Chapter 15

Trevor

Trevor

That same day at soccer practice, the boys were in the locker room getting ready and Trevor could see Lance stealing glances at him as he laced his boots. Trevor was somewhat overwhelmed by the attention he seemed to be getting from Lance recently. Ever since his father scolded him about failing Algebra right infront of Lance of all people, he has not felt the same.

He even thought of calling Lance up that Saturday night to end thier study sessions; saying that he didn't need it anymore, but he wouldn't pass Algebra that way now, would he?

Trevor looked over at Lance just as Lance looked away and started to walk towards the entrance. Since that Saturday, he felt stripped right infront of Lance. He felt completely naked now that Lance knew everything about him, well, almost everything. It felt weird to think that Lance would never see him as the same again. There were things that Lance could use against him now if they ever got into a fight and yes, Lance was the type of person that could do that shit because he lived to cause people like Trevor pain. Trevor hated the entire situation so much. He didn't want to go for thier next session after that Saturday and even when he did, he had made up his mind that he wasn't going to suck up to Lance in anyway. If the dude said shit, he would punch him straight in the face without caring how far he had gone in this bet. Even during the session that day, Trevor could feel Lance's eyes on him through out. He thought of confronting him, but he thought he would let Lance make the first move, but he did not.

He finished his work and submitted it and when he saw the smile on Lance's face when he told him that he had gotten three out of the four questions correct, and he suddenly knew that what Lance felt for him was pure pity.

Bleep.

Lance Tiffin, feeling sorry for him, Trevor Bowman. Trevor felt his stomach turn when he remembered he had another session with him later today. He didn't know how, but somehow, his father had made it a little bit more difficult for him to win this fucking bet.

"Hey, Trev. You okay man?" Caleb's voice pulled Trevor back to reality.

Trevor looked in Caleb's questioning green eyes and blinked rapidly . "Huh?...Uhm yeah," he stuttered. "Yeah..i-i'm fine."

"Come man,Coach is waiting for us on the field," Caleb said as he tapped his shoulder. "Let's go."

"Sure."

Trevor wanted to moves, but Caleb stopped him again and darted his eyes to the entrance and back to Trevor. "Say eh...can I ask you something real quick?" Caleb asked.

Trevor's brows furrows before he raised his hands to his hips. "Sure," he said. "What's up?"

Caleb glanced at the entrance again and then looked at the floor below him. "That...ehm....that Stephanie girl..." Caleb said.

Trevor tilted his head to the side as confusion filled his features. "Stephanie?" He asked. "Who's Stephanie?"

Caleb looked up at him. "You know," He said, looking a bit exhausted at the fact that he had to describe her to him. "Red hair, large glasses,.....big mouth."

After Trevor thought for a while, he turned to Caleb. "Oooh," he said with realisation as he smiled at his buddy and wiggled his brows. "You mean Stephanie."

"Stop it," Caleb rolled his eyes. "Please."

"What do you want to know?"

"You take many classes with her since you are in science and all," Caleb said as he looked at the entrance and looked back at him. "What's she like?"

Trevor smiled and shrugged at his friend. "I honestly don't know Bro," he said. "Most of the girls in science are kind of lame."

Caleb frowned. "Nadia isn't that lame."

Trevor chuckled. "Yeah right whatever," he said as he began to move towards the entrance while pulling Caleb with him. "Come on let's go before coach kicks our asses."

Lance

Coach had divided them into teams of five a usual and once again, Trevor and Lance were on the same team. Bruce was the captain of his team and Bruce was the leader of his.

"Your defence Trevor! check your defence!" Coach kept yelling. "Dante! what the hell are you doing out there? stop kicking like a girl and play ball, come on!"

Trevor passed the ball to another teammate before running up to the penalty box. "I'm Open! I'm open! Trevor yelled.

The other player was about to take a shot in Trevor's direction, but he was suddenly tackled by one of Bruce's team-mates. Although he couldn't pass the ball to Trevor anymore, he was still in possession.

"Here!" Lance's voice called from behind the boy and he quickly spun and saw Lance waving his hands as he was running towards the post. "Over here!"

The boy took the shot before the ball was finally trapped by Lance. As Lance raced towards the penalty box, he saw Trevor drop his shoulders and he knew why. Lance made it to the box and immediately saw Dante waiting to tackle him with a smirk on his face.

"Where do you think you're going, queer?" Dante snickered. "You know you can't score."

Lance paused and glared at Dante, trying very hard not to take a heavy shot at his crouch. Lance then looks to Trevor and notices that he is open and also the closest to the post. He looked back at Peter and smiled before he blew him a kiss just to rile him.

Dante's face hardened in response to Lance's gesture and then he charged for Lance, but Lance is way ahead of him.

"Trevor! Your goal!" Lance yelled before giving a powerful shot in Trevor's direction.

Trevor trapped the ball and aimed for the post. The keeper hurried towards him, but wasn't fast enough. Trevor gave out a powerful shot towards the net before any of his opponents could reach him.

"Goal!" all the boys roared and yelled as they all hurried and ruffled Trevor's hair. Lance saw Trevor jog back into the field and for two seconds, he glanced of at him. Lance didn't know how to respond, but before he could think of anything, Trevor mind was back on the game.

The game ended Three goals to two with Trevor's team in the lead. "Nice game boys!" the coach clapped as he gathered everyone at the end of the practice. He had said he had an announcement.

"We've got a major match coming up," he announced then paused and looked at them individually before he went on. "...against Westley High."

"What?" Peter and Dante exclaimed before the looked at each other. Bruce just threw his head backwards with a laughter that seemed to say 'This can not be happening'.

"Aw hell nah," Aaron groaned.

Lance said nothing. He just turned and looked at everyone around him groaning and swearing before he turned towards the coach with a smirk on his face. Kentworth had not beaten Westley for five in any football match. The Westley players were so brutal, they even came close to winning the state championship last year. Kentworth had not even made it out of the qualifying stage.

Coach then went on to assure the boys that our set and team was going to be the one that was going to break the jinx. He told us that we were going to make training more rigorous and more intense.

"We're gonna beat this clowns!" Coached cheered and the boys all roared in response; punching thier fists in the air.

After a while, the gathering dispersed. Everyone was heading for the locker room now and Lance followed.

Lance suddenly felt some grab his shoulder before he spun around and felt his heart skip when he saw Trevor smiling at him.

"Nice game, Lance," Trevor patted Lance's shoulder with a smile on his face before he hurried past him with Caleb right beside him.

Lance slowed down his pace as he kept his eyes on Trevor. He felt fulfilled for some reason, and happy that Trevor had acknowledged his contribution.

He was so lost in the thought of Trevor's compliment, that he didn't notice the smile that slowly appeared on his face as he kept his eyes on Trevor.

Chapter 16

Lance and Trevor met at the library as usual and Lance still perplexed to see Trevor feeling uneasy around him. All the while the session had started; Trevor hardly looked up at Lance. He finished the work he was given and quickly stuffed his ears with his earphones. It made Lance kind of mad that Trevor was refusing to have any conversation with him, but then Lance could understand why. No one would feel comfortable with someone who had just watched their dad humiliate them, right?

“You got three out of five,” Lance looked up to an oblivious Trevor with a proud smile on his face.

When he realised Trevor had not heard him, he reached over and gave the blond boy a slight nudge that seemed to startle him.

“What?” Trevor looked up at Lance with raised brows as he pulled his ear phones from his ear.

“Three out of five,” Lance repeated. “That’s impressive.”

Trevor gave a weak and nervous smile in response. It was as though Lance was suddenly a stranger.

“Oh, thanks.”

Lance stared at Trevor for a while, maybe expecting him to say more, but Trevor said nothing. He just stuffed his earphones back in his ears and turned away. Lance’s sigh of what seemed like frustration, surprised him. Why was he frustrated? Why did he even care that Trevor didn’t want to talk?

“Okay then,” Lance exhaled, before he turned away and wrote down a few exercises for Trevor to try on his own when he gets home.

When he was done, he handed it over to Trevor who seemed startled once again after Lance had called his attention. Why was he so jittery all of a sudden? “Here,” Lance said. “Try these when you get home.”

Trevor looked up at lance and back to the book being handed to him. “Oh, Okay,” he replied. “Thanks.”

Lance was a little surprised when he saw Trevor stand to his feet immediately after he had stuffed the book into his bag. Lance kept his eyes on him as he swung his bag over his shoulders and turned to leave. He kept his eyes on him until he was inches away from the library door.

“Tre-Trevor wait,” the words fell right of Lance’s mouth.

Trevor froze and spun back to face an approaching Lance with raised brows. Lance ignored the fact that even with his earphones to his ears, he still heard him calling. Weird, right?

“What’s up?” Trevor asked as he pulled his earphones down again.

Lance stared into Trevor’s blue eyes and realised he didn’t have anything to say. He just realised he didn’t have any reason for calling Trevor at all.

Dammit, what was wrong with him? He just had to think of something.

Lance immediately turned his eyes to the ground below him. He was the uneasy one now. “I was-eh-I was going out for coffee,” Lance mumbled. When he didn’t hear a response, he looked up at Trevor and met him with his eye brows raised higher, as if asking Lance what that had to do with him, or Algebra.

Lance rolled his eyes and dropped his shoulders. “And I was wondering if you wanted to come.”

Trevor’s mouth fell open slightly as if he wanted to say something, but nothing came out. It was clear to lance that his request had taken Trevor unawares.

“Sorry,” Trevor’s voice was low and uncertain. “I-I can’t.”

A hint of disappointment flashed in Lance’s eyes but he did well to hide it quickly. “Oh,” Lance said as he began to back away. “No–ehm-no problem.”
Without hesitation, Trevor plugged back his earphones, turned away and walked out the door without even telling Lance goodbye.

