Kazeem told me that if I want to be using synthetic, I should buy tokunbo engine. But I after rebuilding i should continue with 20w50..... If I have the money, I would have gone for a tokunbo.

You don't need to use synthetic if you use American grade conventional

Hello experts in the house. Pls help clarify this for me. If a car's recommended engine oil is 5W30, if this car gets to Nigeria where there is no winter and I instead use 20W50, will this in any way affect the engine efficiency? I understand that the '5' in 5W is the oil viscosity at 0°celsius and the temperature here never drop that low. So why use the oil that was recommended in North America? Pls help me understand.

A 5w30 is a multi grade oil. This means that the oil has 2 temperature performance levels of low 5w (0w to 20w) and high 30 (20 to 50).

The fact that Nigeria does not have such cold temps for the 5w does not mean that the entire oil is not valid. The high temp grade of 30 is most important since a car would eventually heat up in less than 20minutes of cold start to between 80-100°c and stay there as long as the engine is running even if the ambient temperature is -50°c. If the 5w is invalid in Nigeria the 30 is valid from the north pole to the south pole and every where you go on this earth.

So just stick to the manufacturers spec.

There 2 to 3 1MZ engines
1MZ black cover fitted into sienna, old Camry pencil and old Avalon not for you.

1MZ with silver cover, this is a Japanese version fitted into Supra and MR2 not for you

1MZ with VVTi gold/polished bronze like cover the first 2 should be cheaper than the 3rd so beware

1 and 2 are interchangeable but 3 isn't. Your exact engine is the 3rd one in the pix

oga nurey u be boss. Na that second one i bought for my sienna. That engine na fire for fire. I tear and dust anything..

please
Someone said 150k another is saying 200k upwards. My Kazeem said I should bring it to him to ring.
Problem:
blue smoke and oil in spark plugs, not all the plugs. Travelled with it during the Easter weekend and it moves well.

I bought the second type for my sienna 180k. complete with all wire intact, with the kick and alternator... The engine na die. I dey dust anything moving on the road.

Few months ago I was in this shoe of choosing after getting my Honda and I'm so happy nd feel fine coz I got the exact Oil the manufacturer prescribed 5w20 synthetic oil tho a bit expensive more than those common ones but trust me the confidence that comes with doing the right thing is 100 percent and u don't even v to change it every month like those other cheap oils

the cylindrical aluminum part is called a drier receiver, the electrical part on top of it is called a pressure switch.

Oga Gazzuzz can the pressure switch be changed without having to refill the system?

on that particular model I will advise a 5w40 or 0w-40. That engine is prone to oil burn. Ensure you check engine oil levels regularly.

Ask

Good morning.I use Toyota Camry 2007,I observed that my traficators are no longer working(all 4),I called my repairer to fix it,he said it was the flasher,he changed it,and it was working again. The following day,in the morning I started the car,lol and behold it was not working again even till I got " to and fro " where I went that morning.Later in the afternoon,I started the car again to use,it was working. The following morning,I started the car again it was not working,I had to call my repairer back again,he had to change the flasher again, and it was working. This morning again it did not work while going out, even while returning it did not work.On getting home, with vexation I had to call my repairer to come fix it again, only for him to come, start the car,it started working again.

Intact am getting tired with this ,traficcators problem.I have observed that it doesn't work most often in the morning when I start the car to use,but often in the afternoon,it will work.
Please what could be the cause of this?
Also do you know the price of this " Flasher", new and Belgium?
Cos my repairer says, new one would not work for my car,and he has been using Belgium for my car.

Thanks.
