. But this library noisy sha.... It's used more as a tourist attraction by people, and excursion/visits by schools, best bet is to read on the 4th floor in the art (brown) room.....a bit quiet there....

Thanks. Yes I know that on a general note. Please I want to know if the Proof of Fund will be taxed.

Thanks.

You're not taxed on the income you bring from Nigeria... You just report it so as to calculate your benefits... Like GST.... It does not form part of taxable income.

I donno who might see this but honestly I had to post this cos I'm so overwhelmed. I'm resuming for my PhD september in Kingston and going with my family. (We are a family of 3).
I've been trying to sort out the accommodation end. I dont think I should book an apartment just like that. I'm thinking a short stay airbnb for starters.
Anyone in Kingston that can recommend one or put me through. Abeg my brothers and sisters help a soul. Thanks

Hello everyone, pls permit my question.

Can I land a job (any kind) with a 4yr tourist/visit multiple entry visa?

The agent I'm discussing with said this is possible so I want to find out from gurus on ground already.

I'm a graduate of Mass Communication but I'm not a professional -have not been working with my certificate.

I've also posted this question on the Federal Skill Worker thread (before someone will say "this is not the right place to ask this question." cheesy

You are not supposed to work with a tourist/visit visa...i haven't landed yet either, so i am not a guru on ground.

You will probably call me a hater for saying this, but I will advise you though, going abroad without the right papers in this era, is just you going to suffer.
Try the student visa route, do a 2yrs program at least, that way you are sure of a route towards permanent residency.

@oluayebenz: Please don’t be offended about the question I am about to ask. I am asking the question because I am genuinely confused.

On another discussion thread, you mentioned to have lived in Canada before for 2 years (from 2014 to 2016) and you are here now asking question if somebody on visit visa can drive in Toronto with Nigeria driver’s license? Should you not know the answer to this question having lived in Canada for 2 years? Granted that you might not have lived in Ontario (where Toronto is located), but having lived that long anywhere in Canada should you not know the answer to your question?

oluayebenz:

That's how Canada exposed me to many opportunities in Nigeria. I left nigeria in 2014 with the mentality of living big abroad as if everything is easy over there which i ended up working my ass off with pay cheque which is not even enough to live good.
Fast forward to 2016 I sat myself down and think deeply cos I got a lot of dependant which canada situation can't help or else I will end up ignoring my dependants by not not letting them to know my contacts again.
Here we go April 2016 I decided to leave Canada to Nigeria cos I have a lot of business idea, thou right from the beginning business is in my blood.
When I decided to leave i inform my family about it my brothers, sisters, mom and my friends were all scared and wonder how can I decided such a silly thing to come back to nija. Sometimes self decision is the best. I kept mute I didn't listen until I carried out my plan, booked a one way ticket to nija, landed and the hustle started. Everybody are looking at me like let's see what will end u in Nigeria.

I dont know Why we Nigerians lose hope on our country as if these western world are paradise?

I went back to my business I was doing before I left for canada which is agriculture. I put some money I managed to save on it. Upgrade myself by advertising my products online, travelling around, visiting big big farms for sales cos I'm into poultry and I also sell foreign feed additives such as feed proteins and amino-acids.
These business I have been doing before I left for canada but the mentality of travelling out for greener pasture has eat deep in me, then I didn't work too smart cos I believe abroad is the only option to success.

To cut the long story short
I'm now a owner of a company.
We sale imported feed additives in case a farmer might be interested in buying.

Till today Canada door is still opened for me.
I was there 2 times this year, planning to go again next March thou for visiting online.

All my write up is all true cos I know some might want to quote me wrong. I swear
Some might wonder how come all these happen in 2yrs yes it's God's grace and focus.

Funny enough, a lot of people didn't believe all these till today, some believe I'm into Yahoo thing and even sarz always stop me while driving but when they see evidence they free me cos I'm just 29yrs still very young for face. I swear with my life I have never try that Yahoo Yahoo thing or ritual in my life. God is my witness.

@mile
Nigeria is the best if you have a very good business idea and fund to finance it.

I will never advice who's going for greener pasture abroad not to do it cos not everybody got business idea and everybody can't be a boss.
Some will live all their life on pay cheque while some is destined to be d boss. That's life.

I just joined nairaland cos if catch my attention especially this thread. One love

You can't land a good job without a social insurance number in Canada; and you can't get a social insurance number as a tourist. If you don't want to suffer, don't try the illegal route, either migrate through permanent residency or as a student.

Be patient and migrate properly!

Thanks for your response but like I said, I'm no professional! In fact, nothing to hide, I'm a driver so I believe d federal skill work isn't it for me. All I see there is doctors, engineers, nurses, accountants, teachers, programmers, etc.

Plus, Proof of Fund is another hindrance in the academic route u mentioned.

Thanks all d same.

Kai.....
Some people sef...

Living in Toronto 20yrs doesn't mean someone to know everything going on over there.

Cos I have lived there doesn't mean I should give someone info I'm not sure about.
Even the citizens will still ask you of what they are not sure about.

Do you know all rules and law in nigeria?

I'm yet to reply the lady involved cos I can't give info of what I'm not certain about.

Guy, dont count yourself out man!!! you a graduate of mass comm, and I believe you must have completed ur NYSC, those alone qualifies you for EE. All you need do is make out time each week and study for ielts and write it. It will only take time, but its better you come here with the right papers than with visiting visa.

You have visited the EE thread, so take out and understand the EE process, you don't need an agent.

Very rare. Most companies would ask if you will require a visa to work with them and if yes, the process ends there and you cant work with visitors visa
