Dear...if I tell you how I feel eehh.
it is just a loss for the super eagles...in the long run.
just take a look at Senegal...they may likely gets some good recruit from their team into the national team....

but here we are..... a lazy ass coach who barely know what football entails all the time he coached an NPFL side he never won any trophy to save his life.....
what makes you think we won't get some good recruits from this team?

Just because a team is poor in a tournament, does not mean there won't be a few good players in the long run.

losing does not mean Aigbogun will lose his job, losing means a lot of these boys, some of who are actually U20, will miss out on the chance to showcase their talent.

Eventually, Aigbogun will hardly be the loser. Once you have your NFF connections, if you like, lose three tournaments back to back, e no mean.

Wijnaldum and Mane were at a higher level than Samu is at the moment when they moved to Liverpool(more experienced as well).
Wijnaldum scored 11 league goals as a CM at Newcastle in his first season before moving to Liverpool. This also came after being captain of PSV and scoring 14 league goals from midfield too.
Mane was chased by Manure and Arsenal before he signed for Liverpool. Infact Van Gaal made him his top target that season and did everything in his power to get him.
Samu is super talented with massive massive potential. However, people should remember he'll be up against Mane and Salah if he signs for Liverpool.
All these examples of Gomez, Matip and Robertson makes no sense at all. The caliber of competition they faced is child play compared to what Samu will.
Truth is if Samu moves to Liverpool he won't become a regular until one of Salah or Mane leaves.
Expecting a Robertson and Gomez like breakthrough is a bit crazy.

Exactly.

the mention of seyi ojo made him give in to the argument....
seyi ojo is one of his boys...

I don't think you know about the history of Sheyi Ojo at Liverpool. So it is expedient you have a piece of it.

Fact still remains that Sheyi Ojo played and performance well when he was given the chance to prove himself at Liverpool.

Yes I agree wijnaldum and mane are at higher level than chuks nah

But anybody can be bought to the Liverpool team

Robertson was bought from hull

Coutinho was fvcking average before Liverpool o ,he was not a starter at inter Milan he was even loaned back to Brazil before espanyol loan

I remember coutinho playing with kalu uche at espanyol

Liverpool made coutinho world class .

Chuks is an average young player ,Liverpool can turn him to something else

I have already said chuks won't start at Liverpool he will have limited game time from the bench

My argument was komekn mentioning seyi ojo and co who I know chuks is better than

It is not, they are at higher level but they have been at the higher level before coming to Liverpool.

Marko Grujic is the only player that Klopp has signed and sent on loan.. I've said it several times here, Klopp is very much in charge of transfers at Liverpool and he doesn't sign players he doesn't need..
And if you read my post clearly you would have seen that I mentioned that Chukwueze is being scouted to replace Shaqiri if he leaves.. Shaqiri managed to play 30 games even as a squad player... I don't see why Chukwueze can't get that amount of game time too. Your beloved Solanke wasn't half as good as Chukwueze when Klopp signed him but he still managed to get into the first team and play 27 games, so why won't Chukwueze get that number of games too??

When was Solake bought?

his appointment was shroud with so much secrecy...it was influence that gave him the job not really base on merit.

He has a UEFA coaching license so pls stop with all this witch hunting. Even Abdu Maikaba was forced to be his assistant because of his qualification.

There was no secrecy he got hired along with the other age grade coaches.

Breakdowns and Scouting failure: Hot takes from Nigeria's loss to USA

Even as the Flying Eagles routed Qatar 4-0, the warning signs were clear and ominously present. The inexperienced Qatari moved better, passed the ball better, exploited openings better and carved the Nigerians open with ease that was at times embarrassing.
Their only drawback was the lack of efficiency in front of goal. It was clear that the Flying Eagles style would not survive much sterner scrutiny.
And the USA duly proved it on Monday. Here are three takeaways from the game.

SCOUTING FAILURE STARTS COLLAPSE
One of the most important things a coach does going into a game is prepare for the opposition by scouting them to the minutiae. Especially for a tournament where the draws had been made in advance.
Failing that however, the next best thing is to use the opening five to 10 minutes to assess the opposition, how they defend, how they attack and what weaknesses there are to exploit.
The USA played soon after Nigeria’s game against Qatar. Paul Aigbogun and his team had plenty of time to study them. They obviously did not.
Ukraine’s tactics were to sit in a low block and exploit spaces left by the USA when they poured forward. It worked. Aigbogun chose to start with a high press, which left yawning gaps all over the field. It was a gift the Americans were only too glad to accept as they calmly played their way out of trouble, and then pinned the Nigerians to their half, putting particular pressure on the fullbacks who had been the major attacking outlets against Qatar.
Aigbogun failed to react, failed to shut down the spaces as his team attempted to go on a passing toe to toe against a side as well-drilled as the US. The failure was spectacular. At one point during the first half, possession was 66% to the US.
In fairness to the Flying Eagles coach he made an adjustment within half an hour, hooking Tom Dele-Bashiru after a shocking error-strewn play. The Manchester City youngster was hooked for Aniekeme Okon, who brought energy and stability into the midfield.
At least we can’t say Aigbogun doesn’t know when to make a change.

