So I presume Dad & Mum, share 1 room?
Brother is in 1 room?
And you occupy the last room?

Are they prepared to support your application? Do you have any bills or rent payments invoices?....

Yes I occupy the last room and they are prepared to support my application. I don’t have any rent payments invoices

Yes I occupy the last room and yes there are, I don’t pay any bills I just do cash in hand to my parents

I would personally suggest your own accommodation, prior to submitting application. Because you would not pass the accommodation test.........

How about getting a property inspection and a letter from other occupants (your parents) about their consent to your spouse coming to live in the same property?
Going by the housing act, 3 rooms to 5 people in which the living room would be counted as a room as well. Just saying..

I agree with your position...... I am looking at the legal angle. What documents can OP present to ECO, has legal entitlement to accommodation ownership, to support their application?

I feel it would be a heavier gamble to chance it.........

It's clearly not going to be an overcrowded accommodation, but satisfaction of housing prerequisite........

I thought the partner in Nigeria has to send the required documents to the partner in the UK who then sends to Sheffield?

Sorry if I've got the process wrong

Yes, you send documents to your sponsor, for onward submission.....

Goodevening everyone. My appeal was successful and we got the determination in March 2019. Till date I have not gotten any response from the home office pple. Upon our enquiries. I eventualy got a mail early may from the home office that they are yet to recieve the determination from the court. How is that possible when I have my own copy. I immediately contacted the tribunal and told them the information and they sent me one long mail like dis detailing when and the means the determination was sent to the home office. I scanned the mail and also forwarded them my own determination. They responded that it has been escalated and someone would contact me directly. Since that time I have been waiting. Any idea on what else I can do.

hi Justwise..

Looks like i forgot to photocopy my UK NARIC statements for ENGLISH LANGUAGE EVIDENCE... sighhhhh..

They're original docs..

I'm sad cos they don't come cheap, and i heard one advantage UK NARIC has over IELTS is that it doesn't expire in 2years like IELTS.. so its better to provide that for the visa extension in 2.5years time.. is that true?

I pray they return it with original docs Or i can re-order another statement for a cheaper cost with same application nos..

What do y'all think tho?

justwise:

Yes I think the tracking function is gone

Sadly when you send documents to Sheffield sometimes you will not get an acknowledgement for weeks, so don't worry yourself about that just make sure you sent it to the right address and use special delivery.

I suggest you write the GWF number on the envelope and write the full details on the first page of the package..e.g. GWF number and name of the applicant

Put the passports in a separate envelope and mark it then add it to the bigger package.

Hi fridpalor,

I remember you had ur biometrics on the 15th of May, 2019.. i had mine on the 20th of May, 2019.,, i guess you will be my destiny tracker for this settlement visa..

I sent my docs to Sheffield on the 30th of May, 2019 and it got signed and received at Sheffied via Royal Mail on the 31st of May, 2019.

The only mail i have gotten after sending in docs was on the 6th of June, 2019 which stated something like this:

Thank you for your online application which has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

PLEASE NOTE: This email is to acknowledge receipt of your Settlement application, if you or your UK sponsor have not already submitted your supporting documentation please ensure you follow the process listed below: UKVI is unable to consider your application without these documents.

Applicants from TLS locations may still send their supporting documents to the following address until further notice (they should include a suitably sized self-addressed envelope with appropriate postage for return of the documents):

Sheffield Visa Section
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
S3 8WA

Have you gotten this mail?

Have you gotten any acknowledgement on ur docs sent to Sheffield?

What date did u send ur docs to Sheffield?

Thanks for anticipated responses.

@ALL... please u can add ur comments oooo..

thanks ..

profemebee:
I got an email about being registered on their TLS website and told to even change password via a link, which isnt even working...

I hear everyone sends via Royal Mail Special Delivery.. the docs will definitely be more than 2kg.. i doubt anyone's docs here will be less than 2kg tbh.. Are you saying Royal Mail doesn't send packages above 2kg?

For the common wealth question, i think i will go for the cover letter route..

Thanks for the support.

Did you include self addressed envelop with your application sent to Sheffield? They usually return your documents with that envelop.
