Phew! That's good to know. Thanks for the clarification, I feel much better now.

Hiya Bracha,

Actually, regarding the post you highlighted, that was me asking a question regarding a challenge i was facing with my medicals, but i already got an answer offline so i decided to delete the post.

I will post the SOP template here for everyone to see...

My dear, i even went to the hospital today (IOM). The doctor confirmed that it was sent so i think the issue is from IRCC... Or maybe they sent me the medical request as a mistake... time will tell...

Schonebaby:

No it won't they will update it. You are close. Mine was like 2 weeks after medical update. Yours can be shorter than that since u're resuming earlier.
One more thing, you can call the hospital to confirm it has been sent. Is it IOM Lagos? I have the guy's number but I can't drop it on a public forum, and with the restrictions on communication here....
U can send to their mail or call the general line and pray they pick. But I'm sure they would have sent your results anyway.

Please when did they update your medicals to passed?

I submitted my own application with upfront medicals but they still sent me request to do medicals...

Hi sally.. when did you get a medical request?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 3:10pm On May 07, 2019
In what way(s) did the person say province of choice plays a role?

TheAfrikan:
YES....

So, I was talking about the study permit with a friend who is a Permanent Resident.

I was told that the Province you apply to study also plays an important role in your study permit application.

Can this be varied by others so as to educate new study permit applicants on the way forward.

Thank you....... smiley

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 3:15pm On May 07, 2019
Send a Case specific enquiry or email concerning the medical request. Include that you submitted an upfront medical result along with the application. I'm sure someone else will tell you how to go about it. The earlier you do so, the earlier your approval arrives by God's grace.

Please how do you know this? You sound so sure of this information you're giving out.

JustMellow:

Yes, it's a valid point. In each province the population is higher than most so IRCC (via the VOs) is also very cautious about this when issuing out visas.

There is always a limit to visa issuance by the VOs each year.

I think this could be possible especially if some less populated/developing province have more demand for temporary migrants. But this really need to be research further to serve as a guide for future applications

My sister's app was updated this morning to reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements. Without medical request. Please what's the meaning of this? She got the biometrics correspondence letter this morning also.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Schonebaby: 4:00pm On May 07, 2019
I submitted on March 14 via paper route. No update till last week 24th April, when I suddenly got my medicals passed and biometrics validity correspondence letter.
Approval - 7th May

The documents I submitted with the Imm forms:
Admission letter (Queen’s University; PhD)
Funding letter from university ( 25,900 CAD yearly)
I added my mum’s account of about 1 million....and added her fixed deposit certificate on second thought (2 million).
Her letter indicating support to cover my airfare cost + early settling down costs.
Mum’s passport
2 Previous Internship letters in research institutes
Previous passport and visa stamp (trip was for research purpose)
Posting letter (Npower)
Transcripts + Certificates
Paper publication
TOEFL + GRE score reports
Detailed SOP
Police report
Marriage certificate and Change of Name +husband's passport

That’s about all....I held on to Mark 11:24. I return all glory to God.
I really wish every TRV hopeful the best!
