Okolinneoma:1. No 2. Make up your mind on the dr you will use. Guve him a call and book an appointment. Write down this details in your LOE. 3. Two options. Upload his statement like that and that of urs also. Or let him transfer the money to your account and explain the lodgment in your LOE. 4. I dont know. Seem so 5. There are some drs here that dont require referrsls from family dr. Read a few pages back. Details of their name has bern shared previously from peoples testimony. |

Hello people. I would love to give birth in Canada to give my child a better opportunity at life and obtain dual citizenship. Is 5 million naira enough for the whole expenses which is what my fiancé wants to give me. .will it cover the whole expenses starting from visa application fee to hospital fee to accommodation and till I obtain the child passport and a flight back to Nigeria |

Ruthiegal:I don't know if anyone will give you any specific figure. To better have a good projection, start reading from page 1 and be drafting the money/expenses you see. Those that got rejected and applied again and got visa: check their reasons, if it includes finance, and see what they did to get the visa. Your expenses will depend on so many things, your province of choice of birth, hospital, doctor, vaginal, CS, etc. Good luck with your adventure! |

Hi Drpak, Just want to state that your wife should be able to do her Xray with the use of a shield, so it doesn't delay her SOWP. There are several high-end hospitals that have the shield including the ones recommended by CIC in Ikoyi, Lagos... (can't remember the exact name...something Consultants) I can't respond to your question about not misinterpreting intent, but if you decide to go ahead with the tourism route, I would advise that you add a strong and convincing LOE stating why you want your wife to be with you during childbirth and why she can't do an xray, and how you have the capacity to pay for her medical expenses (using the guidelines stated in this thread) plus the fact that she will return to Nigeria after her maternity leave is over, pending the completion of her other application. Above all...commit it all to GOD and pray that HIS will be done! Drpak: |

Hi JESUnifemi4eva, Thank you so much for this. I think Consultants Practice is no longer one of the panel physicians recommended by CIC. I will check with other clinics if they can do it with a shield. Thanks and God bless you! JESUnifemi4eva: |

aye88:Thanks for the reply @aye88, very detailed but I have a follow up question regarding number 2, I have called half of the doctors on Scarborough health network but all need referral from a family doctor resident in Canada. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Canada by scorpio1(m): 9:23pm On May 27, 2019 |
Hotstepper:Called Dr Ayodele office but they say he doesn't do any correspondence but once you get yourself to his clinic, you will be well taken care of... @hotstepper what can I do at this stage to get some clinic to correspond with and possibly get an appointment? |

good afternoon house,a big shout out to Hotstepper and a good number of people who have been contributing Greatly here. I'm new here, and have read a good number of pages.I'm already five months gone and I intend to apply online. but the problem is that my husband is based in an African country hence his business is not registered here rather in that country. And He's my sponsor, can a letter from him attesting that he's my husband alongside our wedding certificate and his registered business over there cover me up? secondly can I just apply for tourism or should I equally state that I'm birthing there and seek for doctors correspondence? if Yes please like how long does it take to get a correspondence from a doctor as I don't really have much time left. sorry for the long post but please help a sister out. God bless you all Greatly amen. |

No dr in canada will give u such so have that in mind. the system here is very diff from the US. What you should do is to try and get drs appointment instead and include it in ur LOE. Also please make sure the dr who agrees to give u appt is thr dr u will use scorpio1: |
| Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 4:28pm On May 28, 2019 |
Since your hubby will be sponsoring then let him write the letter nd submit all his docs and the ones you listed here. No dr will give you letter so find one who will agree to give u appt. good luck ajajd: |

Okolinneoma:If you choose "other" as travel purpose, you'll be prompted to provide invitation letter. Your doctor's appointment letter should be in that column. My opinion . I will suggest you put your letter of explanation, flight and hotel in "client information" since there's no option for "purpose of travel anymore. |

. Was checked and sent back home and wasn't billed for the service. 2am on March 22nd, fell into labour and rushed to the hospital again. Was checked and told I was still a long way off and to just wait for my Dr to come start the induction in the morning. At that point I had to ask for my epidural as the pain was already doing my head in. Long story short, 5mins after the nurse just checked and told me I was only 3cm dilated, baby boy showed up. The anesthesiologist didnt even make it to me. Delivery(or what was left of the event), placenta Delivery, stitching up were taken by the Dr on call.