Lance just stood there and stared at the door for a few seconds, before he turned back and walked back to his seat. He dropped to his chair, pulled out his phone and opened up the black and white picture of a smiling Trevor that seemed to have stolen his heart. Lance stared at the picture and felt his breathing quicken. He was getting angry, but he didn’t know why. He stared at the picture for a couple of seconds; his grip tightened on the phone, before he dropped it to the table and drove his fingers through his dark hair as he exhaled in frustration.

Bleep, what was Trevor Bowman doing to him?
“Hey, Lance?” A male voice made Lance shoot his head up quickly. He suddenly felt the blood in his veins boil when he looked up and saw his sitting partner; Chris, looking down at him with a nervous smile on his face and a notebook opened up in his hands.

“Uhm-sorry to bother you man,” Chris uttered in a slightly trembling voice as he leaned in closer to Lance. “…But I was wondering if you could help me with the solution to this-“

Lance didn’t even wait for Chris to finish his sentence before he reached up and yanked the notebook from Chris and flung it across the library hall with his eyes still on the frightened boy.

“Hey,” Chris cried in protest.

Lance’s lips then tugged into a fake but wicked smile with rage in his eyes. “That’s your solution.”
“What the hell is your problem man?” Chris scowled at him.

Lance’s features hardened. The smile on his lips disappeared and his face contorted to that of rage as he stood to his feet and moved close to face a terrified Chris who seemed to be moving away.

“Get the Bleep out of my face,” Lance snarled with eyes blazing.

Chris was wise enough to know that if he had said anything to annoy Lance any further at that point, Lance would definitely beat the shit out of him for sure. “Okay,” Chris stuttered a reply as he raised his hands in surrender and began to back away.
Lance watched Chris walk away before he dropped down to his seat and stared into space for a few seconds. He picked up his phone and looked at Trevor’s picture one more time.

Lance slammed the phone on the table in rage. “Bleep!” He shouted in rage, causing everyone in the library to jump in shock.

Chapter 17

Caleb and Trevor had just finished Chemistry, and Caleb and Nadia had noticed how he had been avoiding Lance throughout the class and didn’t even want to sit near him when the teacher had told him to because Lance was the only one on his table.

“Hey dude,” Caleb tapped his hands on Trevor’s shoulder as the three of them made their way out of the lab after ditching their lab coats in the lockers. “You okay?”

Trevor looked up at him with a weak smile and sighed with a nod. “Kinda.”

Nadia rolled her eyes and sighed. “It’s the bet, isn’t it?”

Trevor looked up and gave her a wry smile.
Nadia reached out and gave him a side hug. “Awww, just hang in there okay,” she cooed playfully. “Prom is just a month away.”

“Or,” Caleb began with a voice laced with frustration. “You could just tell Bruce you’re done with the bet and return the bloody money.”

“Oh I’m sorry, are you going to give him three thousand dollars?” Nadia replied with a feigned politeness.

Trevor looked away from her and faced Caleb. “That’s a good question actually,” Trevor said.

Caleb said nothing. He just looked away from the both of them and sighed.

“But I don’t still get why you’re avoiding him though,” Nadia went on as they turned the corner and walked into the gymnasium. “I mean, aren’t you supposed to make him like you?”

Trevor dropped his shoulders. “That’s the thing,” Trevor groaned. “I think he already does.”

“See?” Nadia widened her eyes and tapped Trevor’s belly. “That’s a good thing, right?”

“No, Nadia, It’s not,” Caleb hissed from the other side of Trevor. “Trevor doesn’t like him, remember?”

“That’s the whole point, jackass,” Nadia fired back. “It’s called a bet for a reason.”

“The other, after our tutorials, he invited me over for coffee,” Trevor said with his eyes on the floor as they kept walking towards the bleachers.

“…And?” Nadia placed her hands on Trevor’s shoulders to stop him from walking, before he turned and looked into her expectant brown eyes.

“I said no,” Trevor raised his shoulder. “What did you want me to say?”

Nadia looked away and slapped her palm across her forehead. “O Jesus, Trevor,” she grunted.

“Okay,” Caleb stepped in. “Now, I know I’m against this bet and all, but it’s kind of bad idea when you decline an invitation made by someone whom you are trying to get to like you.”

“Thank you,” Nadia uttered as she gestured to Caleb.

Trevor exhaled and threw his head backwards. “Declining a coffee break won’t change anything, guys, come on.”

“Fine whatever,” Nadia raised her shoulder and looked away flippantly. “All I’m saying is that you’ve gotten the opportunity now. Use it.”

“Dickson!” Someone yells from behind them. They all spun and saw Stephanie walking quickly to catch up with them. Caleb instinctively looked away from an approaching Stephanie and turned to see Trevor smirking at him mischievously.

“Who is she?” Nadia observed Stephanie with a sneer as she approached.

“A very, very, very close friend of a friend,” Trevor uttered with his eyes still on Caleb and his mischievous smirk now a full smile.

Caleb glared at Trevor, before he raised his middle finger at him; a gesture that made Trevor tilt his head back in laughter.

“Come on Nadia,” Trevor said as he reached out and pulled Nadia away with his eyes still on his friend. “Let’s give these two some privacy, shall we?”

Caleb rolled his eyes away from them and faced forward in time to see Stephanie coming to a halt right in front of him.

“Hey,” Stephanie uttered with a smile but Caleb said nothing. He just smiled down at her with his eyes searching hers. Stephanie looked to the ground and swallowed before she looked up again.

“I just wanted to-"

“It’s Caleb.” He interrupted with a smile still on his face.

Stephanie paused. “What?”

Caleb leaned in a little closer for her to hear him better. “My name is Caleb.”

“Oh,” Stephanie suddenly felt uneasy as she adjusted her glasses at the sight of his green eyes boring into her. “Alright then, Caleb.”

Caleb’s smile slowly grew wider as his eyes seemed to travel to every feature on her face.

“I just wanted to apo-“ Stephanie stopped again when Caleb just started to chuckle over nothing.

“What’s so funny?” She frowned.

Caleb looked up at her with a smile that now exposed his pearly white teeth. “Why are you so short?”

Stephanie’s frown disappeared and her eyes narrowed at Caleb with rage. “Excuse me?”

“You’re very close to being a midget, you know,” Caleb said.

Stephanie inhaled deeply and closed her eyes. It took everything in her not to scream at Caleb, and besides, she had a motive. She had a goal, and she wasn’t going to let Caleb’s condescending behaviour get in her way, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t going to let him have it. She finally opened her eyes and gave him a fake smile.

“You know, I was about to apologise for my rude behaviour the other day, hoping you would do the same and we could be friends at least,” she said.

Caleb said nothing. He just kept his eyes on hers and his hands in the pockets of his jeans. His smile seemed to be permanent as he observed her.

“..But I guess that wouldn’t be necessary,”
Stephanie said before she turned and started to walk away.

Caleb stood there, watching her move away. Deep down, it took everything in him to stop himself from running after her. Even the way she matched away in anger seemed to make him smile.

“Stephanie Morris,” Caleb whispered to himself as he watched the red haired girl walk out of the gymnasium door.

Chapter 18

Saturday morning, the one day Trevor could ignore his annoying alarm clock and sleep in as long as he wanted. He was also happy because Saturday also meant no school drama today, but he deflated when he remembered he had to meet Lance at the town library today though. He looked over at the time on his clock.

“8:49AM.”

“Shit.” he hissed as he pulled himself from bed.
He did a few press-ups and sit-ups, before he walked out of his room and headed downstairs. He heard the sweet sound of his mum humming to herself while she prepared breakfast. She must have come back quite early last night for her to be awake and already fixing breakfast.

“Morning,” Trevor sang as he kissed mother on the cheek and headed for the fridge.

“Hey honey,” she replied with her attention still in the carrots she was chopping.

“How was work?” Trevor pulled out a box of milk.

“Oh you know, same as always,” Mrs. Bowman replied with her eyes still on the carrots. “Blocking bleeding arteries, delivering babies, fixing urinary catheters…”

“Wow,” Trevor replied, even though he didn’t really care. He screwed the cap of the milk open and was and took a gulp.

“Trevor Bowman,” his mother’s suddenly stern voice made him freeze. “How many times do I have to tell you to stop drinking the milk from the carton?”

He brought the milk down and met her stern eyes on him before he flashed her silly smile. “Sorry.”

“Use a cup for Christ sake, that’s what they are there for,” she said before her eyes travelled down his body. “..And for the love of God, stop walking around the house in your boxers. Someone could walk in at any minute.”

Trevor smiled and patted his abs playfully. “Oh come on Mum,” he said. “What’s the point working out when nobody can see my body?”

“Oh please,” his mother rolled her eyes and flipped him off. “Save it for Lisa.”

Trevor laughed and kissed his mother on the cheek again as he hurried out the kitchen. “Fine, I’ll go put on a sweater.”

Trevor went upstairs, pulled on a grey NYU sweater that Kim had given him as a gift, before he headed back downstairs. He was going straight for the living room when he heard the crackling sound of the heated oil on the gas stove and then he froze. He walked over to the kitchen door and stood there watching his mother slice a few onions. He knew she was about to fry them all together with the carrots and he was going to watch her do it. She scrapped the onions into the pan and began to stair them with a wooden spoon.

“Be sure not to leave them on for too long,” Trevor couldn’t hold himself any longer. “or-or else they’ll burn.”

Mrs. Bowman looked up at her son as he stood there at the door, watching her as if he was scared of walking in. “Yes sir,” she said playfully.

“Uhm-we’re eating it with bacon, right?” Trevor asked.

“Yes,” Mrs. Bowman replied before she looked up at him again. “Why?”

Trevor opened his mouth to say something, but he then closed it again and shook his head. “Ne-Never mind.”

Mrs. Bowman dropped the wooden spoon in the pan, raised her hands to her hips and gave her son a stern look. “Trevor,” she warned. She always hated when he did that.

“Well,” Trevor looked nervous as he kept his eyes on the pan on the stove. “I just thought if were using bacon with the eggs, a few curry leaves would be awesome with it.”

