Seniors in the house, I seriously need your counsel as I'm in a terrible dilemma. I am currently in the pool with 447, I have the chance of boosting my score to 450 if I remark and get an upgrade from 7 to 7.5 for ielts writing. I'm however caught in between whether or not to do that. My birthday is February.

Thanks all.

Please do a remark and also schedule to write the test again. You can try MOD if the earlier was with BC. The earlier the better because no one knows if they intend to drop the cut off below 450 this year, at the rate they are going.

All the best.

I'm back o, for those people that used ICES for evaluation did you get any email indicating that your evaluation was done and will/has been dispatched?.

I checked my profile today and I saw that my evaluation has been complete but I'm yet to get an email or anything about delivery.

ladymarshall:
Congratulations!!! It ended in praise finally.

Thank you for sharing your script. Very elaborate.

God was faithful to you, some applications won't pass R10 completeness stage with the missing degree certificates

Also I'm just imagining the conversation:

"Your passport please?" "My dog ate it." "Excuse me?" *adjusts glasses* "I said, my dog ate it. I don't have it" *strange looks* "I wasn't careless, the dog carelessly ate from an opened bag lying carelessly by itself on the floor" "oh you weren't careless, OK" grin grin grin

You score 9/10

All the best in Canada

Congratulations @topsmamen. Great work you have been doing on the thread, ever since your sister @dumprep called you out from being behind the scenes in that her delicious PPR testimony. You were a pillar for her and have been doing similar to people on here. You sure are a great fellow.
God bless you, and I'm sure he would go ahead of you to make way for you over there.

I am just gonna do as if I didn't give a side eye that it was hephgirl that announced your PPR arrival. If it was gonna be anybody else, one would have hoped for it to be ifeoma77. I had to recheck the poster. I was rooting (fighting) for her.

Guess writing funnily and dramatically runs in the family. You and your sister wrote interesting stories, drawing beautiful pictures with your words.

I hope we get to meet and hangout some day over there.

@ladymarshall, please mark this script with plagiarism in mind. Compare his and dumprep's script. If necessary, call them into separate rooms and give them new paper to ascertain who wrote the two.

Amen. Thank you much bro. Lmao! grin. Actually, @Ifeoma77 was still mourning Thanos' demise tongue so I didn't want to be a bother.
Lol@plagiarism.....ah! Even with a lie detector test, you won't get us o. Lol.

Right now I don’t have a passport Cos my dog ate it, and no! I wasn’t careless. The dog picked it from my opened bag on the floor in my room. (lesson here, be extra careful with your documents) and the new one isn’t ready yet but it should be out before 15 days I have to submit my passport for VISA.

Congrats again WhizzyG. Your dog though. It didn't see any other thing like mint or chewing gum to eat eh?grin

Please follow up closely with the new passport.

Good day everyone, am so happy to be here. I need some clarifications before i start my Canadian EE journey please.
1) I started my MA studies in dec 2012 later i gained employment in nov. 2013 both on full time. how to i support this in my application?
2) i have a stepchild ( whose mother is late), can the child relocate with me as a dependent
3) i had my baby in the US in 2015, i actually spent like 5 months with visiting visa because i was given 6 months at the POE and i paid all my bills cash down. I still had my job during the period. Unfortunately, i was refused renewal of visa multiple times on the basis that the hospital gave me a discount. I got in contact with the hospital and I was told that it's her policy to give discount once you make self payment but till now, i have not been able to get US visiting visa. My question is, will this affect my chances of getting Canadian PR?

I will appreciate if i can get answers to all these my questions because i am so worried. Thank you.

Unfortunately I have no expertise in that area. I applied under the federal skilled worker program. I am also not sure that there is a thread on Nairaland for the federal skilled trades process. If I do find any information I'll let you know. You can start by taking out time to read up on the requirements on the link I sent, see the areas you can provide documents and the areas you need to obtain documents.

Abit not sure with your comment. The job experience gain from Co-OP seem to count from little research I have done.

- Mine wasn't bachelor degree. Its polytechnic, and I did 8 months coop after my first year.

_ My CELPIP result wasnt the very best
Listeninig 11
Reading 10
Writing 7
Speaking 7
.
Right now, I am on 432. with two Diploma, one in Nigeria the second in Canada. I have been able to pull off 2 year + experience and with age I got the highest, and extra point for sibling in Canada

Ah I see , you're likely losing points since its not a bachelors

And COOP definitely doesn't count , read this :

"
Can I count work experience that was part of my education toward the work requirement?

No. Co-op terms and apprenticeships completed before graduating do not count as skilled work experience. They are considered part of an educational program.

The work experience you can use to apply for the Canadian Experience Class must not have been gained while studying full time on a student permit (for example, experience gained while on a co-op work term).
"

My advice for you is to retake IELTS , ace it and your points should be high enough then
