From a friend and her boo (2010/2011) ... They were laughing to one thread " funny names of churches in Nigeria". In an attempt to show my friends I had to Google it up... And Viola! Nl has been a good 'go to' page.

Hmmm, 2009 introduced by a friend.

In 2006.. Via Google search.

There used to one very intelligent fellow back then with the moniker - Beef (Guy used to be a political analyst) very good one.

Back then the topics were better, ads and spam were minimal, conversations and member contributions were very very intelligent.

Above all, Bet9ja, Tonto Dike, BBNaija, Buhari, Afonja, Igbo, Regina Daniel, VPN, dating logs, Canada/US Visa, etc were non-existent!!

My first account was registered in 2008. Then this accout 2010.

That was back in Nov 2005, 2yrs after i left college. I stumbled upon the site while searching for a particular Pornosite. Back then na toh dey go cafe dey browse different website you've jotted down from bus and trailer wey dey move for road. Couldn't remember the account password anymore. Created another one 2 yrs later, dem don ban am for 50yrs. But NL has lost it sha.

That ashawo thread. I was looking for joints to while away time during my visit to Kaduna. Someone recommended I check the nairaland ashawo thread and it was useful.

A course mate told me about it. I kept viewing as a guest for about a year. Eventually signed up in 2013.

2012, those years when 2go was still my favorite social app. Was searching something online and it lead me straight to nairaland. Ever since then, nairaland has played an important role in my social life and I'm glad it did cos I can't do without it a day. I have learnt so many things here and I'm glad to have been a member on this great forum.

This topic keep pumping up every now and then...

My only regret is that I spent about 4 years visiting the site as a guest and only actually joined in 2011