Mrs. Bowman kept her eyes on Trevor until a smile slowly appeared on her pretty face. A proud smile.
“What?” Trevor asked as he stared at her with suspicion.

Mrs. Bowman stretched her hands towards him for a hug. “Come here."

“Oh come on mum,” Trevor groaned. “I’m not a kid anymore.”

Her smile suddenly disappeared and her face turned serious as her hands were still held out. “Trevor Bowman, you come to your mother right now,” she commanded.

Trevor rolled his eyes and dragged himself into the warm embrace of his mother. She held him so tight, sighed and kissed his cheek before pulling away slightly to get a good look at his face. It sometimes scared how much of him he saw in her.

“You know I love you, right honey,” her voice was calm and kind.

“Yeah,” he replied as he looked to the floor and back up to his mother. “I do.”

“Then you know I would support you in any decision you make with your life.”

Trevor dropped his shoulders and exhaled before he looked away. He knew this was where the entire conversation was going; his interest in the culinary arts, his duty to his father to become a civil engineer …….and algebra.

“Now, I’m not mad at you for failing Algebra. I just don’t understand why you hadn’t told me,” Mrs. Bowman said as she used her finger to pull back a strand of Trevor’s blond hair to the back of his ear. Trevor was still quiet. He just looked at his mother, wishing he had something to say.

She ran her hands from his shoulders down his arm and held his hands. “I’m not going to stop you from being happy. I could never stop you from being happy, and if that means going against your father’s dream for your-“

“It’s okay mum, “Trevor cut her off quietly as he looked away and faced the island table beside them.

Mrs. Bowman reached out and gently moved his face to face hers. “Honey, listen you don’t have to-"

“Mum, I said its fine,” he cut her off again, before he looked up at her. “I’ll be a Bowman. I’ll put Civil engineering on my college application.”

His mother looked into his eyes for a few seconds before she looked away, let go of his hands and rubbed her palms oh her apron. “Okay then,” she sighed.

Trevor stared at her as she switched the stove back on and went on with the cooking. She avoided his eyes and he knew why. He had just told her he was going to respect his father’s wishes and study Civil engineering and she was smart enough to know that wasn’t what he wanted. Trevor was sure this was why his mother left his father. He remembered her telling him about the days she would come back late from work and he would fuss over where she had been. He would always lose whenever she called in and told him that she wouldn’t be coming home that day.

“What the hell do you want from me?” he remembered his mother yelling from their bedroom a long time ago. “To stay at home all day and cook and clean for you?”

“That wouldn’t be a bad idea, you know,” he remembered his father firing back.

“I’m a doctor, Gerald,” she growled back. “Like it or not, I have a career!”

Few months later, Trevor remembered his parents sitting he and his big sister for a family meeting in the living room; giving them ‘the mummy and daddy have to stay apart for a while and figure things out talk.’ It was surprising that neither Kim nor her little brother missed their dad, but they felt sorry for their mum because they thought she was lonely. Another sad change was the fact that his dad had won custody of Kim, and so, she had to stay with him in New York.

Suddenly, the loud ringing of the doorbell startled Trevor out of his thoughts. He looked up in time to see his mother cleaning her hands with a napkin.

“Who is it?” she yelled.

Trevor placed his hands on her shoulder and stopped her from moving past him. “I’ll get it,” he said.

He then turned away and walked out of the kitchen. He hurried into the dinning area and glanced up at the wall clock on the wall.

“10:30AM”

Shit, he had just thirty minutes to make it to his tutorial.

Trevor got to the door and pulled it open. “Morning, can we-“

Lance smirked mischievously at a dumbfounded Trevor standing at the door. “What’s up dumbass?”

Chapter 19

"What are you doing here?" Trevor hissed through his teeth before he glanced back into the house to see if his mother was still in the kitchen.

"We've got tutorials today," Lance smirked mischievously. "...remember?"

"Yes,but-"

"Trevor?" Trevor's mother cut him off as she yelled from the kitchen. "Who's at the door honey?"

"Uhm..No-"

"Morning Mrs Bowman!" Lance yelled, interrupting Trevor again. Lance tried to walk past Trevor and get into the house but Trevor stopped him by pressing his hands against his chest.

"Don't even think about it," Trevor glared at a smirking Lance.

"Lance?" Trevor heard his mother's voice and turned to see her coming out of the dinning area while cleaning her hands with a napkin. "Is that you?"

Trevor turned and faced an equally puzzled Lance. The both of them were obviously perplexed at the fact that Trevor's mum still remembered his name and voice so well.

"Hey Mrs Bowman," Lance smiled as he finally walked into the house.

"Oh sweety," Mrs bowman said, as she hurried up to him with her arms wide open and locked him in a warm embrace.

Lance went stiff. This was way too awkward. He didn't know whether to hug her back or not, so he just placed a hand on her back. He looked at Trevor and saw that he was seething.

Trevor just stood there, wondering what was going on. His mother had only seen Lance once in her life before today, and now here she was, treating and welcoming him with such affection. It was as if Lance was one of her patients or something, and did she just call him 'sweety'?

Mrs Bowman pulled away and observed Lance with a kind smile before she placed her palm on his cheek. "How are you?" She asked.

Lance was beginning to look apprehensive. "I-I'm good."

"..and you mum?" She asked as she pulled away from him completely, but still kept her eyes on him. "How is she?"

"Good," Lance nodded.

Mrs Bowman nodded and then faced her son. "Well then," she said. "I guess i'll have to make breakfast big enough for three."

Lance raised his hands as if in surrender as he shook his head. "That wouldn't be nec-."

"No need," Trevor cut him off and then moved his cold glare from his mother to Lance. "He's not staying long."

Lance slowly turned to look at Trevor with furrowed brows. Mrs Bowman face fell with disappointment as she looked away from Trevor and faced Lance.

"Oh...Oh dear," she said. "That's too bad."

Lance looked away from Trevor and raised his finger. "On second thought," he said before he looked back at Trevor with a malicious smile. "Breakfast wouldn't be such a bad idea."

Lance held himself from laughing when he saw the way Trevor narrowed his eyes at him.

"Great," Mrs Bowman clapped her palms together once, before she hurried and disappeared into the kitchen.

Trevor watched his mother walk into the kitchen, before he stepped to block Lance. "I thought weekend tutorials were at the library downtown?" Trevor hissed with a seething rage.

Lance turned to him with a smirk and a raised brow. "It was," he said. "But apparently, your neanderthal friends made a bad impression the last time we were there, remember?"

Trevor looked confused, but still angry. "What are you talking about?"

Lance exhaled and rolled his eyes. "Your buddies got us kicked out of the Library after thier act the last time, Trevor," his tone was serious now. "I went into the library today, the librarian recognised me and said I shouldn't come in. She said I've been banned. We've been banned."

Trevor looked away from Lance and stared into space with confusion overtaking his features. He remembered what Peter and Dante had done in the library the last time. He knew they would have attracted a few eyes, but he didn't think they would get kicked out.

"So I guess our saturdays are going to be spent here from now on," Lance gave him a wry smile.

"And why does it have to be my house," Trevor raised his chin, steadied himself and folded his arms on his chest.

Lance blinked his smile away. "Because it was your friends that got us kicked out."

Lance then flashed him a smile and walked to the dining area. "Come on dude," Lance said without even looking back.

Trevor stood behind and watched him through narrow eyes before he finally followed him.

Trevor hurried upstairs to get his books and came back down in time to see his mother lay the food on the table. She placed a plate of egg sandwiches before Lance with a cheerful smile on her face. "Here you go sweety."

"Aw," Lance looked down at the plate and then up to her face. "Thanks Mrs. Bowman."

She placed her palm gently o his shoulder with the smile never leaving her pretty face. "You're welcome honey."

Trevor made sure he made a loud noise when he dropped his books on the table. Lance and his mother turned to him. His mother's smile dropped out of her face immediately but Lance was still smiling.

"..And here's yours honey," Mrs Bowman said as she dropped the second plate of sandwich in her hand right infront of Trevor.

"Thanks mum."

As soon as his mother leaves and walks into the kitchen, Trevor's eyes land on Lance. Lance leans over and takes a bite off his sandwich, before he looks up at Trevor with a mischievous grin. "Did you make this?"

"Bleep you," Trevor replied flippantly before he pulled out a chair and dropped to a seat.

Lance chuckled at his response and continued to munch on his egg sandwich. Trevor tried not to, but for some reason, he couldn't stop himself from watch Lance eat. There was something about the way hour chewed on his food; calm and gracious. Not too fast, not too slow. The way he reached up and raked his black curls away from his face. The way the muscles of his jaw moved as he chewed and the sudden awareness of every breath he took. When Lance then looked up and caught his Trevor's eyes, he gave a charming smile and winked. The gesture seemed to tug at something deep inside of Trevor.

What the hell?

Lance was making him feel funny on the inside. Trevor held himself from smiling at how adorable Lance looked. Hell, he was even surprised at the fact that Lance was adorable. Lance wasn't supposed to be adorable. Lance was a demon and Trevor hated him. He hated him so much, he was going to wreck him come Prom night.

Trevor immediately looked away. "So," he sighed, pretending he wasn't at all intrigued by the boy before him. "You want to eat first or..."

"We can start while we eat," Lance interrupted him with a shrug. "Doesn't matter."

"Okay then."

The two boys start thier study while eating at the same time. Lance finished his food before Trevor and quickly pinched on Trevor's sandwich when he wasn't looking.

"Hey," Trevor raised his head and scowled at Lance as he moved his plate away from him. "What are you doing?"

"Shh," Lance replied with as he tried to hold down his smile before he pointed to the book before Trevor. "Concentrate."

"Don't touch my food again," Trevor warned. A warning Lance obviously didn't take seriously.

Minutes later, Trevor's mum walked out of the kitchen and smiled at the both of them as she dropped two glasses of fresh orange juice on the table.

