achievement but for an obese guy who can't take care of himself to try and protect a mother and her toddler. Haaa no be small thing oh, especially through a wintery region behind the wall which is considered as the most dangerous place in the series

4) He showed that he is mentally tough when he was at the citadel, a man who came with high hope of reading books and finding the solution to the urgent problem that the was about to encounter been told to clean out poop and do ridiculous things for months, lesser men would have given up but not Sam. He stayed and conquered.

5) the fact that he even volunteered to go to war against the night King says it all. Even though he knows he'd mostly likely does after 3 seconds. He still wanted to go there.

Cowardice isn't about how weak you are physically but how weak you're mentally. And Sam is in no way a coward IMO

Just because he lacks physical strength, skill and techniques doesn't make him coward.
It's just like saying Tyrion is a coward because he's a dwarf and can't fight much, or that girl that spoke with ser Davos because she's too little to handle a blade. Most of our favorite characters are brave to us because they have very exception fight skills, big body builds, dragons or amazing war strategy but Sam has survived in all he has been through and he certainly has been through a lot more than most other guys in WF right now, with his physical disadvantage and I believe he deserves kudos

I am not a huge Sam fan though, I am just trying to correct a deep seated misconception of many commentators here. I think Sam ranks in my top 5 bravest character in GoT.

GOT has been successfully in pushing this 2 agendas and I argued in my earlier post that it's becoming more obvious in the recent seasons.

Like you made mention of, all powerful male characters like Jeffrey, Ramsey, Little finger, Robert, The Khals etc have been portrayed as rapist, tyrannical, mysoginist or irredeemably corrupt. This is the aim of the propaganda; To portray men as violent, immoral, extremely dominant brutes with no moral compass. Hardly is any powerful male character portrayed as someone with good virtues. Ned and Rob fit this mould but both were killed off early. You also made mention of the fact that women couldn't be knights and that women were regarded as property. This fits perfectly in line with the aims of extreme leftist feminist propaganda: To represent the world as a Patriarchal environment that's anti-women.

In the extreme leftist feminist view, the world is an anti-female terrain controlled by powerful mysogynist men who regard women as their property. This is the view that was portrayed in the early seasons. Now what we are getting is what the extreme feminists regard as a solution to this world, that's why you have women given so much power at the expense of men. That's why women are portrayed as bad ass, strong and smart while men are portrayed as subordinate to women. The writers of GOT even take this agenda a step further by emasculating any male that is to have good virtues either by cutting off their balls, like Varys, Grey worm and Theon, making them disabled like Jaime and Bran, making them HALF-MEN like Tyrion or making them fat and physically weak like Sam. Like I said before, Jon is the only powerful character who possess good virtues but he is always demeaned for his height, not being man enough, his heritage or the fact that he knows nothing, and most importantly notice that he always says that he isn't interested in power.

If anyone thinks I'm just ranting crap then you really need to open your eyes and see. Movies & TV shows aren't just for entertainment purposes. They are also used as tools to shape the mass consciousness of the public & to push large scale agendas. This doesn't mean I don't enjoy GOT, of course I do, and I think it's one of the best shows ever made in terms of it's production quality, but all this doesn't prevent me from being able to identify conspicuous themes when I happen to spot them.

Don't mind those yeye guys who think they are smart but can't see something that's so glaring.

This is gonna be the most deadly war I would ever see in a movie. Imagine the dead are killing people and the same people killed rise immediately to fight the living. The dead army will increase while the living decrease. The only option they have to win this war is to kill the night king because those dead armies will continue to increase the more they kill. Which will be a very difficult task to accomplish.

Danny knows this, so I wonder why she had to make the statement "Last male heir," as if her gender in relation to Jon's is the primary thing that would make her unqualified for the throne.

I wonder too why she would add male to the Last heir. He's not the Last male heir rather he's THE heir.

Please explain what you mean by coward he is just been called one because he can't fight. And in the medieval times, that was the main perquisite for bravery. But bravery isn't just how well you can fight, it's how well you can conquer with your mind. He doesn't argue because that's the norm back then.

So would you call Bran a coward too just because he can't fight. And why do you think his colleagues in the night watch stopped calling him a coward