NO BASICS
Aigbogun may have been quick to react, but he was also hampered by the tools he had. His players lack of basics was painfully accentuated by the technical ability and near-scripted execution of USA.
They passed with crisp fitness, moved economically, exploited space and switched play almost telepathically. Their choreography left the Nigerians running around chasing their own tails.
When they did get possession, their touches were so heavy they could barely string three passes together before turning the ball over. Individual breakdowns littered the pitch.
Players appeared determined to forget that football is a team game, preferring to run into two or three-man cul de sacs when it was easier and more effective to pass their way out of trouble.
The second goal was of such embarrassing simplicity it cold only be compared to a chess player falling for Scholar’s mate, an elementary checkmate in four moves. Four US players were involved, starting with the goalkeeper as they ran the length of the pitch without a single Nigerian player tracking within yards!
Thursday is not so far away, but Aigbogun needs to sort these out. Fast.

OKAY, THERE WERE SOME POSITIVES. . .
For all the hysterics that attended the game - and yes, said hysterics were justified - it wasn’t all doom and gloom.
There were a still positives to glean from the defeat. For one, the players did not roll over. Once the coach made the small but significant tweak of bringing on Okon, the midfield stabilised, Kingsley Michael became more influential and the Flying Eagles gradually wrested control. Oh, and they started passing the ball too! Shocker!
This proves that this team can ball, if they set their mind to it and have the right tactics and selection.
Success Makanjuola surely must have done enough over two games to have eared himself a starters shirt over Okechukwu Offia. And impressive as Tom Dele-Bashiru was in the first game, Aniekeme Okon’s energy, passing and vocal authority may just have nicked him a shirt for the next game
Beyond personnel, Aigbogun needs to lay down the law on at least two things. First, players must stay tight and tackle to win and keep the ball. Two, they must look to release the ball as quickly as possible keep passes over 10 feet to the barest minimum. In other works, play as a friggin team!

No o. It's not that bad. If you can get one or two of those boys who are actually good, especially in midfield, can graduate to the Senior Team then it's a plus. That's the essence of the whole thing in the first place.

I am not sure what your point is.

You bring forth words but have no meaning or purpose to your non argument.

It's very simple, my view is that Chukwueze will not start at Liverpool and could easily loose progression by wasting away in the U23's.

Chukwueze has played one season of first team football at Villareal. How many games in total not sure it's over 35, outstanding potential. However, He is still finding his way in the professional game.

Great prospect yes, however proven and consistently tested not YET.

And already you have elevated him to world class. I have seen so many highly rated young players come and go. What differentiates your quality is consistent continous top class outstanding performances over time not just one season.

One season is not enough to make that conclusion. Seyi Ojo, Ryan Kent, Wilson, Ibe and others all had great potential and showed great promise at an even younger age than Chukwueze. The comparison is not to the individual but the club management culture.

And if you took time to consider and digest the opinion l expressed before crying and implying HATER you probably would look before you leap.

One thing you do not have at Liverpool is TIME you either perform or get dropped. You will not be given time to learn on the Job. Time is a very very scarce commodity at the top flight of football. More so with Liverpool. Will a young player be given time to develop in Liverpool ❓ Not in the first team sorry on loan yes.

Chukwueze needs time to develop and not be thrown into the deep end and possibly get lost and loose upward progression.

There is a comparison of the inherent football culture expectations and methodology within Liverpool. That's the pertinent observation not a comparison of individual players and thier respective attributes.

Effectively what l am doing is describing the organisational culture of Liverpool fc a world class club. Cementing that view by giving examples of players who didn't make the cut. It's not a comparison of individual players but the nature cultural management and expectations associated with Liverpool football club, a world class club.

But of course it seems you are unable to comprehend that position presented before you.

Everything you wrote up there are lies! Name one player Klopp has signed and sent to rot away with the u-23 ..
Game time won't be scarce for Chukwueze if he signs for Liverpool!

I wonder why you decided to ignore the important part of the message that stated that Chukwueze is being scouted to replace Shaqiri..

You do understand that if Shaqiri leaves there will still be Origi, Lallana, Ox and Sturridge on the bench, all are easily capable of keeping Samu out of the team. Ox has returned from injury, except him to be the first sub in most games especially as he can play 'most everywhere. Then if you are a goal down, will you in your right mind sub in Samu ahead of Origi or even Sterling If Lallana maintains a healthy season, he will fight for the final creative midfield role leaving two core workaholics in the middle.

Bro, Liverpool letting Shaqiri go is because of Ox's return

Lallana and Sturridge are very much likely to leave this summer . Ox is an injury prone player.. Klopp won't be stupid enough not to get backups for that role...as for Origi he mostly play as a 9 .Only when one of our wing forwards are unavailable that he moves to the flanks...

It is more conveniently called best 3rd placed finishers.

There are 6 groups and each group will have a 3rd placed team. From that list, the best 4 based on points, Goals difference, and all other ranking indices will be selected to move to second round.