"The sandwiches were amazing Mrs Bowman," Trevor looked up and saw that smile on Lance's face again. That smile that made him want to reach across the table and bite his nose.

"Oh," Mrs Bowman's face turned red as she chuckled. "It's okay sweety. Glad you liked it."

Trevor held down his disgust at the fact that an eighteen year old boy was making his mother blush. But then again, Lance was a charming bastard even though Trevor didn't want to admit it. Was he really gay?

"I'll be upstairs if you boys need anything," Mrs Bowman said as she looked at Trevor and then back at a smiling Lance, before she hurried up the stairs.

They both watched the woman walk gracefully up the stairs in silence, before Lance spoke."Your dad is an asshole."

Trevor spun. "What?"

"Your dad," Lance shrugged Indifferently. "He's a dick."

"Why is my dad a dick?"

Chapter 20

Lance nodded towards the stairs. "Anyone who would leave a woman like that is definitely a dick."

Trevor frowned at him. He felt touched that Lance actually liked his mum enough to call his dad a dick for leaving her. How did he even know they were separated?

"The way they spoke to each other at that dinner...," Lance's reply seemed to startle Trevor as it was as if he was replying us thoughts. "Didn't look as if they were together."

Lance sipped on his glass of orange juice. "Plus," he went on. "I never saw your dad at school, just your mum."

Trevor kept his eyes on Lance for a while, before he faced his work. He could now see how Lance got straight As in school. He was a Fucking smart ass.

The room was quiet for a while, and then Lance broke the silence with a question. "So," he started. "What are you going to study in college?"

Trevor looked up at him and wondered if that was a trick question of something. It was even more confusing to him because Lance didn't have that mischievous smirk on his face this time.

Trevor looked back down to his work. "Civil engineering."

Lance had bearly allowed him to finish before he started to chuckle. "Of course."

Trevor looked up at him with furrowed brows. "What?"

Lance raised his green eyes to Trevor, cleared his throat and steadied himself to throw another question. "And Uhm why do you want to study that?"

Trevor thought for a while before he answered. "Be-cause that's what I want." He was beginning to feel apprehensive now.

Lance kept his green eyes on Trevor's face and Trevor could sense he was amused. It was clear he was making fun of him.

"It's what you want to do," Lance repeated.

"Yeah."

Lance kept his eyes on Trevor for a while before the words flew out of his mouth. "You're pathetic."

"Excuse me?"

Lance relaxed back on his chair and raised his two hands to the back of his head. "You're pathetic."

Trevor stared into space for a second and dropped his pen on his book. He couldn't believe Lance had just insulted him to his face and called him pathetic,...twice.

"Please do not call me that again," Trevor warned.

"Why not?" The trademark smirk was back on Lance's face now. "It's true."

"No it's not," Trevor hissed.

"Yes it is," Lance gave Trevor a smile. "You're a pathetic dumbass."

Trevor clenched his jaw when he heard Lance call him a pathetic dumbass. There was something in the way hour said it that almost made Trevor smile, or laugh even, but there was no way he was going to show Lance that his insults amused him.

"Call me a pathetic dumbass one more time," Trevor hissed in warning, but it didn't seem to move Lance in anyway because hour still had that mischievous smile on his face and his condescending eyes on Trevor.

"I mean, I just don't get it," Lance got to his feet, stared at the large grandfather clock at the corner and then looked back at Trevor. "Why would you opt to study civil engineering in college when you can't even pass Algebra on high school?"

Trevor opened his mouth to answer, but discovered he couldn't. He suddenly realised he was lost for words and that Lance's question had hit him hard. He hoped it was rhetorical.

"It's not rhetorical," Lance spat with a mean smile and answered Trevor's thoughts again.

What? Is he in his head now?

Trevor avoided his eyes and looked back down to his work. "It's none of your business."

Trevor heard Lance chuckle. "Are you serious right now?" Lance asked. "Is-is that all you've got to say? that it's none of my business?"

"Yes...," Trevor hissed before he looked up at Lance again. "It's none of your damned business."

Lance kept his mischievous eyes on Trevor, the smile still on his face. He then stared down at the table and began eyeing the dinning room as if remembering something. "This table," he said longingly. "So many memories."

Trevor exhaled. "Memories of what?"

Lance smiled down at Trevor. "..Of the night your dad practically bent you over and bleeped you in the Ass with his words when he found out you helped your mum cook that dinner," Lance spoke as if he had been hold those words down there.

Trevor felt anger course through his veins at Lance's words as he clenched his fists under the table. "Shut up, Lance," he hissed.

"I know right," Lance chuckled and fell back to his seat. "The truth always hurts."

"Can we go back to studying, please?" Trevor was losing his cool.

"Well, yeah," Lance shrugged. "As soon as you admit the fact that you're a wimp who can't face his dad and tell him what's what."

Trevor exhaled in rage and looked up at the ceiling, before looking back down at Lance. "What the Bleep are you talking about?"

Lance leaned in forward now and Trevor could see the seriousness in him even though he still had the smile on his face. "I'm talking about your life Trevor," Lance said. "deep down, you know you're not good enough to major in civil engineering and yet you're willing to Bleep up your life, just to please daddy."

"You don't fucking know me," Trevor's voice was louder now.

Lance scoffed as he relaxed back on his seat. "I know you can't even pass Algebra without my help."

Trevor narrowed his eyes at him in rage as he kept talking. Who the Bleep does he think he is?

"Plus," Lance went on, clearly oblivious to Trevor's reaction. "The Chemistry accident was dew to the fact that you didn't even know a common chemical law concerning acids and bases that even the three dumb bitches sitting behind us that day knew."

"Okay," Trevor raised his hands as if in surrender and stood from his seat. "That's enough."

"Just an advice, bro," Lance shrugged as he lifted his glass of orange juice for a sip.

Trevor looked glanced at him in disbelief. "Advice?"

Lance raised his brows at him.

Trevor coughed out a laugh. "You...you are giving me advices now?"

"You're welcome," Lance smiled at him.

Trevor steadied himself. "Dude, you Bleep guys. You don't have any friends, everyone in school hates you, you're a miserable loner and you probably do drugs."

As Trevor spoke, he felt a little victorious as he watched the smile on Lance's face slowly disappear.

"...and you think you're in a better position to give me advices now?" Trevor stared down at Lance in disbelief as if he could not believe the boy was in his dinning room.

How dear he come in here and tell Trevor how to solve his problem with his father, when he himself was a bundle of problems. Trevor stared into Lance's eyes and realised he had hit him. He had hit him hard. Something deep down told him to apologise, but Bleep it. The asshole probably thought he was better than he was just because he got straight As. The dinning area was still silent and Lance still kept his eyes on Trevor. Eyes that seemed to scream 'I'm hurt!' at Trevor, even though Lance tried to hold it down.

"You really didn't have to be an asshole you know," Lance's voice was less intimidating now. "I was just trying to help-"

"Well help yourself first you fucking gay," Trevor spat in rage.

Lance's eyes widened slightly at Trevor's words and Trevor, for some reason, suddenly wished he had not said that. Oh Bleep it.

Lance looked away from Trevor and his eyes landed on the textbook before him. The room was silent again and Trevor felt his stomach turn at the fact that Lance could be waiting for an apology.

"Was it necessary though?" A voice in Trevor's head said. "For you to call him a gay?"

"He is a fucking gay," Trevor mentally replied his own thoughts as he stole glances at Lance who still had his eyes fixed to the table before him.

It intrigued Trevor how he had grown fond of the mischievous smirking Lance, so much that he felt awkward when he didn't see a smile on Lance's face. Why did the hell did he have to carry anyway.

Without a word, Lance started to shove his books into his bag without even looking at Trevor. Trevor looked up at as soon as Lance got to his feet. Trevor was shocked at the urge he had to suddenly reach for Lance and tell him he was sorry. There was no way he was going to let Lance see his guilt. No way. He just sat there with his mouth closed and his eyes on Lance. When he saw Lance was about to look his way, he looked back down to his books very quickly.

"We'll do the corrections on Monday," Lance said, as he swung his bag over his shoulder.

"Okay." Trevor's eyes still fixed on his work as he pretended no to give a damn.

Even thought he didn't look up, he could see Lance's sneakers still in place. He was just standing there, why? There was silent for a few seconds before Lance headed straight for the dinning entrance.

"Please close the door on you way out!" Trevor yelled after him, but Lance didn't even look back.

Trevor sat there for a few seconds, listening in the silence of the dinning room. Listening to hear of Lance would actually shut the front door on his way out. When he heard the door slam shut, he exhaled and faced his work. Even though he found it hard to concentrate, even though he felt the guilt tearing it's way down his body and the words in his book suddenly didn't mean anything anymore.

"Shit," Trevor hissed as he slammed his pen on his books, fell back on his chair and drove his fingers through his hair.

What the hell was wrong with him?

When did he start to give a shit about Lance's feelings?

Chapter 21

Trevor

"The school has organised a field trip to France," the French teacher, Mrs Clarice, announced that faithful Monday morning in French class.

The entire class cheered and clapped in response to her announcement before she raised her hands and calmed them down once more.

"It's mandatory that every single french senior take this trip because it's twenty marks of your exam," she announced once again.

"No problem!" A boy yelled from behind the class and the entire class cheered again.

A petit looking girl with short hair raised her and to ask a question and the teacher acknowledged.

"Is it just for French students or...?" She asked.

"Other students are welcome too," Mrs Clarice shrugged. "But it's compulsory for French students."

The students couldn't contain thier excitement as they clapped again. Few minutes and five questions later, the bell for second period went off and the entire class to thier feet.

"Please remember to put your names down with Lance before Friday so the school can submit them to the travel agency," Mrs Clarice yelled as the students made thier way out of the class.

