This is not true. Do well to read about the clinical and psychological reasons why people commit suicide. Also read more about suicide.

It is ignorance to say that those who have the intention don't announce it. While every suicide is different, people who announce their suicidal intention don't want to die and are seeking for help. It doesn't mean they will not carry out the threat if they don't get the help or attention they need.

Yes, some threaten suicide for attention but they still need help because they have underlying psychological needs requiring attention before it gets out hand.


Unfortunately, Many have followed through with their intention of suicide because of statement like yours.
