The same Benin I schooled for five years undecided

Benin is one of the worse cities I've been to, a city where you can't go out whenever it's raining, their drainage system is nothing to write home about undecided, there's no security..the only things in Benin are hotels, bar and clubs

What I am seeing here goes a long way to show that at times, pictures don't do justice at all.

Is it the Edo state I'm schooling in that even my villiage is finer than that op is talking about?

Yes, the state has the best road network as it was well planned, but what the roads look like is an eyesore.

My question is, why can't the state government work on the streets? Only major roads are tarred.

secondly, the lack of infrastructural development is second to none. Very impoverished state, then I begin to ask what the youths who trek to foreign lands do with what they send home?

Thirdly, unemployment rate should be highest in Nigeria in this state. Boys are mostly jobless or doing odd jobs, girls are selling themselves so they could eat and buy Aba clothes. Benz is the in-thing no matter the model. I don't look at them twice 'cause I know it's G.

You guys are just fooling yourselves here. G.R.A looks like Diobu in PH. That should say a lot about the kind of houses you'll be sighting. Worst state I've been.

Are those ones hotels? They are chalets in other cities. grin

They just need to tell themselves the truth. Poverty rate is high on the average, while birth rate keeps increasing. I can't even wait to finish school and stop coming to see things that don't motivate me.

Let me borrow their slang, the state na caste. grin

you stayed and school in a place for 5 years and still have mind to talk Ill about the place?

If Edo state is worse place as you described, that means your place of origin is cursed since there is no good university for you to study

Lastly, their people are very aggressive. Mind you, I have some Edo friends, but while on the road with strangers; they're always angry. No wonder some fly. their market is the worse place to be...marketing strategy is zero. Sellers are always ready to respond in ill manners.

I can create a thread about my experiences in the state.

we should start with a picture of your village. I'm patiently waiting...

You painted Rivers state a Mini London, yet, you abandoned their already forsaken Federal university.
I bet, you'd come with a sick reason?

You shouldn't go pointing fingers, when you've got 4 pointing back at you.

Benin city. In terms of structure

Bear in mind Edo state is the least funded state in south south.

To put that into perspective, delta, bayelsa receives 3x what Edo receives
Cross River State is the least