Trevor put down his name, thought for a second, and then put Lisa's name as well. He knew she would love to go to France with him. He walked out the door and felt someone pat his shoulder before he wheeled and saw Caleb smiling at him with Bruce walking over to catch up. "Hey dude," Caleb said. "You okay?"

Trevor blinked quickly as if he had just realised where he was. "Yeah," he lied. "I'm -uhm- I'm good."

"You sure?" Bruce added with a smirk as he stood right beside Caleb. "You looked really far away in class today. I don't know if you heard, but we're going to France."

Trevor rolled his eyes. "Yes Bruce," he exhaled. "I heard."

"You sure don't look excited for someone who's going to France," Bruce said as his eyes travelled down to Trevor's shoes and back to his eyes.

"May it's because of your stupid bet," Caleb hissed and turned to Bruce with a glare.

Bruce chuckled and shrugged. "Well," he said. "There's nothing I can do about that, is there?"

Trevor said nothing. He just narrowed his eyes at his friend and shook his head.

"Come on man," Bruce said as he tapped Caleb's shoulder while walking away. "Let's go."

"See you at lunch, dude," Caleb said, as he walked away.

"Yeah, sure."

He watched them walk down half way and disappear around the corner before his eyes began to search the crowd of students in the hall way. He knew he was looking for someone, but it was funny he didn't know who. He just knew that he had gotten used to seeing this person all the time and it looked sort of weird that he had not seen this person all morning. Trevor then walked into the Biology lab for his next class. He dropped his bag on the table and began looking round the hall. A blond girl blowing a bubble with her bubble gum as she typed with unbelievable speeds on her iPhone, a boy with his arms around the shoulders of a dark haired girl who was probably his girlfriend, and...... there he was, seating at the back of the class. The familiar black curls peeping out of his beanie, the black t-shirt that hugged his athletic frame tightly, and his green eyes fixed to his phone. Trevor turned away quickly before he could see him. He held himself from smiling at the fact that he had finally seen Lance again today. That made him happy, and he didn't know why.

Four periods had passed in a flash and Trevor was having lunch with his friends again.

"Are you fucking serious?" Nadia exclaimed when Caleb had told the group that they were going to France.

"Yep," Caleb replied with a proud smile.

"Oh God," Megan pressed her palms to her her chest. "I so want to go, ..like, really, I want to go."

"Too bad you don't take French, huh?" Aaron said with a shrug.

"It doesn't matter," Trevor said.

"Yeah," Caleb added in enthusiasm. "Mrs Clarice says it's compulsory for French students, but that interested students can also join in."

Trevor saw the way Nadia and Megan widened thier eyes and held himself from laughing. "For real?" Nadia said.

"Sure," Caleb said.

"But you'll have to hurry up though," Bruce added. "The school is taking just forty students or whatever."

Nadia and Megan barely waited for Bruce to finish his sentence, before they sprang up from thier seats and headed straight for the cafeteria entrance.

"Hey!" Aaron yelled after them. "Put my name down sweety!"

"Sure Hun," Nadia yelled without even looking back.

"Just watch our food!" Megan yelled as they both hurried out.

Lisa turned to face Trevor with a playful, but suspicious look on her face. "Did you put my name down?"

"Of course I did," Trevor said as he pulled her closer to smell her hair. "What? You thought I would go all the way to France without you?"

"You're just saying that because non-french students are allowed," Lisa smiled at him as picked up a potato chip and threw it in her mouth.

Trevor looked away and chuckled in response.

"Wow," Caleb's voice made Trevor look up. His eyes were fixed on something or someone behind he and Lisa "I haven't seen her in a while."

"Seen who?" Lisa asked before she and Trevor spun to see who Caleb was looking at.

It was Tiffany.

"Where has she been?" Lisa asked as she kept her eyes on the dark haired girl who was making her way down the hall.

Trevor saw Tiffany approach and was pretty sure there was something of about her. The last time he saw her was in the music room few months ago. The day he made that video with Bruce, Aaron and Nadia. He remembered the look on her face. But now, the girl who was walking down the hall, looking for a seat, looked frail. She looked tired and weak. She looked like she had not slept for days and the brightness in her eyes when Trevor first saw her flirting with Bruce, that brightness was gone.

"Is she okay?" Lisa took the words right out of Trevor's mouth.

"Yeah she doesn't look too good," Caleb uttered in a hushed tone.

"Tiff!" A girl called from across the hall. "Over here!"

Tiffany saw the girl calling her and began to increase her pace, walking quickly to the table she was called to.

"Hey Tiffany," Bruce's voice made Lisa, Trevor and Caleb to face him.

Tiffany slowed down and tried to look for who had just called her name. Her eyes darted from corner to corner before it finally settled at Trevor's table.

"What's up?" Bruce smirked at the girl.

Trevor looked up at Tiffany and noticed she was trembling. He tray was shaking in her hands and Trevor could see Lisa and Caleb glance at each other in confusion. He looked up and saw Tiffany's eyes were beginning to well with tears and for some reason, she couldn't seem to take her eyes off Aaron and Bruce.

"You look good," Aaron smirked at her.

Tiffany started shaking so uncontrollably, the aluminium tray slipped from her hands and crashed to the ground, startling and causing everyone in the hall to turn around. All eyes were on here now, but her eyes were still on Bruce and Aaron.

"Are you okay?" Caleb got to his feet and moved to her, but she flinched and moved away from him as if he had a contagious skin disease that she didn't want to catch.

She looked at Bruce and Aaron one last time, before she turned and hurried down the hall, he sobs echoing through the entire cafeteria.

"Tiffany, wait" her friends called and ran after her.

Trevor and Lisa watched them disappear down the entrance before they both spun to face Aaron and Bruce who were still smirking mischievously.

"What was that all about?" Lisa asked.

Bruce and Aaron glanced at each other and shrugged. "I don't know," Aaron said.

"She obviously paranoid or something," Bruce added as he sipped on his coke.

Trevor watched them for a while before he asked the question that he had been itching to ask ever since he saw the way Tiffany looked at the both of them.

"She was looking at you guys," Trevor's voice was low and laced with inquisition. "Why was sh looking at you guys."

Bruce and Aaron looked at each other as they held down smiled. "Because we said Hello?" Bruce answered with a shrug.

The both of them couldn't hold down thier amusement anymore, and then they burst out in laughter. A contagious laughter that caught Lisa and Caleb.

"You guys are crazy," Lisa flipped them of with a chuckle as she faced her phone.

Caleb shook his head with a chuckle as he continued to dig into his food. But Trevor, Trevor wasn't buying thier bullshit. He was the only one on the table who wasn't amused by the situation.

Tiffany's tear filled bloodshot eyes, tired and flushed face flashed in Trevor's mind as he kept his eyes on Bruce and Aaron. He found himself fighting the feeling that his childhood friends could have indeed, done something to that girl.

Chapter 22

Lunch had passed, along with Geography and Physics. Trevor was exhausted, but for some reason, he didn’t want to miss today’s session with Lance.

They both sat there like strangers. Lance was facing his own studies while Trevor was concentrating on a few problems that had been given to him. He gave Lance occasional side glances. They had not said a word to each other for the past thirty minutes that they sat there. Lance had corrected the work Trevor did during the weekend and when Lance had told him he had gotten all of them correctly done, Trevor was ecstatic, but his excitement was short leaved when he noticed Lance’s indifference. Lance, without even looking at him, wrote out a few exercises for him to try, before he flung the book to Trevor’s table.

“Are you done?” Lance’s voice yanked Trevor out of his thoughts.

Trevor faced him with raised brows. “Huh?”

“Are…you…done?” Lance drew his words as if he was talking to person who was hearing impaired.

“No,” Trevor replied, feigning indifference as he looked back to the work before him. “Not yet.”

Lance said nothing. He just exhaled and grabbed his bag and began to throw his book into it again.
Trevor saw him shoving his books into his bag from the side of his eye and suddenly felt his stomach drop. ‘What did I say now?’ Trevor thought to himself, and as if answering Trevor’s question, Lance spoke.

“We’ll have to meet up on next week ,” Lance exhaled as he swung his bag over his bag. “I’ve got a lot of stuff to do.”

Trevor felt an annoying lump in his throat as he swallowed. ‘Leaving again?’ His thoughts were wild with confusion. He knew Lance didn’t have anything to do and that he was just pissed at him for calling him a gay. Yes, Trevor felt guilty, but he sure as hell wasn't going to make Lance see that. He was ditching him in the Library, so, all Trevor could do was make him realise he didn't give a damn......even thought he did. A little.

"I-eh- I'm not going to be able to make it next week," Trevor's voice was a bit shaken with nervousness.

Lance spun and looked at him with raised brows. "Oh?"

"French trip for French class," Trevor smiled up wryly at him. "It's twenty marks from our exam."

Trevor felt the sting of victory when he saw the look on Lance's face. Lance did everything in his power to hold himself from blinking. He tried hard to hold back his emotions at Trevor's utterance, but he wasn't doing a very good job. Trevor could sense a hint of anger and it made him kind of happy.

Lance kept his stone cold eyes on Trevor, raised his chin and looked down to the ground before looking back up at Trevor again. "Fine," he finally said.

Trevor just smiled in response. A smile that seemed to mock and annoy Lance. Without a word, Lance spun away and headed straight for the library entrance.

Trevor watched the way he moved away and was slightly amused with the way the boy matched down the hall. He was obviously angry about something and Trevor knew what. He kept his eyes on Lance Tiffin with a smile on his face and a surprising admiration in his heart.

Stephanie and Lenny

Stephanie and Lenny are seated a few rows away from Trevor and Lance and Stephanie watched as Lance left the library, leaving me Trevor behind.

"Stephanie," Lenny uttered as he began to have his palm in her face.

"What?" Stephanie wiped his palm out of her sight with irritation.

"Can you concentrate please?"

"I am concentrating," Stephanie rolled her eyes back to Trevor's position.

"No your not," Lenny hissed.

Stephanie exhaled and turned to Lenny with a glare.

