I said Young is highly unpredictable on the left side. Means a defender or a marker will find it hard to stop Young because he can go both sides dangerously. He passes well on the left, goes forward well there, goes behind the defence line like Martial does and can cut back to whip the ball into the box targeting far post.

we can't really say tottenham has had a peculiar style of play this season due to their injuries,with some players playing in unfamiliar roles.against ajax,poch initial setup.was 4 defenders,1 holding midfielder,1 cmf(sissoko),eriksen as amf and 3 ss(son,moura,dele).when he saw the tactics wasn't working,he introduced a cf(a post player ,llorente) and took off the dm wanyama,forcing eriksen to drop back as cmf and they initiated long balls against the initial short passes.

it did pay off,but ajax could have tighted it if they had played very compact with a very high defensive line or they had double marked "llorente" as he became the new creative outlet unlike eriksen. beautiful tactical switch i must say.

Taking off Wanyama and bringing on Llorente was a change of formation, playing long balls as against trying to play through a congested midfield was a tactical switch, it helped them bypass that solid Ajax midfield.
