I don’t even have up to your budget to invest on solar yet and I’m already using one as I just hate generators.

My setup:

500w solar inverter-6000 (led tv 32”, laptop, havit speaker with whoofer, energy saving bulbs etc.)

Battery charger- 6000 (10A battery charger)

100ah battery- 25000 (Uk used but battery health is still 100%) there’s more info on batteries if needed like lithium batteries which are lighter and stronger. Also 200ah battery for the type I bought is 45k.

Cable for connection and other little connectors- 5000

Total- N47000

Based on loads I use at a time, it last a minimum of 5 hours, and if I’m on laptop only which is 85w, I’ve used it for more than 8hours at it did not run down.
In my area we have at least 4hours light in a day if the supply is not faulty and my 100ah gets charged with same period.
For me to have guaranteed light on my solar setup throughout the day, I need a 250-300w solar panel which is like 45-50k at Alaba market and 30A Charge Controller which is like 6-10k depending on source.

Don’t mind me I’m a DIY kind of person and it fascinates to

There are many DC appliances like (dc iron 6000, dc blender 13000, dc fan 10000, dc freezer, dc cooker, dc water pump, dc air conditioning etc) that you can buy now and it can be connected directly to your battery for usage.

I’m available if you have questions.
u try. Ur post make sense.

No solar if u need solar let's say 600w+ charge controller is extra cost, like extra 90k

how sure are you abt the price of 200ah battery?
because I have a 2.4kva inverter(pure sine wave) and I might sell it since it requires 2 battery and I was told 120k each for 220ah

U can use one if na one u can afford

Not high is based on specifications i gave u ,mine is the cheapest you get out there
If you need lower specifications u can as well say it,
What's is your budget?
Re: Are Inverters Worth It? by Kingkun69(m): 8:32am On Jun 11, 2019
Yes it's really really worth it I use luminous solar nxg 1500 and a day's worth of charging gives a whole day and night uninterrupted although since I am a bachelor that needs light for work u might budget some more for more batteries if you plan on using an AC or fridge or if lots of things are turned on together but me only things on when I use it is the Wi-Fi fan smart TV laptop light and maybe game console when friends or younger ones are around

Cause most of the batteries I see online cost on average 90k.
I'm willing to do 120k of course if it gets me a better product.

if it's only laptop u want to power then u don't need spend that outrageously. Just get LifePo4 inec type blue battery with its charger and DC distributor. Its very very much less expensive and can power your laptop for good 20hrs when fully charged, it also has an advantage of light weight as it can be easily carried even if u don't have light to charge it @ home but if u can get it with just an 80watts monochrystaline solar panel then your laptop continues working as long as u want it non stop. Its just 48AH lithium ion battery but I can confidently and boldly tell u that its more durable and stronger than many 100AH batteries. One other advantage is that it is very much cost effective. The battery, charger and a DC distributor is all u need at just 35k, then the 80watt panel is around 15k, then solar charge controller at just 5k, with these u r good 2 go. But if u have at least 6hrs light supply in your area then u don't even need the solar panel as u can just charge it with NEPA light.

I have done extensive research on that product.. It's not worth it.. Thanks for the suggestion anyway smiley

That product is just a piece of sh!t, two of my friends actually got it respectively but have been complaining.

Theirs a member of Nairaland that deal on solar, I think from 34k upwards. I'm a testimony, got one from him early last year and it has being doing just fine.

This makes sense, wish it can power a tv and maybe a gotv decoder.