"I told you," Lenny went on in what almost sounded like a groan. "The only time we could study together is this week. I'm going to France with my French class, remember."

Stephanie rolled her eyes again at the fact that this was the third time Lenny was telling her this today. "Yeah, right..whatever."

"We're just going to have four days to prepare for the competition after the trip, and you are not taking this seriously.

She turned to face her best friend and raised her brows. "We've been studying for this crap since senior year began, Lenny. You actually think i'm not prepared?"

Lenny shrugged. "I'm just saying. I mean, few weeks ago, this quiz was all you ever thought about. You never thought you were ready and no here you are...suddenly Prepared," Lenny paused and looked in Trevor's direction, before looking back at her. "...And we all know why."

Stephanie turned to him,deadpan. "Why?"

Lenny raised a brow. "Do you really want me to say it?"

Stephanie thought of what to say, but nothing came to mind. He was saying the truth. She had become obsessed with finding out what was really going on between Trevor and Lance. She was obsessed with knowing what the deal is and was ready to, for some reason, protect Lance at all costs, even if he didn't give a damn. She always trusted her instincts and her instincts were telling that there was more to this sudden friendship between the two boys than meets the eye.

"At least i'm happy there all going to France too," Lenny grumbled as he turned the pages of his book vehemently. "Maybe that will give you a break from your paranoia for a while."

Stephanie spun and faced him with wide eyes as she held his arm resting on the table. "What?"

Lenny looked up and gave an exhausting sigh. "They are all going to France. Trevor, Lisa, Bruce, Caleb...all of them."

"Are you serious?"

Lenny replied with a cold glare. He didn't like it when she always thought he was joking, especially when he was serious.

"How do you know this?" She gave him an incredulous look.

Lenny pulled up his bag, dug into it and pulled out a file. He opened it and placed it on the table right infront of an astonished Stephanie. Stephanie didn't even know when her mouth fell open slightly as she stared at the complete list of students going for the trip. All forty of them. She turned her wide eyes to Lenny who was smirking beside her, but his smirk vanished when she narrowed her eyes at him in rage.

"You mean you were in charge of this list all along and knew that they were all going to France too and you didn't tell me?" Stephanie's voice was menacing as her eyes bored into Lenny.

"I-I..." Lenny shrugged as he started to stutter.

Stephanie hit the file with her finger with her hooded eyes still fixed on Lenny. "Put my name down. Right now."

"What?" Lenny's eyes widened. "I-I can't do that, the list is already full."

"I don't care."

"Come on Steph," Lenny groaned. "I could get in trouble."

Stephanie stared at him for a while, before her features softened. She then reached down, grabbed her bag and started packing her books in. "Fine," she said.

"Wha-what are you doing?" Lenny started at her with confusion. "Where are you going? We're not done yet."

Stephanie stood up, hung her backpack behind her and friend. "You can make a choice," she said as she lifted her chin. "Getting in trouble with Mrs. Clarice, or ending our friendship."

Lenny's mouth fell open as he watched her turn away and strut down the hall. He looked down at the list and drove his fingers through his hair at his current situation. He could get in serious trouble if he added or replaced any names. He also knew he and Stephanie would never stop being friends, no matter what she says, but if he didn't put her name down, she would probably not talk to him until graduation.

Lenny kept his eyes on the list and shook his head. Stephanie was a real pain in the ass.

Chapter 23

"Ladies and Gentlemen, flight 197 bound for Paris will be boarding in ten minutes," the ladies voice from the intercoms echoed all over the waiting hall of the airport.

"Sure," Nadia rolled her eyes. "Why not add ten more minutes to the one hour we've been waiting here."

"We just came too early, I guess," Caleb shrugged in response.

Trevor sat there with his arms around Lisa's shoulders along with everyone waiting for thier flight. He took a moment to observe his vicinity. The excitement on the faces of the students could not be hidden. He turned away and noticed a little boy playing with a superman action figure. The boy caught Trevor's eye on him and smiled as his face turned red. He was really shy and very adorable. Trevor smiled back at him and watched as he ran back and crashed on his mother's lap. Trevor looked up to the other corner and caught the eyed of three girls on him. Two of them looked away immediately, but one of them, who really looked slutty, still had her eyes on him with a smirk pulling on her lips slowly.

"Why did it take you so long to get here anyway?" Lisa looked up from her phone and asked.

Trevor turned and faced her with a smile on his face, knowing she was just pulling his attention from the flirtatious girls. "I'm here, aren't I?" He replied as he pulled her close and kissed her head.

A few hours ago, all the students had met at the school premises where the list was called out and everyone got on the school bus. Well, everyone except Trevor who had to be driven to the airport by his mother all because he woke up late.

"Holy shit!" Trevor had yelled when saw the time on his bedside alarm clock read . He didn't even take a shower, he just hurried up and put on some clothes. The fight was supposed to leave by 9:00PM that evening, and Trevor had fallen asleep right after soccer practice that same day, forgetting he was meant to go back at about four-thirty to get on the school bus to the airport. He had picked up his phone and felt his stomach drop when he saw nine missed called and thirteen messages.

Lisa: Where R U

Caleb: Dude, are you serious right now?

Nadia: Yo! TREEEVVVVOOOORR!

Lisa: I hope the only reason U have for missing this bus is that you're dead, Cuz if not, I'LL KILL U MYSELF! angry

Megan: Hey Trevor, R U OK?

Lisa: Why aren't you picking up! for God Sake Trevor!

Caleb: Pick up your damned phone, man!

"Bleep! Bleep! Bleep! fuuuuuck!" He kept exclaiming as he danced around his room while trying to pull up his black jeans to his waist. He thanked God he had already packed up his luggage the previous night, and to think he did not want to, but his mother persuaded him. He started to think hard. He started to figure out a way to get to the airport in less than an hour. His mom wasn't home and she had taken his car to work, today of all days because hers was with the mechanic.

"Oh God," he ran his hands through his blond hair. "I'm bleeped."

He opened his phone and checked his Uber app, but he hesitated when he realised the nearest Uber could be miles away. This was Suburbia. Then, like the sound of angels from heaven, Trevor heard his mother's car roar into the drive way. He dragged his luggage and ran out of the house. His mother had bearly left the car when she saw her son.

"Trevor?" She looked slightly surprised. "You're still here? I thought-"

"No time to think mum," he said as he opened the back door of the car and threw his bags in the back seats without even glancing at his mum for approval. "We've got to go..like now."

"Wha-what are you..," Mrs Bowman kept spinning about in confusion. "Go where?"

"The airport mummy!" Trevor yelled as he opened and passenger door and dropped to the seat. "The airport! come on! let's go! let's go!"

"Okay Okay!" She said as she sat back in and pulled out the drive way. Thank God she had not switched of the engine. As they drove, Trevor looked agitated. He kept kept hitting the dashboard and saying "Hurry mum! Hurry!"

He felt his phone buzz in his pocket before he pulled it out and looked into it.

Caleb: Dude, what's up with you. You're scaring everyone.

He then typed a quick response.

Trevor: Chill. OMW!

At a point, he even told his mother to drive faster.

"I'm on a Ninety for God Sake," she replied as she darted her eyes between her son and the road. "How much faster do you want me to go?""

Trevor barely allowed her finish before he replied bluntly. "One -eighty?"

Mrs Bowman scoffed in response. "You're crazy."

They eventually got to the airport on time and Trevor saw Caleb and Lisa at the parking lot. He and his mum said their good byes and kisses and she told him to call her when he lands. She wanted to stay with him till he boarded, but he insisted she go home and rest. She was coming from work after all.

Caleb hurried over and held his shoulder before he helped him with his luggage while Lisa just stood there waiting for him to come over. She did not look happy.

"You scared the shit out of us man," Caleb said.

"Practice got the best of me."

Trevor walked over to Lisa with his arms open for a hug.

"Ba....Ouch!" He exclaimed as he held his chest after she reached out and punched him hard. He scowled up at her as he rubbed his chest.

"That's hurt."

"Good," she said, before she turned and walked into the building.

"Ladies and Gentlemen men, Paris flight 197 is now boarding, I repeat, Paris flight 197...now boarding," the female voice on the intercoms pulled Trevor back to reality. He looked round and saw all the students standing up from thier seats. Some of them who were as sleep were being tapped awake.

"Finally," Aaron said, as he stood and stretched his arms.

"Yeah," Bruce added. "My ass was killing me."

"Okay guys," Mrs Clarice hurried over with a flight attendant and ushered them. "This way please. This way."

The students began to follow the teacher as if they were zombies. There were so tired, they practically dragged themselves all the way.

Trevor grabbed both his box and Lisa's and started to move. He then paused when he felt as though he was forgetting something, or someone.

"Baby," Lisa called to him. He looked up and caught her concerned gaze as she stopped. "Are you okay?"

He raised his hand and waved with a smile to signal he was fine before he shook the feeling and kept moving.

The students all board the plane and got thier seats. Trevor was seating with Caleb, while Lisa was with the paranoid ref haired girl. The girl Caleb obviously liked but didn't want to admit it. He wondered what she was doing on the plane though, because he knew she didn't take French.

Aaron and Bruce were together and Trevor saw Lenny, the water boy, seat alone.

"Duude," Caleb chuckled. "We're going to France."

Trevor gave him a kind smile in response before he pulled out his phone. "Yep."

"You think it's going to suck that we can't speak French?" Caleb asked with Uncertainty.

"Why is that so important all of a sudden?"

Caleb shrugged. "Well, I'm just saying. You may not need it, but I may just need it get myself some French Ass. You know what i'm saying?"

Trevor laughed and turned to Caleb. "Thought you had a girlfriend already?"

Caleb scowled at Trevor. "What are you talking about?"

With a smirk on his face, Trevor slowly turned and pointed in Lisa's direction, before he turned and saw the crease on Caleb's face as he searched for what Trevor was showing him. When Caleb's face softened, Trevor knew he had seen her. Trevor kept his eyes on Caleb to register his reaction. He held himself from laughing when he saw the way Caleb became uneasy and started to blink rapidly.

