What of situation when the man with a job becomes jobless after marriage, should the woman remain in the marriage? And what is baba's advice to jobless men seeking jobs in his congregation?
Many a times our pastors too talk from the flesh rather than from spiritual point of view. What is wrong in telling people to seek God's face in choosing spouses? If God leads you on a journey, he will make necessary provision and will not let you be stranded. Looking at worldly and ephemeral things in making life choices will always leave man stranded. Many fail in life because they give it a go alone and without God. People need to be open to God and allow him lead them in their choices in life.

You certainly sound like more of a real man of God than Adeboye and his fellow charlatans.

So what if he loses his job 2 weeks after marriage. The church has lost it
The man is saying the obvious truth...and those who are open to learning would learn from it....A man who loses job 2 weeks after marriage will get another job...He is not talking about one being a millionaire; vulcanizer, carpenter, painter, farmer, mechanic, mason, bricklayer, teacher, banker, civil servant, keke driver etc etc..they are all jobs. A man who wants to marry must have something doing no matter how small....My friend lost his job with Chevron 1 yr after marriage and he joined Uber.....In 2003 ASUU had issues in ABU and were owed salaries for almost 12 months, my popsi turned to farming (rice and beans) and yam business to take care of his family; he would go to Benue to buy yams and take it to Zaria/Kaduna/Lagos and sell...Adeboye is over 70 years and he is much qualified to advice the youth based on experience..he must have seen practical evidences/situations that warrant such advice (in order to help someone out there)...Moreso he has been married for many years with no issue of divorce, if the youth listen to the words of wisdom from elders they would fare much better!

The problem with the youth nowadays is that everybody wants to hit it big, no one wants to start small and so some ppl have chosen to remain jobless for many years waiting for that mega job....I have a friend who graduated with firstclass in Physics and got scholarship for masters overseas. He came back and couldn't secure a job so after 6months he started home lessons, jamb tutorials, waec/neco lessons, and undergrad tutorials..he did this for three years and got married with it before he got a lecturing job...

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has warned single ladies to avoid marrying jobless men.

Jobless men, he said, have the tendencies to use, dump and abandon such ladies.

Adeboye spoke on Sunday at the May Special Prayer and Thanksgiving service by the RCCG Throne of Grace, National Headquarters Ebute Metta, Lagos.

According to him, a woman should not marry a man that has no work “if not you will be the work.”

He noted it is not sinful for a single lady to politely ask any man proposing marriage whether or not he has a job.

Stating that women are conceived as helpmeets, Adeboye argued only somebody who has a job can be helped.

Adeboye, who spoke through the Assistant General Overseer, (RCCG) Personnel and Administration Pastor Johnson Odesola, said the man is key and the woman has only come to help.

“Whatever the woman does is a help. The man is a major director in the house,” he stressed.

He stated taking care of the homes does not rest on the woman alone but the man and the woman who has come to help.

Adeboye blamed lack of proper home training for most of the ills in society.

“I still remember when I was young. My father will tell me that this name is the name of my father. Don’t spoil the name. So I was scared to do wrong. I could not shake the hand of a lady until I was 23.

“Learning for any child should start from the home and parents should be their child first teachers.

“The wife and the husband are the main teachers who will teach and model godly character to their children,” he stated.

In his sermon, Adeboye, urged all Christians to strengthen their faith, saying there would always be a storm in the lives of the believers.

Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Otunba Gani Adams, who was at the service argued religion, is never the problem of Nigeria.

According to him: “It is sad many people believe religion is Nigeria’s problem, but in truth, leadership, not religion is Nigeria’s problem.

“For instance, I am a Muslim by birth. I grew up from a Christian background and as the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land and culture activist, I also believe in our traditional religion.”

because adeboye decided to be jobless when congregation started feeding him and his family since 35years ago. Why won't he address young people as jobless, 80% of stupid young men attending his church, donating their little funds are absolutely jobless

But if you decide to limit yourself to painting one room per month, Best of luck!

The painting of Canaan city was for the church it doesn't come all the time. So don't count that. The normal painters will be at home waiting for connections.
I have a painter as tenant when I saw how things are getting difficult for him I gave him one year free and adviced him to learn another thing.
Sometimes he goes out to hawk food on the road. So because he doesn't have a job but struggling to survive he shouldn't marry.
