Well you answered yourself in the first sentence, it takes a stinking-ly rich man to marry more than one wife.....the irony of it is that majority of them value peace of mind and would rather opt for one wife, others as side chics.
Now the fact is this: We have a lot of single men out there who are running away from marriage for one reason or the other. Even when women chose to settle down in marriage, they come up with lots of excuses for which that should be on hold, another one would tag it as desperation on the part of the woman....... and the list continues........end result: delay in marriage or outright jilting of such lady. Are ladies to be blamed also?

I've seen a family where all the beautiful and ripe girls ready for marriages but nobody is asking for their hands in marriage. For some, it could be fault from them while others could be suffering from wicked projection from enemies. Another factor you need to consider is medical and genetic factors. For instance, variations in genetic factors such as blood group, genotype, terminal ailments, seizures, history or traces of fibroid, STD could deprive a lady from getting married.

Apart from these, the rest are man-made factors such as unsubmissiveness, pride, too much ego, snubbing opposite sex, lesbianism, hatred for opposite sex, promiscuity, ungrateful and discontent, insatiable appetite for money, poor attitude and character, among others.
