Thanks for the advise! I will put that in mind. My sister could be so lucky, she did same when she came in 2016.

She got in Feb 2016 with Bsc computer science. And change DLI to the poly with Co-OP however she work from Feb/March till she resume and was able to raised 5k from her McDonald. Rounded off her program in December. Applied for PGWP in January and just got 3 years last month. Meanwhile, this Summer she is working with the construction firm she did her co op.

In July her express entry score will be 459, then it will be a total of 3 years work experience where 1year will be Canadian experience and 2 year she was able to claim from Nigeria during her OND with a construction company.

From her Express ENtry profile, with her CELPIP score and adding that she already have 3 year- she met the FSW and CEC with 459.

You might ask why she had that high score.

Age was on her side - got the max score
2 Diploma - one OND that has already gone through WES and another diploma from Canada (she completed in December)
she got 15 marks from sibling in Canada.

My advice for those that already have work experience from Nigeria, you can always give Express entry a short, expecially if you still have age on your side, if you find ielts complex try CELPIP etc.

Thanks for the Advice

Nice @lassky

lassky:

In my own opinion, I think the history of the account is as important as the balance in it. Someone with 10m balance without a good flow is likely to get a refusal letter based on insufficient funds. If your sponsor's soa indeed has a good history or if she can prove the source of the funds, then I think 5m should be okay. I may be wrong o undecided Also, I think the fact that you were going for a prenursing was the reason for the purpose of visit thingy. So now that you are going for nursing, try to explain why you intend to study that abroad instead of staying back in Nigeria, and use your mom as a strong home tie. Explain that you have to come back home to take care of her since your dad is late; it's your obligation! (so sorry to hear about your dad). And erhmm maybe if she can gift you one of her lands and reserve it for your use at the completion of your program.
P.S I'm no guru, just an opinion

He apply in Nigeria through Paper route, on 28th of march medical immediately and biometric correspondence letter 5 days ago and visa denial today.
He told me, he did not submitted personal SOA, no personal assets,

Okay if I got you right, you meant he applied on the 28th of March with an upfront medical. Then 5 days ago he got a biometrics correspondence mail, then he got denied today? Is that correct?

I will ask you few questions....

-Which course did he Study at the Uni?
-Which course is he intending to study in Canada?
-Is he currently employed? If yes....Is it related to his undergraduate course or intending course in Canada.
-Who was his sponsor?
-How much was in the sponsors account prior to his application submission?
-Did he pay any tuition fee?
-Did he include a LOE/SOP with his application?

Hello, good evening
Do I have to submit both sponsor letter and affidavit of support.

Good evening, you can submit both, if you feel like (no crime). When I did mine, I submitted just a letter from my sponsor.

Thanks a lot for this. How about having a ball of N5M after paying the fees? Is it cool?
My mum has tenants and houses but how do I prove this to them. Exactly,he died in a hospital!! You just gave me an inspiration

If after paying your fees you still have 5M in your mum's SOA, that's perfect. Before paying your fees, please read your schools return policy.

I think there should be tenancy agreement between your mum and her tenant's, please ask her. Attach receipt to show payment of fees.
Also, make sure you attach proof of your mums source of funds (is she into business or paid employment? just show proof).

You finished secondary school in 2017 right? Make sure there is a structure to your LOE and get someone to proof read it (very important).

P.S Like I said, you are on track and having your mum sponsor you is very good, you just need to get those documents I mentioned earlier and you are good to go.

Before you submit your next application, you can list all the documents you plan to submit here to be sure you are on track (Do NOT PM anyone including me, ask your questions here).

All the best.

Hello House, this tutorial is meant for ONLINE APPLICANTS ONLY
If you experiencing some form of Delay because of the documents you want to upload is larger than the maximum file size given to us by CIC, well, this worked for me and I am sure it will work for you, Notwithstanding if you have a better Method of doing this please Kindly Share. No knowledge is wasted HERE.

So, first of all, we know there are uploading sections for some documents already.
Example
1. Letter of acceptance (FROM YOUR SCHOOL)
2. International Passport
3. Digital photo
4. Medical

All the above listed has a particular uploading area, Read well so you don't make mistakes.
I also want to believe that even if you scan any of the above documents it won't exceed 4mb.

Now for the financial Support section, If you are confused about which document should be in this section then you have to go back on some Pages where Qudkom made a detailed post about this.

Now let us get started.

You are advised to Merge EVERY DOCUMENT relating to the finance aspect of your application together, Now If you want to do that, goto Sejda dot com, and Merge those files and download them back on Your System.

Now here comes the Trick to Compressing our document, go to google and download PrimoPDF, Install and close it.

Open your downloaded finance document, Hold "Ctrl + P" like you want to print, It will take you to another interface where you will be able to select your printing options, Now Select Printer and you will see a drop-down menu, Now Select PrimoPDF and Click on Print.