"You okay, dude?" Trevor asked with a smirk.

Caleb turned and gave Trevor a look that was meant to be stern, but he failed. "She's not my girl friend."

"Yeah, Right," Trevor looked away and chuckled as he went through his phone.

"Where the hell have you been?" Mrs Clarice's voice was louder enough to get everyone's attention, including Trevor's. "You're lucky we did not leave you."

Trevor looked up and noticed she was talking to someone outside the door of the plane. The air hostess and Mrs Clarice were still making conversations with whoever it was that was outside the door. Probably another late students that was being reprimanded for his or her lateness.

"I guess you're not the last sucker take it on the trip after all huh?" Caleb teased his best friend.

"Shut up," Trevor replied with a scowl.

"Now get in and take the seat with Foster," Mrs Clarice ordered as she pointed to Lenny's seat. "Quickly."

Trevor looked up in time to see Lance walk in to the plane with a large backpack that looked like he was going camping. He reached up and opened the compartment for bags above his seat, pushed his bag in and closed it. He was about to seat down when his eyes landed on Trevor a few seats behind him.

Trevor felt that lump in his throat again. He didn't know why, but he felt uneasy. That feeling of hatred he had come to like everytime he saw Lance was back again, but he knew it wasn't just hatred. It was hatred laced in something else. Something more....pleasant. Even after Lance had looked away and dropped to his seat, Trevor kept his eyes in his direction. It was disturbing that deep down inside, Trevor wasn't even questioning why he was here. Instead, his mind kept asking why he was late. What took him so long?

"Dude," Caleb nudged at Trevor's shoulders. "Did you hear what I just asked?"

"Huh?" Trevor turned to him as if he had just realised Caleb was seat next to him. "What?"

Caleb nodded in the direction of Lance's seat. "Lance, man," his voice was low. "He doesn't take French. What is he doing here?"

The two boys looked towards Lance's seat and watched him plug his ears with his ear phones.

"I don't know," Trevor gave a reply that wasn't just meant for Caleb, but for him as well.

"Will that be all Mrs Clarice?" The Air hostess asked in an impeccable French accent.

"Yes dear," Mrs Clarice gave her a polite smile as she made her way to her seat. "Thank you very much."

After a few minutes, the cylindrical interior started to wobble as the aircraft started to move down the run way and the voice of a woman echoed again, this time, asking passengers to please fasten their seat belts.

Chapter 24

Lance

An hour into the flight, Lance began to feel a wave of regret rise within him. Why the hell did he decide to come on this trip anyway? It was unlike him. The plane would bounce alittle when it hit a slight turbulence and Lance would bury himself further into his seat and further tighten his already tightened grip on the arm of his seat. He had worn his ear phones to make him feel more at ease, but when the plane started jerking at a point, he pulled them off.

"Are you okay?" Lance heard Lenny ask, before he turned and caught his curious and concerned eyes on him.

Lance looked away immediately. "I'm fine."

"You sure? You don't look so good," Lenny went on. "You're sweating real bad."

Lance looked down at his chest and realised Lenny was right. He didn't even notice how much he was sweating. The top of his shirt was already soaked and probably his back as well. Beads of start had somehow materialised on his arms and head.

"Shit."

"You're nervous about flying, huh?" Lenny said.

Lance looked up and felt slightly annoyed when he saw Lenny trying to hide his amusement at his predicament.

"Mind your fucking business," Lance glared at him and hissed.

Lenny's smile disappeared in an instant as he sank back into his seat.

Lance picked up his earphones and put them back in his ears. He picked up his phone and scrolled through his play list, looking for the most relaxing piece of music he could find. He stopped when he saw 'If you're not the one' by Daniel Bedingfield and immediately tapped the screen. As soon as the song started, Lance closed his eyes and felt the entire world disappear. He felt the entire world melt around him. Nothing else mattered anymore, no one else existed. Just he and Daniel. Lance allowed his mind to drift. He allowed his senses to be led by Daniel's remarkable voice, into a different dimension. A dimension he had always wished he could stay in forever.

'I don't wanna run away, but I can take I don't understand.'

Lance, still with his eyes closed, held himself from singing along to the heart warming chorus.

'If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell that I am?'

Lance heard that line and suddenly, just one person came to his mind.

Trevor.

Lance slowly opened his eyes with his head still relaxed on his seat. He turned to his side and saw Lenny concentrating on a game he was playing on his phone. Without think twice, Lance spun quickly and glanced in Trevor's direction, as if to check of he was still on the plane. He had to be careful so Trevor wouldn't catch him staring, but he was somewhat disappointed when he realised Trevor was concentrating on someone else. Lance saw Trevor smirking at someone on the opposite side of the aisle. His eyes looked seductive. When Lance followed his gaze, he felt the blood in his veins boil when his eyes landed on an equally smiling Lisa. Trevor and Lisa where flirting with each other and for reason, it mad Lance furious. He did a good job of holding it down though. Lance spun back to face the seat before him and exhaled. He had noticed his breathing had turned heavy and the taste of his mouth was bitter. He was clearly seething.

Lenny stretched a hand full of gummy bears candy to Lance's view. "Gummy bears?"

Without even glancing at him, Lance lifted his right hand and vehemently waved Lenny's palm out of his view, causing the candies to be thrown into the air, scattering them all over the floor.

"Hey," Lenny protested with a scowl as he recoiled in shock, but Lance didn't even look at him. With the music still playing to his ears, Lance took his eyes off the back of the chair before him and gazed out the window at the clouds floating by.

Trevor

Trevor turned to Caleb who was looking about his window. "Hey,Dude," Trevor's voice was almost a whisper.

Caleb spun to face him. "Sup?"

"Do me a favour," Trevor said. "Exchange seats with Lisa, please."

Caleb's mouth fell open slightly. He didn't know what to say. He glanced in Lisa direction and then back at Trevor's pleading blue eyes. He had seen them flirting with each other for almost twenty minutes now and he knew something like this would probably happen.

"Wha-what about her?" Caleb nodded in the direction of Lisa's seat.

"Who?"

"Stephanie."

Trevor glanced at Lisa's seat and back to his friend. "What about her?" Trevor asked in confusion.

Caleb deadpaned. "Dude, she hates me."

"How do you know that?"

Caleb opened his mouth, but when nothing came out, he closed it back and dropped his shoulders in defeat. Trevor felt a smile tug on his lips. It was weird, but he found this attribute about Caleb quite adorable. That childlike innocence that Caleb had when it came to girls. He didn't have a girl friend, not because he didn't want one, but because he didn't feel confident enough to get one. Caleb was very different from Aaron and Bruce and that must have been the reason why Trevor trusted him quite well. Not that he didn't trust the others though, but Caleb was closer to his heart.

Trevor took kept his eyes on Caleb's furrowed brows and held his amusement. Girls would never believe that someone as handsome and charming as Caleb Dickson tended to be shy around the opposite sex. If Stephanie knew Caleb the way Trevor did, she would be crazy not to snatch him up in a heart beat. But hey, if you move with the bad apples, you are also seen as a bad apple, like it of not, right?

"Well," Trevor shrugged. "Don't you like her?"

Caleb frowned at Trevor, but even the frown could not hide the fact that he was taken unawares by that question. "Wha-what do you- I don't k.ow what you are talking about."

Trevor gave his friend a kind smile.

"Stop smiling," Caleb shook his head as he himself tried to hold down a laugh. "It's not funny."

"Come on man," Trevor begged. "Do this for a brother."

"You're not my brother," Caleb said with mischievous smirk.

"Please," Trevor said.

Caleb exhaled and looked over in Lisa's direction. He thought for a while before he raised his shoulders and sighed. "Fine."

Trevor grabbed his head, pulled him close and kissed his cheeks.

"Eww, dude," Caleb groaned a protest.

"Thanks a lot man," Trevor said as he patted Caleb's shoulders. "You're the best."

Caleb got to his feet and started to move past Trevor. "Whatever, Caleb said, then he faced Trevor and warned. "But of Mrs Clarice finds out, you're on your own."

"Yeah, yeah," Trevor uttered as he ushered him away without even giving a damn what he was saying. "Whatever."

Caleb made his way to Lisa's seat, while Lisa kept a malicious smile as she moved in the opposite direction.

Caleb stopped half way and looked at Lisa. "Just don't have sex on my seat, and we're good."

"Eww," Lisa uttered as she punched his shoulders and kept moving.

"Ouch." Caleb replied and kept moving as well. He got to the seat and froze when he saw Stephanie. She had her head buried in a novel she was reading. He studied her for a while. The crease on her face as she eyes moved from left to right. Caleb thought it was cute. He thought of calling her attention with a 'Hello', but then he remembered his history with her and suddenly thought against.

Caleb dropped to Lisa's seat and sighed, hoping to get Stephanie's attention, but she didn't eve move. He was sure wasn't even aware of the exchange that had been made. Caleb sat there, unsure of what to do. He rubbed his sweaty palms on his jeans covered laps. His palms were sweating. Why were his palms sweating?

Caleb's heart skipped a beat when he heard Stephanie sigh before she dropped her book. He turned and saw her adjust her glasses and yawn.

"She's going to turn and see me," Caleb thought as a knot tightened in his stomach. "Shit, shit, shit."

Stephanie turned to her left and her eyes immediately landed on Caleb who had a smile on his face.

"What's up?" Caleb uttered.

Stephanie's eyes widened, before she turned and looked in the direction of Trevor's seat and saw Trevor and Lisa cuddled together and kissing. She turned back and faced Caleb.

"You've got to be kidding me," she said.

Caleb chose to ignore her reaction, before he looked down at the book on her laps. "What are you reading?"

Stephanie did not reply. She just picked up her novel and held it to her face to continue reading.

