Sorry about that! I think you should correct whatever their complaint was hinged on and reapply quickly. You may still be able to meet up with July resumption. How long did your application take?

14 weeks.

No is fine
We will see what to do.

First,

My brother is the sponsor he has his own business here so he used his business account. So insufficient fune isn't really the problem cos there were over hundreds of thousands rand there as is his business account.

An agent assisted my sis to ensure every other things are in oder. So I dont know if the amount in my sis account influenced it, but say around 7 hundred thousand niara
Are you saying your sister also submitted a bank statement? Along with your brother's bank statement?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Viquetohr: 6:55pm On Jun 03, 2019
Several attempts from the High Commission to contact your sponsor and verify your ties may have proved abortive. That could possibly have led to the unverifiable sponsorship verdict, leaving you with just your own personal account which can't be sufficient for your 3-year program.

I bet there was no any form of contact. Phone is always on.

Ok, they might have just selected the bank statement from Nigeria and base her whole application on that

One more question.

Did you try to explain the two bank statements in the self introduction letter?

Or did you try identify the Sponsor's bank statement in the Sponsor's letter?

Received my passport from courier yesterday & was DENIED again for the 2ND TIME running. VISIT VISA for just 7DAYS & I was denied for just for a flimsy excuse which states CONTRADICTORY INFORMATION FROM HOST IN RSA.

I TERM IT AS A LIE from RSA Consular. If one is being invited by an ORGANIZATION & not an INDIVIDUAL, how possible is it for you to call them from here & expect anyone who picks the phone to know about it.

I SUSPECT MAYBE THIS RSA EMBASSY OR WHATEVER IT IS CALLED IS BEGINNING TO LIE.
House, pls what do you think someone like me can do?
I really need to be there on or before September.

Can someone assist with these questions?

Good evening wonderful people here. I have been a silent reader and want to appreciate everyone's contributions.

I want to know if its possible to make payment for the Visa fee before going for submission at VFS. Or the payment must be made on the submission date?

Also, can the application be done now when the proposed date is 19th September considering the delay in the process.

Thank you all in anticipation of your responses.

According to my experience
ANSWER NO 1. – You can only make payment by cash at the VFS Centre on the submission date.

ANSWER 2. – It's better to make your application earlier than later. There is no point delaying your application as long as u have all ur documents ready.

BUT, YOU NEED TO START PRAYING FROM NOW SO THAT THEY WON'T LOOK FOR A CUNNING LIE TO TRY & DENY YOU. I guess that's their new strategy now. They only get away with all these kind of trash in Nigeria. GOD HELP THIS COUNTRY or maybe fractionalization is even the way forward for this country now. Who knows??

I guess they are busy sorting for a good reason to deny visa.

But why do they hold someone's passport so long when they will be denying visa. You wast money and also time.

I think something needs to be urgently done in regards to these I'll treatment.

THE MOST PAINFUL PART IS THAT, AFTER WAITING FOR SO LONG, THEY MIGHT STILL LOOK FOR A FLIMSY EXCUSE TO DENY PERSON. They don't even worry themselves to call people anylonger for clarification. They will just deny the person outrightly. I ONLY SEE THAT AS NOTHING ELSE BUT SELFISH WICKEDNESS.

I'm not a critical skill holder but started processing on SAQA ,
With what I'm seeing here, I guess you have been given the Critical skill Visa without gaining employment in SA and so they require you to get a job within 12 months of your stay and report to the DHA with proofs cos u might need to leave their country if you don't secure a job in time frame of 12 months. My understanding though.

And please can you share the documents you presented for the critical skill and how long it took for you to be given the Visa upon application.

Thanks

Personal thoughts

1. Not to demoralize anyone, but if you have applied for a study visa and you haven't from the embassy yet; you may likely get a refusal except if you are going for a PhD, post-doc or a full research masters.
Why?? Most universities in the republic are already writing their exams hence registration for new students are fully closed. However some universities may allow certain international students to begin their programs in semester 2 if you have pre- informed them of your visa challenges.

Some study visa applicants have also failed to carry their institutions along in the challenge they are facing in getting study visa. Trust me the international office in your university can pull a lot of stunt. They will forward your name to the home affairs and ask them to issue you a visa. They will also follow up on your behalf until the visa is issued.

2. I have also noticed a lot of refusals on this platform lately. The truth is South Africa is trying so hard to reduce the influx of immigrants into their country as a lot of illegal emigrants across Africa ( Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Congo, moz, Cameroon, Guniea) are beginning to constitute threats/nuisance. So the immigration policies are now stricter.
However, one major factor why applicants are largely denied these days lies in the genuity and appropriateness of application documents. For example, if you are applying for a study visa, please ensure the adequacy of your proof of fund. Be sure that your bank statement can cover your tuition, cost of living, accommodation and some little extra bucks. If you are getting the bank statement from a sponsor, ensure that the relationship between you and the sponsor is properly spelt out and explained in a letter from your sponsor to the consular. You may also back up the relationship with birth certificates if the sponsor is your bloodline.
I wouldn't like to dwell so much on this document thing but keep in mind that your documents must be verifiable, genuine and appropriate.

3. What is in South Africa??
The answer is South Africa offers everything that Nigeria promises to be. From perfect roads, to uninterrupted power supply, to excellent weather, great health care system, to cheap world class educational system...just name any good thing you can think of, South Africa is got it.
However, there are a few negatives which alot of us already know. Job opportunities are now getting difficult and doesn't look like it's going to get any better in the nearest future so if you are coming to the republic for employment opportunities, your better think twice.

If you are coming for tourism, South Africa is the place to be especially if you want a near america or western Europe experience. If schooling is what interests , i'll like to tell you that the best schools in Africa are here in the republic.

Lastly, always have it at the back of your mind that no country in this world owes you a visa obligation.

Cheers.

Excellent report well done sir .however international offices do not have to power compel or inform home affairs to issue visa to applicants, they can only confirmed your admission letter . Of true immigration policy now extremely harsh on Nigerians hence becoming difficult for " hustlers " to come SA. Hence you either come for study or you apply for critical skills only if your skills fall into that category. No more general work permit for west African countries.Even if you have vocational skills that can fetch you money in SA ,getting long term visa becomes a mountain .Thus study visa is the easiest route to migrate.

Well, Congratulations Slickruler on your critical skills work visa permit (CSWVP). What that requirement basically says is that you are expected to get employment within twelve months of the issuance of your CSWVP. So that does not stop you from travelling to SA. Its a simple notification that you are now employed. However, I know that there is a particular organization in Lagos that actually provide CSWVP support services.

Well, there are general requirements however when it comes to a critical skills work permit which is totally different from General Work permit, you need to be sure the skill you have is actually regarded as a critical skill in South Africa. Now apart from SAQA depending on the skill requirements vary but you must be a member of a SAQA recognized South African professional body relevant to that occupation and of course, th they will issue you documentation including a critical skill confirmation letter. You may wish to seek the service of the firm providing critical skill support service in Nigeria. i hope this helps.