Wait for the progress bar to be done, Mind you it's not printing but trying to interface with the PrimoPDF software, When that's done, the PrimoPDF software will Popup and You will click on CREATE PDF, it will ask you to save it. FINISH

That's the magic ...

NOTE: The picture Quality might reduce a little.

@Qudkom @sillysassysally @Bracha @Viper and also to all the gurus out there YOU ARE THE REAL MVP.
God Bless you

Hello @sillysassysally, I checked through the ProdigyFinance website you talked about and noticed they are more into schools in the US and was able to only find University of British Columbia and University of Toronto (the only two Canadian Universities) on the site.
Can you please give a roadmap on securing the Loan. Thanks and nice profile

Don't you think at this stage it is better your friend came on board the platform to learn things for himself.
Because there are informations you might have missed which he would not.

Besides it reduces your stress to your own issues alone instead of thinking for 2.

My opinion

Is it just me , but I do not see a correlation between the two courses. That’s where the purpose of study denial comes from. And from experience, when you have a purpose of study problem ,VOs usually just include the rest denial reasons like travel history and and home ties. You friend needs to apply for something related to his course. And lately, VOs are turning there eyes on Graduate certificate courses.
Just my opinion.

OMO I still dey wait oh!. They also told me 5-10 working days and i was given a tracking number but the thing isn't giving me any tangible information. I have seen some really cheap flights and i don't know if I should just take the risk and book my flight now or still wait some more...

I'm gonna call them later today to make further inquiries and i would definitely let you know how it goes... Please also keep me updated.

Strong home tie, not you having job o but you must own the business.

Strong SOA, in the region of 20M if you haven’t paid for your tuition. Which will cover living expenses for both of you and your full tuition.

You can have a family co sponsor like you dad or MUM which is optional but then can still stand as home tie for you particularly if you are part of a family business which you probably could be a stake or shareholder.

There must be academic progression and what you are coming to acquire in Canada must be useful for the company and your country.

I believe the above is the basic thing but then remember that all other things will be checked by the VO. Things like the marriage certificate, the depandants of both party in any and other things.

The final thing is just the grace of God cos at times some pple won’t do up to that and they are given. But on the human perspective, what I gave you above is necessary.
.

Good morning please do you have the student questionnaire form? Let me see what they will ask there.
And please I did bio metrics last year and I want to reply do I need to do again when submitting app. Or they have my record already.. what can I do?

Please how exactly do we know when its ready? I tried tracking it but it has just been saying "
Visa application, tracking ID No.20190509CALAPPT0XXXX is being processed at the Canada Visa Office . To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website"

Qudkom:

Lol you need the tracking number to monitor progress from vfs to nairobi and back. So you know when to collect it. Also your cic portal eill be updated once you get the counterfoil at the embassy.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by sillysassysally(f): 10:20am On May 15, 2019
You have to give us a comprehensive summary of the said applicants profile.
Did the person apply to a DLI?
What course was the person going for and what was their undergrad major?
Age?
Study gaps?
Funding/Finances?

abusmanlouis:

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Sincerely,

IRCC Nairobi

Well your age depends on what you need to prove. If you can be patient enough to check my previous post you'll see where I explained in detail about dealing with home ties.

Do you mind sharing the reasons for your denial so that the gurus on this thread could rub minds together to get a sense of things you may need to work on against your next application... What date did you get the notice?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 11:17am On May 15, 2019
Email and web form the heck out of them. Buy the flight ticket for the latest possible date, send them a copy of your flight while reminding them of your resumption date.

Are you applying in Canada or to Canada? If it's in Canada, I would take it to mean you're in Canada already probably on a visit visa, which means you have to come back to Nigeria to apply.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 11:28am On May 15, 2019
If you want to wait for GCMS note to arrive before reapplying, you may have to defer that admission, because the note takes almost 30 days to arrive. And at that time, processing time may be higher.

Kes911 can walk you through on how to apply for the note.

iv. SOP (I referenced how my parents influenced my business traits from childhood which prompted my intention of returning back to school to study Business Administration at the basic level i.e Diploma. I supported this assertion with dad & Mum's Birth Cert/Retirement Certificate
Note: I have a B.A in Mass Communication but my job experiences have always been in the field of BUsiness )
v. Survey plan of a land property having 2 buildings on it (Bungalow & a storey building) owned by my husband

Men these agent guys are just ruthless, I just left qlife now and there's this guy that sat beside me for medicals, no medical form, the agent just said he should go for medicals. According to him, the agent said he submitted his application since May 2018 ND I'm like Wah!!!!. The one that off me was when I asked if he has done his biometrics. He said no cry Why are agents like this. The agent even held the passport since last year, saying it has been with the embassy and he took it from them yesterday and gave this guy to come for the medicals today (the agent said he knows someone at the embassy). How will somebody comfortably waste 1yr if another person life, this is so wicked. I've introduced the guy to this forum tho, and advised him to get that sole called wicked agent locked. Pls gurus, let's continue with the good work here, God will surely repay us well. I felt for this guy cos I know wetin agent do me sef cry
