I discovered through my elder sister in year 2010/2011 then she was always checking for updates online, i liked the site and i was a guess for about 4years before i registered in 2015..

Funny enough my sister is still a guest, she hasn't register as a member since about 10years of reading news and checking for updates.

There used to one very intelligent fellow back then with the moniker - Beef (Guy used to be a political analyst) very good one.

Back then the topics were better, ads and spam were minimal, conversations and member contributions were very very intelligent.

Above all, Bet9ja, Tonto Dike, BBNaija, Buhari, Afonja, Igbo, Regina Daniel, VPN, dating logs, Canada/US Visa, etc were non-existent!!

Nairaland is my addiction and my recreation. Sometimes I want to abandon it, then I come back.

My annoyance with the site is all this Yoruba Vs Ibo thing. And all them bet 9ja bookies, and bloggers, and people responding with abuse to a point one makes.

I discovered Nairaland in 2011 when I started having doubt of the existence of God, I started searching proof of whether God exits or not on Google, I read from many website but it's on Nairaland I found the most interesting topics I like then plus people comment and exchanging of Ideas, Atheist vs Theist argument, I loved it, then I started searching for more while tagging Nairaland on search engine.

from there I started visiting the front page and reading Nigerian news, I tried to register many times but could not until 2012 I finally registered and became a member.

I used the account for over 7 years before the mods banned it for 10 years for no reason, like I said, they banned it FOR NO REASON, the mod that banned me thought they banned me before and I used another account, They are very stup!d for not checking,

I discovered nairaland from xvideos.

I thought nairaland will give me a better adult entertainment than xvideos.

I was hugely disappointed.

I discovered nairaland in 2011 while i was still studying at the university.

I met an Edo boy who made me intrigued about the culture of Nigeria.

I started searching about the relationship between Edo and Yoruba and I was directed by Google search to post made on nairaland a lot of time.

I Eventually registered my first moniker later that year.
