Good morning everyone,

Please I'll be coming to UK soon, Scotland, precisely. It will be my first international flight and so I lack experience in so many matters.

Please can anyone elaborate on the cabin luggage and the mail luggage thing to me? How many luggage am I permitted to carry? How do I make the most use of space since I'll be staying for one year and might be bringing a lot of things?

What and what are the must haves that I must never forget to bring?

Please, I need your kind suggestion and explanation in this matter.

Totally depends on the type of ticket, airline and if you're willing to pay more for more... all relevant official info will be on the airline's website or tickets itself.

Take plenty of dried pepper.

The most important thing you should not forget is....... Any documents you might require, that only you has access to .......

If you fly KLM, it's 23kg *2 + 10 kg hand luggage..... Weigh your luggage properly, to avoid excess luggage situation... It's $180 to carry an extra bag..........

And the main luggage should contain food items, shoes, bags and other accessories

The cabin luggage should contain just clothes??

Good day house I am new on this forum. Please I will like to ask those of you living in the UK if anybody is aware of the new EU settlement scheme going on now in the UK? I am asking on behalf of my friend in Nigeria. She just told me that her hubby in the uk just applied for the settlement scheme. She said that as soon as the hubby gets it, he will apply for spouse visa for her from Nigeria. Please I want to ask if the EU settlement status holds weight like the ILR? Can one use it to apply for spouse visa for the wife? The wife lives here in Nigeria why the hubby was a non EEA family with retained right of residence visa for five years. The hubby av spent more than five years in the UK. But the hubby av divorced his ex-spouse since 2014 and came to Nigeria in 2016 to marry my friend. My friend has been waiting for his hubby to get his permanent since 2016 but he got refused for permanent residence last year so he just applied for this new settlement scheme. So my question now is if he gets this ILR via this new EU scheme can he use it to apply for spouse visa under the UK immigration rules of meeting the finance requirements on 18,600 pounds and other requirements? I await your responses house. Many thanks

Did you do it directly from your bank account? As in did you put bank details on azimo to be debited? I still sent money yesterday and it took less than 5 minutes to get there

But, they are usually efficient!

Ohentpay finally credited me after 1 week,1 police report and 1lawyer consultation.
They spoilt my off week, caused so much distress to me and my dependents.

Needless to say,I will not be using them ever again

And if anyone ever asked my opinion,I would say ''caveat emptor''!

Thanks to all the wonderful ppl on this thread. Your comments make me smile. Kudos

As we speak ,I have had to lawyer up and report to the UK police to try to get my money back from these bastards.

I could have been sleeping on my off week but here I am having meetings because of some scum.

If you have no use for your money, toss it in the tip.

I m soooooo angry

Hello MissJekyll,
I am Emmanuel from OhentPay. I have been on Nairaland since 2010, was very active on the travel section helping folks with their visa applications between 2014 and 2016. I rarely come on here these days but I do once in a while.

An acquaintance of ours just notified me about this thread so I came here to clarify to anyone who might have questions. I have also been in contact with you since then, sending emails as we go until you threatened legal action.

We would also be communicating with all affected customers tomorrow about what happened last week, which I kept explaining to you but I could understand the frustration and lack of trust being that it was your first transaction with us

I mentioned this some days back.I don’t think they are fraudulent though but there’s something seriously wrong with their modus operandi. Never gonna use them again. They went ahead to send me mail that they have changed their bank account, I just marked the mail as spam. Once bitten...

Hello Mimzyy,
I am very sorry you felt that way. Payment service provision and remittance is a regulated industry, and quite strict here in the UK. There're a lot of changing rules and de-risking which adversely affects start ups the most and it happened to us a few months ago. We had to restructure our banking partnership to reduce the risk of money laundering. This meant that we couldn't have an account directly with Barclays Bank UK PLC. We had to go with Barclays International (corporate) or a provider that services our sector directly.
No matter the option we chose, our bank account must still change. There's literally nothing we can do about that. It happens to everyone in the industry and it will happen to us again, but for the better.

There's nothing shady about it. We're fully licensed to operate and we're supervised by the FCA

What happened. I don't think ohentpay is scam, I have used them to transfer a big sum of money some wewks ago,They were efficient, didnt have any prob with them

Hello fabgirl22,
Thanks for the kind words.

TLDR; Access Bank systems went down on 31st of June, no incoming nor outgoing payments. They were working on it throughout the weekend.
Monday, NIP network went down. Affected the whole country as a lot of financial services went down as well. We're talking payout networks, digital wallets and banks etc. Our systems had no issue, it was literally just the banking network and there's no way we could have mitigated that. We explained this to a lot of our customers and we issued refunds to those that couldn't wait and we could issue refunds for. When the network came back we had a lot of double payouts, data fragmentation etc. And we had to manually resolve every transaction with the bank.

I'll post a full post mortem and proofs (those I can) when I get home as I'm on the phone right now

I would assume it's treated like a purchase.........

PS: When you pay for money transfers with a card, it is treated as a cash withdrawal. So have that in mind when you intend to pay with a credit card.
We send our MCC codes along so you'll be heavily charged for it if it is a credit card
