This type of match is not good for a coach to judge his players, but the fact that Adebisi Saheed played 90 minutes is encouraging. She was good. Also, I am really happy for Uchenna Kanu as she bids to be the topscorer in the tournament.

I think the coach is doing great for a couple of reasons. He is developing a team that can take over from the Super Falcons. I do not mean a Falconets because we always had that but really picking young talents. Secondly this team is actually good enough to play at the world cup. They are hungrier, they need to prove themselves or reassert themselves. Nwabuku, Esther Sunday and Igbinovia have all maintained steady shirts at the higher level even before Oshoala and Ordega. Talents are discovered as the old ones fade unfortunately, most Nigerian coaches are scared to try anything new, you cannot blame them, the NFF are not so respectful to them. Believe me, Oshoala entered the senior team not because she was good but because of her emphatic delivery at 2014. Uchenna Kalu has always played for under 17 and under 20, why haven't they given her a tryout for the senior team? Confidence.

This team play more like a team and I understand the coach. Individually the main team probably (probably) has more talent and experience, but team against team in cohesion, this team will beat them. This team would have played better against Cameroon and would have beaten the SA regulation time.

Actually you're correct in the coach improving the team. When he came, he was trying to find his feet and bearing, and the AWCON came too soon. He had to draw up an Excel list of all our players he knew and the potential ones. Now he is giving them opportunity to prove themselves.
This team though cannot beat the senior team, but they will drag them. This is because the coach has worked with them for longer. You can see the pattern and discipline clearly.
Ologbosere for example, is a good defender but indisciplined. Today, her touches and positioning were tidy. See how the coach eased out the likes of Jegede and co and brought in younger players. With this action, I can say we will win the next 3 AWCONs with good players coming through. Chidinma Okeke was a solid defender!

WAFU ends next Saturday. I hope the girls move directly into closed camping for the world cup. As the coach has said he will pick about 9 of these home based stars, I am pleased. For me, he should pick, 2 goalies (Nnadozie and Alaba), Chidinma Okeke, Nwabuoku, Bokiri, Uche Kanu, Igbinovia, Saheed, and Ogebe Alice. They've been stand outs.
I am also very impressed that a Nigerian team is so tactically drilled that you could almost use a ruler to draw the formation line.

I already love her, but who can she really bench Oshoala, Oparanozie or Ordega? Most likely Oparanozie because either Oshoala and Ordega can move from the flanks, but with Oparanozie now the captain and the coach with so much confidence in her, I believe Uche will always be subbed. What then happens to Umotong, Courtney, Ihezuo and Chinaza. Ajibade can easily switch down to the midfield.

I think Alaba Jonathan for sure is supposed to be the Superfalcons 2nd choice, she has proved that countless number of times. even with her average height she's perform better than most taller goalkeeper.. the coaches knows the best for now.

As for Chiamaka Nnadozie she's growing fast, i think she's is the tallest among them all. Two years from now she might be Superfalcons number1
