its not a joke, i was in Canadaedufair in Abuja that was held last three months or so, there are many schools given admission without such requirement. They just want you to have the money and the admission is just within days. 6+mil for undergraduate and 2+mil for Masters depending on the school. I worked as a hired representative. if you need details an direct contact of some schools over there i can assist you.

I used to agree that Nigerians should not write IELTS since most people are taught in English. I wrote IELTS and made very high points. But a visit to the northern part of Nigeria made me understand why Europe and America may continue to insist we write IELTS.

But Embassy will still request for it anyway.
And if she is deny Visa by embassy, then her non refundable placement fee to the university is gone for good.

More than 60% population in SW can't speak English, More than 75% in SE can't speak English aside pidgin English which is not acceptable.

Believe m, there are some schools in Canada from where you'd get PhD or professorship and UI will tell you they don't recognize it. The fact that it's from Canada does not mean it'll automatically be better than all the schools we have in Nigeria. So if you're from UI and you want to go for PG abroad, your UI lecturers will tell you to ensure you go to a good school.

My friend already sued Canada at the Commonwealth for insisting on English test by Express entry applicants. I think Canada has had barrage of complaints regarding that. How can I be taught 16 years in English and you still expect me to write English test. I am so confident that I would do better in English language test than many Canadians. Arrant Nonsense!!!

I got my English proficiency from my school but i was told to go wrrite IELTS or PTE. I wish This my school in Australia will follow suit.The only thing holding me now.Voucher gotten but looking thru for suitable date so as not to have issues with my Employers.No test centre in the East.Either you choose Abuja or Lagos.No test dates for workers.Why are we marginalised like this? I don't like the structure of Nigeria.This Inequality is so bad.

I am not sure the school dropped IELTS for her. Most applicants can be very lazy when reading requirements. For a lot of schools in Canada Nigeria is exempt from the English qualification requirement because we receive our Education in english. I am always shocked when i see people saying they were required to write IELTS to gain admission. If you probe further on the school site you would see Nigeria as one of the countries listed as exempt. But on the initial application page it is usually stated as a requirement for applicants.

i have applied for a sch in south africa but they said i have to write NBT test i dont knw why they are doing this thing and wost part of it is that no where to write the exam here in nigeria.

90% of schools in Canada doesn't request for English test if you studied in English language. You will only present your proficiency of English language certificate which can be gotten from the school you studied.

It is often at a very low cost or free ( one A4 paper)... Just go to your school's senate building admin section.
