2009 or so. Was invited for a job interview in Lagos. I decide to Google the company name before traveling all the way down to Lagos. Google directed me to a thread were I realized it was a GNLD marketing scheme. That thread saved me money, time and stress of travelling down to Lagos. I was very grateful and since then, I kept visiting nairaland.

Really enjoyed the politics section then; I think Jarus was a politics mod then. I enjoyed the convo and argument featuring the likes of Beaf, aj_harem etc.

I saw my Dad browsing through it one day on his laptop and I checked back later on my own phone. I was impressed at the level of intelligence and the witty comments on fp then. It a sorry case now. The football section is what still keeps me coming.

Google search, I initially hated this site like die. Searching for something important, then I'd be redirected to nairaland, I'd just close the tab immediately.
I became a registered member this year, I've been a guest since 2008.

Through my brother in 2013. He told me Nairaland is where I can get the latest gist in the county. Ad then I started visiting. I’ve been a guest till last year and anytime I’m bored or down casted i always come here to read comments. It’ll surely lighten my mood
