When the energy is stolen, how does it get to you? Do you know how huge that is? Or you expect the distribution companies that are supposedly running at a loss to finance metering even when Fashola said it would cost about 220 billion naira? If it were that easy, the government would have cleared the metering mess prior to privatization. We all (government, power companies and the masses) have a role to play here, the bulk of which lies with the government.

Ghana charges 19.28$ per killowatt hour. That's 6928 naira.

Nigeria charges 8.10 cents IE 0.08 $ per killowatt hour. That's 29 naira.