"What's the book about?"

"Please stop talking to me," Stephanie bearly allowed him finish his question before she replied with her eyes still planted on her novel.

Caleb chuckled. "I don't get it," he said. Why so rude?"

Stephanie dropped her book and glared at him. "Because I don't like you."

"You don't like me?" Caleb kept the smile on his face and trying very hard to hide his nervousness. Besides, the smile seemed to piss her off and he liked it. "I didn't ask you for sex, I just asked what you were reading."

Stephanie's eyes narrowed at him as rage coursed through her. She raised her book to her face again before turning away from him.

There was silence for some minutes before Caleb turned to her and asked again. "So are you going to tell me what the book is about or not?"

Stephanie slammed the book on her laps and spun to Caleb with rage in her eyes. "If you talk to me again, i'll let Mrs Clarice know that someone has decided to jump his seat number," she spat. "Find some other girl to shag and use for your French trip."

Stephanie saw a flash of something in Caleb's eyes. She wasn't sure, but she could swear Caleb was hurt by her remark. But then, that mischievous smile came back on his face again and she turned away.

Caleb looked away from her and faced forward. He tried to hide it, but he couldn't. He felt hurt by what she had just said. He could she possibly think that he wanted to use her. He felt like he should be made at her for thinking about him that way, but that was the thing. He just couldn't get mad at her for some reason, no matter what she told him.

Caleb turned and glanced at the red haired girl beside him. Her head was buried in the book once more. She hates him so much. She thought he was the devil, but for Caleb, the feeling was certainly not mutual.

Chapter 25

For those of you who don't understand French, you can just copy and paste the French sentences to Google Translate to make your reading experience better, because now, na France we dey oh!

All the students clapped and cheered when the pilot announced thier arrival as the plane coursed down the runway of Charles de Gualle airport in Paris.

The passengers all deplaned and the students made thier way into the airport as they were being ushered by thier French teacher.

As they all moved in, a man who was standing at the entrance of the building smiled as soon as his eyes landed on Mrs Clarice in the distance. The man then began to walk over to them before he opened his arms when he got close.

"Bonjour, bienvenue en France," he said cheerfully as he pulled in Mrs Clarice for a hug.

"Merci, Roger," Mrs Clarice smiled as she hugged him back.

The man pulled away and looked at the students with the smile still on his face. He looked nice. "Welcome guys," he said in a French accent. "Welcome to France."

He looked quite nice and friendly.

Some of the students just smiled while others responded with a kind, 'Thank you'.

Mrs Clarice and the man turned to face each other as they exchanged pleasantries and discussed in French.

"Damn," Caleb uttered from right beside Trevor. "Paris is really cold."

Trevor smiled at him. "Not that cold," he said. "I mean, we're still in the summer you know."

"Yeah?" Lisa added as she moved in close and held Trevor's strong arms. "Well I like the cold weather. It's the best weather for two."

Trevor looked down at her and the both of them kissed each other on the lips.

"Ugh...you two should get a room," Nadia hissed from behind them with Aaron's arm over her shoulder.

Trevor threw his head back in laughter and Lisa turned to face Nadia was a malicious smile on her face. "Jealous much?"

Mrs Clarice then called thier attention and introduced the nice man to them as Monsieur Roger Aurand. She said they went to school together and that he was a lecturer at Université de Paris.

"Who cares?" Bruce whispered in the midst of his friends.

"Yeah," Aaron followed. "Where are the French girls at?"

They all laughed.

"He's going to be our guide for the entire one week that we will be spending in Paris." Mrs Clarice announced.

Before long, they all got on a bus that was that took them from the Airport, straight to the hotel that they were going to be staying. As the bus drove by, the students inside where all glued to thier windows, admiring the outside world while some others, like Lance, didn't really give a damn.

"Wow," Lisa uttered in a childlike awe as she looked out the window at the city passing them by. "It's so beautiful."

"Paris," Nadia said fondly with her eyes fixed outside her window as she cuddled with Aaron. "The city of love."

"I'd really like to move here after college and stuff, you know," Caleb said.

Trevor turned to him with furrowed brows. "Why?" He asked. "Tired of the States already?"

Caleb shrugged. "Don't know. Maybe."

Trevor looked back out the window and wished they would arrive at the hotel soon because he really had to pee.

"This would be the perfect place for our honeymoon," Megan said in excitement as she looked from the window and glanced at Bruce beside her. "Right, Babe?"

Yeah," Bruce scoffed. "Whatever."

"Slow down, girl," Nadia coughed out a laugh. "You too haven't even made it to college together and you're already talking about a honeymoon in Paris?"

They all laughed. Trevor threw his head back in laughter and looked down at Lisa who was just smiling at him.

"What?"

"I don't know," she said, as she looked down at her hands and back to his eyes. "I was just thinking."

"About what?" He reached up and pulled a strand of her black her behind her ears.

"Are we still going to be together? you know, when we get to college?" She asked with hesitation.

Trevor opened his mouth to speak, but paused. He studied Lisa's eyes for a while and felt a knot tighten in his stomach.

"Of course," the words flew out of his mouth.

A smile grew on Lisa's face as she stared at him. "Really?"

Trevor reached down and traced his fingers on the side of her face. "Yes," he said softly. "Really." They both closed in for a kiss afterwards.

When they pulled away, Lisa rested her head on Trevor's shoulders as he wrapped his left around her. As they both looked outside the bus, Trevor didn't know why, but he felt as if he had just lied to his girlfriend.

Stephanie and Lenny

"Hey look," Lenny said in amazement as he raised his Phone to capture the structure that was hundreds of miles away from his window. "It's the Eiffel tower."

He turned to face Stephanie, but sighed when he saw her looking back at Trevor and his crew at the back of the bus with disgust on her face.

"Why don't you just satisfy yourself by going back there and shooting them all in the head," Lenny said with a fake smile.

"Too bad I don't have a gun," Stephanie replied with a frown as she finally turned away from them. "That would have been fun."

Lenny chuckled and took his attention back to the world outside his window with his phone still up and recording.

She came close to Lenny. "You won't believe Caleb came over and sat with me in the plane," she hissed.

"..because Trevor needed to snuggle up a little with his girlfriend," Lenny shrugged. "So?"

"You saw us?"

"Of course I did," Lenny coughed out a laugh. "I was laughing my ass off when I saw the both of you seating next to each other. That was fun."

Stephanie shot him a hard glare before she raised her novel to her face again. "No it wasn't."

Lenny dropped his phone and turned to her. "Wait a minute," he began. "Why are you here?"

She turned to him. "Huh?"

"Paris. Why did you come to Paris?"

"You know why," she shrugged. "Something fishy is going on between Trevor, Lance and Trevor's friends and I want to find out in time to warn Lance. That's all."

"Exactly," Lenny nodded his head. "...and how are you going to do that when you are not eve part of thier group? How are you going to get all the info?"

Stephanie paused and furrowed her brows in thought.

Caleb Dickson. He was the only way in. He was her passport to all this. she had figured it a while ago that he was the one she was going to use, but she thought it would be hard since the jack as was really annoying. She remembered trying to apologise to him even, but he was being an asshole as usual, but on the plane, he actually wanted to start a conversation with. He gave her the green light. Stephanie faced Lenny with a smile.

Lenny gave her a proud smile too before he faced his window again.

Trevor

The bus finally slowed to a stop infront of a large five story building that looked quite old, but well maintained. The was a banner on the top of the ground floor that read 'Hotel du Regent'

"Doesn't look expensive," Lisa said to Trevor.

"Welcome to Le Regent Montmartre," Mr Aurand announced as he ushered them in. The reception was simple. Large lamps hanging from the ceiling and large vases of flowers at every corner. A pretty receptionist emerged from the large blue country and smile at them.

"Bonjour," she said. Her voice was so sweet. "Comment puis-je vous aider?"

"Bonjour," Mrs Clarice and Mr Aurand replied in unison.

"Pouvons-nous avoir les chambres de l'auberge s'il vous plaît?" Mrs Clarice said as she walked over to the counter.

Trevor turned away from the Mrs Clarice and face Lisa beside him. "We are definitely staying in a room together."

Lisa gave him a shy smile. "Okay then."

Trevor suddenly remembered he was pressed and walked over to ask a lady who was mopping the floor for the toilet.

The woman looked a up at him and pointed down a hall. "Au bout du couloir, première porte à gauche," she said with a kind smile.

Trevor suddenly wished he paid attention in French class. He walked over in the direction the woman had pointed and stopped. He was at a drag end. There was no sign of a toilet or even a door for that matter.

"Oh shit," he cussed under his breath as he brought his hands down and grabbed his crouch. He could swear his bladder was about to burst. He

"Oh God, Oh God,Oh God," he kept groaning as he held the space between his legs and danced around as if someone had hit him on his penis.

"Au bout du couloir, première porte à gauche," A familiar voice repeated what the cleaner had told him earlier. Trevor spun and saw Lance smiling at him mischievously.

"What?" Trevor's voice was hard and harsh. He was in no mood for Lance's nonsense at the moment. His bladder was about to explode.

"Down the hall," Lance said, before he raised his hands and pointed to the left side of the hall. "..first door on the left."

Trevor followed Lance's pointing fingers with his eyes and landed on another small hallway. He went in and saw two doors. One with the inscription 'Toilettes pour femme' on it. He reached for the door knob and was about to go in.

Lance started to laugh and Trevor froze. "What?" Trevor growled.

"That's the female toilet, bro."

Trevor turned to the side and noticed another door with the inscription 'toilette masculine' on it. Trevor reached for the knob and pushed the door open. He darted straight for one of the wall toilets, unzipped, pulled his member out and began to urinate. Trevor didn't even know when he closed his eyes as he eased himself.

He heard the door slam shut gentle, before he turned and saw Lance standing there with his eyes on him as he shook his head with a smirk on his face. He just knew the asshole was probably calling him a Dumbass in his mind.
