all this OS u mentioned are closed source now, the only reason Android won the market like it did was for the fact that it was open source. Do u think apple IOS that is closed source will still be alive if not for the fact that it's backed by USA, the only reason blackberry died was bcus by the time they decided to make it multi platform whatsApp had already dominated the market, it's that freedom that comes with Android that's making it dominate market.... Android it's just a copy of IOS but with freedom.. if the so called oak OS is open source and every OEM in China decides to jump in it, don't be surprised if the table turns around... Cus one thing I know for sure is China prefers using what's theirs

before android were some great os today they are struggling if not dead.
if truly technology evolves then someday android might be laid to rest except it evolves.
the future always have a way it shapes itselt but would tell.
for me I see this new os surviving for the conduit is already on ground for it to thrive it is only left for it to capitalize on it, of which I believe the company is about doing.
in than post you realize android is already feeling for it went ahead to warn the US government of the impending danger the birth of that os poses.

Isa it seems you don't understand what open source means. Already all the major qpp developers are not in the US. Secondly just like Linux you can have different models but still understanding each kernel. As for the huawei os it will understand both apk apps and any format that they decide to initiate later.
In the long run android stand to loose as almost all Chinese companies will convert to new os, also many foreign companies will also prepare themselves against finding themselves in hard situation by American policies. This will eventually extend to even European companies.
